Ch. 42 - A Trap in a Village

The Nusantara royal palace..

King Jolang sat alone on his throne while pensively thinking about the heavy decision he had taken to defend the island of Cebes.

"William.. Please reply quickly to the message I sent." He muttered while being worried.

The decision taken by Jolang to send so many troops to the island of Cebes can not be separated from the insistence of nobles who are on the island of Cebes. Unlike the other kingdoms where the king's decision is absolute.. But in the Nusantara kingdom, big decisions must be taken based on the results of joint decisions through large meetings between nobles.

"Who are you?" jolang said he saw the young man.

"I am the son of Rein Wijaya and his best student.. My name is Ishan Wijaya." Said the fat-haired young man.

"Yes his majesty. I'll take my father's place as your right hand man as long as he goes on errand." Ishan.

Ishan Wijaya, son of the great knight Rein Wijaya. Ishan was a great knight who served in one of the forts located in the eastern part of Jatra island and he returned to the capital due to his father's special request.

Ishan is 23 years old and he has been a great knight since the age of 19.. Even among the knights, Ishan in the fields would become the great knight next in his father's place if his father died or retired.

Meanwhile..

In a valley..

"Mr Arthur.. Soon we will arrive at a city." one of Inggram's royal knights shouted on horseback.

The city that the knight was referring to was named the city of Gouda. The first city they would meet after entering the territory of the Celestial kingdom.

Moments later.. Their group passed through a village that looks ravaged.

Arthur raised his hand as a sign for them to all stop for a moment.

The knights noticed the condition of the village.. All the buildings collapsed and some were seen as traces of fire. But there were no inhabitants, only a few rotting animals.

Arthur then got off the horse.. It's walking.. The sound of armor he was wearing sounded as he started walking. The other holy knights also started descending from the vehicle looking at the surroundings.

"Where is everyone?" Ivy asked as she glanced to her right and left.

"This place is so fucked up, it looks like the residents have already escaped from here." Said Leo approaching one of the wooden houses.

Gildarts.. It touches the ground. "Still hot.. Looks like this damage hasn't been long." Her speech.

Arthur frowned.. There is something strange in this village. Until finally... A little boy approached them.

"Hey, look.." Diana shouted to all her comrades.

A little boy in blood-filled clothes approached. The silent-looking daughter looked towards Diana with an expressionless flat gaze.

"Hey little sister.." Diana approached slowly.

The little boy just kept silent and did not respond.

"What's your name, little boy?" Diana was still trying to approach slowly.

While his other comrades were watching from afar.

Diana continued to approach, until she was finally one step ahead of the little boy.

"RINTO'S.." Arthur shouted loudly.

Rinto seemed to know what he should do at this moment.

"Obice soli." Rinto said as he stomped his giant hammer to the ground.

"What are you doing?" Diana turned towards Rinto.

"Diana got out of there." Arthur said he ran closer.

Diana still did not understand the circumstances, a moment later she realized that in front of her currently looks a large enough monster with a shape like a live carcass flower.

Diana quickly retreated backwards.

It turned out that Diana had almost entered into a mouth full of poison from the flower's mosnter. The child they saw was an illusion of the poison powder produced by the monster.

Arthur jumps.. He pulled out his sword and with the power of light he slashed the monster in two.

"God.. It's almost." Said Smits looking relieved.

"Diana.. You're not papa?" Ivy's approaching.

"I'm not papa." Diana was still stunned as she let her guard down.

"Huh.. It's almost." Arthur said he put his sword back into the sheath on his left waist.

That monster.. It split into two and died instantly.

The knights of Inggram kingdom could only remain silent.

"As expected of a holy knight." Said one of Inggram's royal knights.

All of a sudden..

The head of the Inggram kingdom knight was detached.

Suddenly it made everyone surprised and wary of him.

"Well!"

"Who is that?" Leo held his katana.

The figure that was currently before them was a figure of a devil that was stocky, tailed and had long claws.

"Great are you humans.. You can escape that trap. Even if it works I don't have to bother showing up." The Devil said.

"Well!! He's talking." Said Leo.

"Yes, he's not a demon... The last time we faced a talking demon was 4 months ago.. We're facing Rever Block." Arthur said he smiled because he could meet a powerful demon.

"Now.. I'm gonna kill you guys.." The devil said while reciting a spell.
