The Strongest Knight's

The Strongest Knight's
Ch. 134 - A Fucked Night

The silent night instantly turned boisterous..

Echoes of warning bells were heard throughout the valley where the town of Lockdown was located, but those threatened were not residents of the town of Lockdown but rather those who built semi-permanent settlements around the city.

The sound of the bells was enough to panic those who were bad at living around the city of Lockdown even though they did not manage to get into the city to take shelter. What else the first attack that exploded above the sky made all of them unable to resist the fear of remaining still and staying in the real place again would become a battlefield.

As a result, the hysterical sound of the residents of the settlement became more and more so when they gawked can not talk to see the group of demon troops filled the sky and closed the moonlight. The sky, which had been bright enough with moonlight, was now darkened by the flapping wings of the demons that filled the sky.

"Ap.. What the fuck is that?" a resident with sweat filled his face.

"Chancellor.. Help us!" Connect a woman while holding her hands tightly in front of her chest as if praying.

The sound of the bells grew noisy but the magic knights who were revered and praised as their saviors did not also appear.

The guards of the great wall surrounding the city of Lockdown were not in action, they were simply dumbfounded by the impromptu attack at night like this time. What's more, this attack happened not just on one side of the Lockdown city wall, but the attacks occurred on every side of the city that made the magic knights focus more on dispelling the attacks of demons who attacked the giant wall directly rather than helping the residents who were outside the city.

As the rumors circulated, the defense of Lockdown city was very strong and had never been penetrated before. That's right, at least the city's defensive fortifications and domes will not be penetrated by outside attacks despite a large-scale attack like tonight.

It made the residents of the city inside the dome not to worry even not to feel the attack that occurred at this time, the atmosphere of peace and calm enveloped the city. Make ready just who are in the Lockdown city area can sleep soundly without thinking anything, or worried about any attack.

Things like that don't happen outside of town.

This night is a nightmare for those who live outside the city..

Rumbling sounds filled the sky, demons and monsters attacked from the direction of the sky and the forests. Explosions from fireballs and magic attacks filled the sky and destroyed anything it hit.

People are like ants when viewed from the sky, they all run there and here like confused people who do not know what to do. They could only shout and ask for help, pray and glorify the name of the magic chancellor.

While the situation is getting precarious..

In the semi-permanent settlement in the eastern part of Lockdown, a chaste knight with his burly body fights against an army of demons and monsters that are approaching.

The magic knight swung his greatsword using only one hand. It was as if the sword was light enough to play like that. With a single powerful slash, several monsters and winged demons split into two.

Pege, while stopping the first attack that led to the settlement. He did not stop fighting the monsters and the army of demons that kept coming. He fought seriously without saying a word, he fought because he liked it.

While Pege was late in the fight, it was not far from where Richard and Nora ran. Panicked Nora continued to run in search of the whereabouts of Mother and her brother, leading to the tent where Brother and Mother were after the first attack that Pege had slashed easily. But unfortunately his brother and mother were not in the tent, what else the tent was destroyed by fire.

Nora was hysterical, but Richard who was with her managed to calm Nora down after noticing that there were no bodies in the tent. It means that the two people Nora is looking for may still be alive.

But looking for someone in a strange and crowded situation in the midst of chaos like now is very difficult, people push each other in panic. They are all not calm because if not immediately away then life is at stake.

Nora kept shouting for her mother and sister, her delicate voice was not loud enough to hear anything else amid the noise of the panicked residents like this.

While Richard who was walking slowly behind Nora was also looking for someone, he was looking for the Dwarf grandfather who had been kind enough to feed and drink this day and night. For Richard, he had to pay for the kindness that grandfather had given him.

And in order to pay for the Dwarf grandfather's kindness, Richard at least wanted to make sure that grandfather didn't die tonight and would save that grandfather from this dangerous place.

"Tolodongg..."

"Goddessaarrg..."

"Not my son.. My son..!!"

The sound of screaming was heard everywhere.. What a fucked up night.

Meanwhile..

On top of one of the giant walls, magic knights gathered together to defend the city of Lockdown.

