The end of dusk arrives, where moonlight slowly replaces the role of sunlight. Although not as bright as the sun, but enough to illuminate the expanse of the valley of Lockdown city in the dark of night. At least everyone can still see each other's faces even with a fairly close distance.
Therefore, the help of light from the witches greatly helped the illumination. In addition, torches of fire also began to be lit on many tents and semi-permanent buildings that were back on their feet after the ravages of the previous night's attack.
After going through a lot of farewell dramas with people who care and hope for her. Nora entered the city through the Lockdown city gate without any inspection. He was accompanied by Master Clivard and some of his subordinate magic knights.
Nora turned back, looking at the Mother and family valley of Lockdown city. He smiled with tears. While from a distance, his mother smiled while wiping tears that he could not hold. It will be their last moment to meet face to face, even from a distance.
Nora stepped slowly, standing right in front of a large gate that was only open to them witches. Nora never imagined what the city would be like, but now it will soon enter the city. At this moment he was near and saw firsthand the city gate that people in his clan longed to open right before his eyes.
The gate was raised up. Nora's eyeballs looked down following the groove of the gate that started moving it. His eyes were rising until they were straight ahead. Then a moment of snobbing up. The gate was right above his head. Nora trembled in disbelief, she actually entered the city of Lockdown.
"Come in.." Said Master Clivard stepping first through the gate.
Nora stepped up for sure, undaunted. Arriving inside he gaped in amazement with towering buildings. Nora raised her head, she saw so many tall buildings. Although it was quite far from where it currently stood but the tall building unlike the buildings he had seen it looked quite clear.
Nora was amazed at what she saw. The hustle of the lights of the settlement, the interesting buildings he had never seen, magic and all sorts of oddities. Lockdown is like an advanced civilization that Nora could never have imagined.
"Welcome to Lockdown."
Nora turned around, looking at Master Clivard with happy sparkling eyes. He could not hide how happy he was to see the miraculous things that he could only find in his dreams he could now see with his eyes.
"Come, this way. This place is the outside of town. We're going into the deepest district of the city. Meet the magic chancellor." Master Clivard pointed at a carriage.
Slowly Nora followed. He passed through many gatekeeper magic knights. There were many and all were looking at Nora. What Nora does not realize is the fact that she is currently being stared at cynically by those magic knights who were indoctrinated since they were children if nope is an inappropriate enemy to set foot into the city of Lockdown.
Nora stepped up, the few small steps she took were enough to make her reach in front of a carriage. Nora looked forward, she did not see any horses or anything that could pull the carriage.
"Please go up." Master Clivard holds Nora's hand.
The confused looking Nora stared full of question marks. Seeing that, Master Clivard smiled. "this carriage moves with magic, so there's no need for a horse to pull it." He spoke as if he knew the meaning of Nora's confused face.
"Whoahhhhh.." His face shone again in amazement. Not even he could overcome his amazement once he saw various magical things ahead there. Now he again had to show his happy face as soon as he boarded another magic train.
Nora with all the happiness in her heart, with the great hope that was on her shoulders. He made sure, encouraging to meet the patron of the valley of Lockdown.
Meanwhile, under the waning moonlight. Those nope or asylum seekers had dispersed from the party crowd that ended the moment Nora entered Lockdown.
Arguably, the highlight of this party was Nora's departure towards the gate. After a series of formalities that occur during the party, then closed with the passage of Nora towards the city gate with the magic knights. Today's farewell party is completely over.
His mother is still sad. He was sad and happy to see his son in the city. The mixed feeling made him shed tears while smiling. He was not alone, the old women in their group tried to entertain and accompany. They are mothers whose children first enter the city. With the same hope, the hope that will never be realized.
The situation changed just after the night was getting more mature. The bright moonlight disappeared instantly. Luckily there were still fire torches burning in the darkness of the night in various tents and semi-permanent buildings.
The moonlight was covered by the black clouds that were clumping in the sky. It looked cloudy, but there was no sign of rain. There was no rumbling sound of thunder or lightning strikes. Winds that blow away dust also include breeze that is unlikely to bring a storm.
Silent and silent voice. There was only a small chatter from asylum seekers who were in small groups after breaking away from the recent farewell party. Talk about things only they know.
Not as crowded as the party was in the afternoon leading up to dusk a moment ago. It wasn't as crowded last night either.
