Ch. 103 - That Little Slave, Named...

After finding an information book about demons, Richard now again finds an interesting book as well as a clue about the existence of the God race.

In a village not far from the royal capital Inggram. The wolf man was a slave, a slave of the shed race who was captured by slave hunters, he was caught in a valley far from the Inggram kingdom.

After being caught by the wolf man, it was sold to a merchant from the kingdom of Inggram. Long story short, the wolf man became a slave but because of his weak and thin condition and often made mistakes, he was dumped by his master. He was not sold but he was thrown away, until finally he was caught trying to steal food in a tavern.

He was tortured for it, constantly tortured.. He was used to being tortured because his previous employer also tortured him very often. In the whip even up to be thrown stones by the children of the previous employer.

No one cared about him, he was just a helpless little werewolf boy. As a result of the torment he had received since becoming a slave, he lost his emotions and his eyes went blank.

At the tavern where he stole food, he was tortured because he did not want to say who his employer was. Not unwilling to say but indeed he did not know who his master was since he was left in this village. He was whipped until it bled, until the shop owner threatened to sell it back to the slave tins.

The torment stopped as a man approached towards the two of them.

"E.. Excuse me sir.. Why is this child you are tormenting?"

The owner saw someone approaching.

"This damn slave has stolen food in my shop. I don't know who the owner is." he said annoyed.

The little wolf man looked shabby with dirty clothes that were not fit to wear. The stranger who approached was Richard who finally gave money to the owner of the tavern to compensate for his losses.

"Are you the owner of this slave?" ask the owner of the store after receiving some gold pieces.

"No, I just happened to pass by."

"Then I take this slave and sell it again."

"Hey sir, you'd better get him back to his owner."

"I've been yelling all day here and there but no one wants to admit this dirty slave" he said.

"Then he's mine because I've paid you with gold coins." claims Richard.

"Are you kidding.. The price of slaves on the market is twice this."

Without a second thought Richard took out all the gold pieces he currently had to redeem the little boy. The shopkeeper who checked and was satisfied with the numbers then dragged the little boy in front of Richard.

"hey little sister, are you okay?" Richard approached slowly and stroked the little boy's head.

At first the slave refused because it was unethical for him to sit on the same bench as the master but Richard's kindness melted the slave principle that was ingrained in his mind after two years he became a slave. For the first time the boy smiled and ate his food voraciously.

Seeing the boy smile at Richard's previously troubled mood, he calmed down again. He thought a small thing like this could bring about a major change to the world he currently belonged to. Although mentally weak, but Richard's sympathy and empathy is very large.

"Sir.. Why don't you eat?" Asked the wolf man who was still a small slave all of a sudden.

Richard was shocked as the slave asked in his soft voice. "Eh.. Hehe, I'm not hungry." Richard replied with a smile, holding back his hunger while holding his rumbling stomach

Richard was not not hungry but he had spent all his money to redeem the little wolf cub to the tavern owner who tortured him continuously.

After that incident.. The wolf man who was still a child judged that Richard was a good man and a hero to him. Although only meet and be together all day but it was quite save to make him happy and remember the kindness of Richard to date.

After a long day together, Richard abandoned the werewolf boy and gave him his freedom. The thing that made the boy no longer a slave.

Richard separated, because he had to carry out his duties as a holy knight. Whether he's going to do training in a dangerous labyrinth, he can't take a child into the labyrinth and when Richard gets into the labyrinth, he never comes back. It was the day Richard was presumed dead by everyone.

The little boy left behind by Richard was a shed who had the wolf gene instead of the cat gene that Richard thought he had when he first saw the little boy.