They all attacked the flying demons while fending off all the attacks that came crashing into the city's gigantic protective wall. Although the wall remained solid because it was fed by an enormous magic power but still, they all had to defend and counterattack all the attacks.

The magic knights looked gallant while counterattacking the enemies who attacked them. Sheltering behind a magic dome while attacking with a gigantic cannon was the best thing they could all do.

This time no magic knights came out from the protective dome, they only survived inside the dome. They defend and attack without fear of injury or loss of life.

It was the basic principle of defense of the city of Lockdown known as the city that had the strongest defense.

"What is the strongest.. We gotta get out of here!" An elven woman insisted inside one of the domes in the eastern city of Lockdown.

"Neyah.. It's an order, it's a defense procedure." Said Nerwen, an elf man who held tightly to Neyah's hand who was quite upset.

Nerwen and Neyah, they were both elf-race magic knights who had been involved in an incident with Richard earlier this afternoon in the forest.

Neyah was furious because this time the order that the magic higher-ups gave her as a magic knight was to defend within the dome and not attack out. He was furious because only this time he as a magic knight could not protect people who often praised him after successfully defeating the demon army. Those people were those who were currently running around without direction, hoping to gain protection from her who was a magic knight.

"Don't stop me Nerwen.. This is our duty as magic knights!" Neyah said firmly to her brother.

"What task? Huh uh?? Hey, our job is to obey the magic chancellor's orders. Remember that.." Nerwen pointed at Neyah who still looked annoyed.

While they argue.. The chaos grew. Rumbling sounds and magic explosions rang out, the damage looked severe. The demon army had surrounded the entire area of the city from sky to land.

"No.. Not like this, we have to protect them." Neyah pointed downwards, which she meant were semi-permanent settlement residents who shuddered away from death.

In the midst of the debate between the two brothers and sister, there were also magic knights who were busy walking and running around defending the magic dome. They were all moving, only Neyah and Nerwen were arguing.

Neyah who was furious and wanted to get out of the dome to protect the outsiders and Nerwen who was chuckling held Neyah back from doing anything reckless.

"Calm down.. Neyah!" A middle-aged man with shoulders whose fields were approaching.

Neyah and Nerwen immediately lowered their heads and respectfully looked at the middle-aged man.

"Mr Maximof.." Neyah bowed and knelt down.

"Tell me Neyah.. What do you want to do?" Ask the guy named Maximof.

"Master.. As a magic knight I want to protect those outside the city. I'm.."

The arrogant Maximof cuts off Neyah's words. "You're so naive Neyah..." Rigorously.

"View.. Look at your colleagues." Said Maximof trying to open Neyah's eyes.

"Do you think all of us here aren't trying to protect the city.. Do you think the existence of a dome and a huge fortress is enough to defend the city of Lockdown.. No, it's not enough Neyah."

"Look up in the sky.. Can you see the starry night sky and the bright moon." Maximof pointed at the sky.

The transparent magic dome made them all able to see the sky above it. The dome that protects Lockdown is like the ozone layer that protects the earth, thick but transparent.

"View.. Look they have all filled the sky, they have filled the land even our comrades who are in the lower fortress are also struggling to counterattack this army of hundreds of thousands." Maximof.

Neyah could not say anything, her emotions subsided when she knew that even if she got out of this place she still could not do anything. Existing, he would only die silly being attacked by the flying demons that surrounded the entire dome from the sky.

The flying demon entourage was like an insect with its big eyes, like a bee flying around its nest. They huddled to attack and continued to attack even though one by one of them died when exposed to magic, dying when hit by a giant cannon that was on top of a giant wall. They kept attacking, no expression or a word. The demons were attacking like puppets controlled by something.

"You have to understand the situation.. I know how you feel, Neyah. But remember, our job is not to protect those at the bottom.. Our main task is to protect the city of Lockdown and the people who are in the city.."

"This is the right decision.. No magic knight should die in vain. What's more for dying for protecting the nope like those you want to protect..

"Remember.. Those nope from the beginning did not deserve to be in this valley. They should all be grateful for the kindness of the magic Chancellor who let them stay and provided protection.. But, not for now Neyah. However, the safety of the city and the people living in it is much more important. Firmly Maximof who is a magic knight with a higher rank than the two of them.