It seems that the massacre last night caused the asylum-seeking population in this valley to decrease dramatically by even half. It's only natural that tonight wasn't as crowded as last night.
Speaking of the massacre that took place last night, several families also prayed for the death of their family members. With the traditions they brought from their hometown. They pray for the victims.
Some have returned to mourning the loss. Sad and crying. It seems that after the party there are still many people who return to remember the terrible moment. What else has happened not too long ago, even just happened.
"Room.. Sleep in my tent! You can continue your journey tomorrow." The Dwarf grandfather who was walking limping turned his head towards the tent he had just finished rebuilding with the help of tools from the magic knights.
"What are they all doing this for?" Asked Richard who saw some of the magic knights still in the valley.
It seems that not all magic knights enter the city of Lockdown. There were still some magic knights wandering around the valley, then tares were tidying up some items.
"Of course it helps us.. Looky. The place that has been destroyed by the ravages can now return to our place as usual." Dwarf's grandfather answered a spontaneous question that came out of Richard's mouth.
Richard who heard it did not pique, he looked around again. Is watching closely. "Magic knights? Magic chancellor? And the screams I heard when all the demons were destroyed. What's with all this?" He murmured in his heart.
Richard walked away from the Dwarf grandfather, he saw some magic knights tidying up the luxurious tent they had occupied since this morning. The magic knight tidied up the various tools they had brought from inside the city to the outside of the city this morning to help restore the valley of Lockdown city.
Richard approached slowly. "Hey Red, where are you going?" The Dwarven grandfather's reprimand saw Richard move away from him.
"I'm sorry I have business." His words disappeared in the darkness.
The Dwarf Grandfather was surprised, just for an instant. He had already lost Richard from sight. "Where is the young man? Hmm, he really is a strange young man."
Some of the magic knights were busy, using magic to move various tools and improve to get into the city immediately. Richard settles unnoticed, along with someone who always follows him.
"If you still follow me! I'll hit you." He said slowly but firmly. It made Woli come out of the shadow and reveal herself. One of the skills that only sheds the werewolf type.
"But sir.." Said. Staring lovingly like a kitten asking for food from its master.
"Shut up here.." Richard's Emphatic.
The two of them hid behind a semi-permanent building not far from where the knights were tidying up their belongings.
It seems that they are talking about something right now. But because the distance from Richard's current place to the place of the magic knights had not been too close. Richard could not know for sure what they were talking about.
"I need to get closer." His words are full of curiosity.
"They will soon enter the city lord. Said one of them, if the subject of the magic core is already on the way to the magic chancellor's residence." Woli replied to Richard's murmur.
"What's? What does that mean?" Richard looked at the meaningless Woli.
Woli flatly said if she could clearly hear what the magic knights were saying. His hearing as a werewolf is quite far away, he can hear things from a distance even up to a radius of 5 kilometers if he is in focus.
Richard's surprised. Knowing that, of course, Richard took advantage of Woli's listeners and continued to give him information about what the magic knights were really talking about.
But there was no information about Nora nor any information Richard wanted to know. A while later, a female magic knight approached the other magic knights.
"The woman." It is dark because there is no light. Richard's trained vision could see clearly if the woman who appeared was Neyah. One of the magic knights he had met before.
They left as Neyah greeted them. Richard took the opportunity to get close, with his hunting skills removing the aura of his being. Still full of curiosity, he followed silently.
Slowly but surely Richard lowered his head while taking a slow step. Looking ahead while occasionally paying attention to the steps just in case there is a gravel that interferes with his footsteps. Avoid sand crumbs and fallen tree stalks that can make a sound when he steps.
The magic knights were heading towards the city gate. In front of the Lockdown city gate, there was a bright light shining on the large building. The building is a guard post. A place where magic knights monitor and watch over nope and threats from outside the town of Lockdown.
Just above the building is a towering tower. A tower elsewhere for magic knights monitored and guarded the city gates from above the great wall that protected the city.
The bright light near the building was quite disturbing for Richard who was eager to get close without being noticed. Richard realized that he would be caught if it advanced more than it is today. He silently watched, quite a number of magic knights were on guard, while others entered the huge building.
The huge building was right next to the city gate that had already closed back after Nora and a few magic knights entered a moment ago.
The city gates can only be opened using special magic spells. Only the city's guardian magicians know the magic spell. Without the gatekeeper, then the city gate would not be possible to open even if struck with the might of magic power. It had been tested with various attacks from the demon clan or from the kingdoms that tried to attack the city in the past.