Neyah could not dodge, other than because the eyes were open to see the reality. What Maximof said was also true, that those magic unions had no obligation to protect the nope.

The attack that came this time was a surprise attack of considerable scale. There was no time to think of the nope, who there was only exerting all of her magic power and resources to dodge and defend Lockdown city from the demon army.

While the situation outside the city became very chaotic.

Housed within the city, the situation looked safe and in control. Even the residents of the town of Lockdown are still sleeping soundly and dreaming beautifully. No one felt what was happening outside the city, they were all safe and secure.

In one of the places inside the city, a light shone quite brightly. The bright light was a magic circle where right in the middle was a young woman whimpering in helpless pain.

The young woman looked thin and only used a few pieces of cloth as clothes. Her hair was messy, thin enough that a single sweep of wind could make her hair fall out and fall like a flower.

The woman screamed in pain with a blank look, for how long she had been hanging in the iron pole in the middle of the glowing magic circle.

There were many hooded witches surrounding the place, behind an old man along with a beautiful woman standing staring at a magic mirror that revealed various magic attacks from all over.

The woman was the magic chancellor and his aide, as well as some of the city higher-ups who were watching the fight that was out there.

"Chancellor.. This is a huge attack, I'm not sure the power core of the magic dome can withstand all of these attacks." Said one of the magicians who started to panic watching the chaos that appeared in front of him.

"Just calm.. This is nothing. Trust me, a far worse attack has ever hit this town." The Chancellor of magic.

"But-but.."

"You shut up, young man.. I've lived long enough, even before your hair was gray." The magic chancellor said with great confidence.

"Again.. We have found a replacement for the magic core, after this attack is over. Immediately pick up the new magic core of the city.. And don't let him die." The magic chancellor said with a smile.

Back out of town..

Cracked and hollow land, fallen trees, burning buildings and corpses. There was no help from what they expected, those who were still alive still had to fight from the midnight terror that came pouncing.

There was no resistance for them, they were left to be slaughtered just like that..

No one helped, though,

The sound of crying boomed, a child lost his mother, a mother lamenting the death of his family, the mighty men who fought to die in vain. At least that's what happened until now.

Still in the same place, the eastern region of semi-permanent settlements that already appear to be collapsed. A fight ensued, a resistance from those who could still fight back. A group of old and young men holding weapons were seen facing off against the monsters that were rampaging and crashing in all directions.

The one leading them was a grandfather of the Dwarf race.

"Yeaharrrggg.." The grandfather was holding an axe with his sturdy arm. He jumped while cutting off the head of the monster that attacked him.

One powerful slash made the monster's head instantly slip from its neck.

It happened from the beginning, since the beginning of the attack the group of men had put up resistance while hoping for help from the army of magic knights who never came.

"Dead you, dead... Yep.." A human with a considerable sword ability managed to subvert several small monsters.

The party clashed with the monster army, they all fought valiantly and slightly managed to hinder the attack.

"Don't underestimate me.. I'm a former soldier of the Naugrim kingdom." Shouted the Dwarven grandfather valiantly.

But alas, he was old enough to be in the middle of the invasion of the demon army. The monsters that kept coming could not be halted, the sound of their cries and struggles felt futile once the new army came with strength far above all of them.

The sound of swords and slashes rang out, accompanied by the screams from the pieces and splashes of blood from their bodies being torn apart by those monsters.

"Iroh... Watch out..!!" The Dwarf grandfather watched one by one his colleagues get killed, he shouted to one of the men who were hit by claws to make the man split into 3 parts.

"Irohh... You're a fucking monster." The Dwarf grandfather with the remnants of his strength ran grasping the axe with both hands, he intended to decapitate the monster that had killed Iroh so tragically.

As soon as he swung the axe, suddenly the monster dodged agilely and counterattacked.

The Dwarf grandfather was pressed for not being able to react, he was silent while closing his eyes as if resigned to the death he was about to face.

And..

Sparks of blood filled his face..

"Don't die old Dwarves.. I haven't returned the favor to you." Said Richard who came to dispel the monster.

The monster died with fire blowing its head off.