Richard was still paying attention, he lowered his head while taking cover behind the boulder. Try to find the right opportunity to get closer. The curiosity is quite large considering he knows very well if the party that was held this afternoon had other intentions than just a party to deliver Nora's departure.
He's very sure. He himself did not know what made him so sure.
From the front, a woman is seen coming out of the building along with several other knights. It seems like they are heading towards the valley settlement. Richard saw an opportunity, did he know the woman who had just come out.
"This way the city's energy supply can be replenished." Said one of the knights among the four of them.
"Neyah.. Never mind. You don't have to be sad."
"I.. I'm not sad." Flat language.
The four of them walked back towards the settlement.
Neyah was hard enough to accept the reality. His nature was slightly different from that of most magic knights. He knew all the lies that were going on, as well as the harsh reality behind him.
His kindness often makes him not want to do everything he just did. Even so, he also loved the town of Lockdown and had no other choice but to carry out all the orders of the magic chancellor. All Neyah could do was close her guilt to the nope and continue to do her job of guarding the town of Lockdown.
One of the four of them held a stick. With magic spells the wand glowed, like a flashlight lighting their way in the darkness.
Meanwhile, from behind, although heard but Richard managed to hear back what they were talking about even without the help of Woli. Richard followed slowly, he was so close but none of the magic knights were aware of Richard's existence.
"Neyah.. Stop. Stop putting on such a moody face. You're always so surly when we're having a farewell party for nope." A tough one ushered the four of them.
"You know it.. Sacrifice needed. If it wasn't so then the town of Lockdown wouldn't have been able to survive to this point." Her connection advised Neyah who since the party sulked.
In the midst of their conversation, suddenly one of the magic knights bounced far enough.
Others surprised. The three of them put up the defensive horses and watched around. The light goes out because the person who has just bounced away and unconscious is the one who uses light magic on his wand.
In the darkness, the three of them turned their backs on each other. Look and standby.
"Who's there?" Neyah shouted.
The three of them did not react. Another crashing attack made them flinch and fall to the ground. The formations they made to endure were faltering.
"Neyah..." Nerwen screamed when he saw his sister being kidnapped by someone. It was dark enough that he could not save Neyah.
Neyah could not move. Both of his arms in the lock were very strong, he could not fight back. A moment before he shouted, he fainted with a hard punch on his right shoulder.
"Neyah.. Let go of my sister!" Nerwen moved quickly. Prepare attack.
Then.. A very hot burst of fire distracted him. Shortly after the fire was extinguished. Neyah and her captor disappeared, untraceable.
Same time, though,..
The first district of Lockdown is also known as the Lockdown town square. Secromentus began his search. He was standing right in front of the magic convention hall, a building where the councils of magic consulates gathered and discussed various political policies together with the magic chancellor.
The tallest building in Lockdown. A fitting place for Sacromentus activates vision magic. A magic to know or track whatever is targeted by its users.
The higher the place the magic was activated, the wider the range of the magic. With the aura of Anne Drigory and Emma Drigory that he already knew. Sacromentus began his search.
With just one quick leap, Sacromentus was already standing tagged on top of the hall building of the magic worship hall. His old face stared intently forward, then closed his eyes and recited a spell. "Amplificationem magicae: vision expansion"
He raised his hand, then a magic circle began to form. The magic circle was originally small, but over time it grew and continued to grow. Now the magic-circle almost covered all the sky of Lockdown city.
When the magic is active. The blindfolded Sacromentus began to sense all the auras and knew what was happening around him without looking. He began to look for an aura that was at least the same as the aura of Anne Drigory and Emma Drigory.
Sacromentus seems to be concentrating. A few moments passed but he could not find what he was looking for. Unsatisfied, he then expanded his magic range again. The magic circle that covered the sky again widened and got bigger.
A few moments later. Sacromentus opened his eyes. Turn to the left. "Hogward's school of magic." Mumbled. Instantly he disappeared. The goal is Hogward's school of magic.
The vision magic that Sacromentus activated vanished once he was sure he had found the same aura radiance he was looking for. Meanwhile, from the direction of Hogward's magic school. The place that Sacromentus is heading to. The magic research complex. In one of the buildings in the room. There are women who have the same aura with the aura of Anne Drigory and Emma Drigory. That woman is Oana.
