Ch. 3 - Round Table Conference

Flashback 2 months earlier.

In a large room full of gold-plated interiors and walls familiar with the paintings of the Kings of the past and the steel shale of the knights stood gallantly and firmly on the edges of the room.

In the middle of the room were 12 men sitting together in a giant round table. All of the men look elderly even though there are some who still look young. All of them wore golden crowns on their heads. Next to them stood a Great Knight who was ready to die for them.

They were all the Kings of the various great kingdoms that ruled the land of Neverland. The Kings are now gathered because the time of the sacred chivalric summoning will be carried out tomorrow.

Since the invasion by the Demon clans. The previous kings held a truce from the inter-royal wars that had occurred over 1000 years ago. The presence of a powerful enemy that threatens their existence makes the Kings finally unite and form an alliance that is then called a round table conference agreed by 12 major kingdoms representing every race and nation that is the Neverland landmass.

The alliance that intertwined from then on, managed to withstand the onslaught of overwhelming power from the Demon clan despite the alliance's heavy losses. At least they managed to hold the Demon clan in control of the entire land of Neverland, even nearly repelling their troops.

The alliance army had been destroyed since the supreme general and the Demon clan's murderous elite troops had taken part in the war. Their strength was beyond reason and managed to make the alliance army ravage-poranda.

After a major defeat, the alliance army was exhausted to the frustration that in the ensuing wars they continued to lose. In the midst of despair, a light appeared that descended from the sky to the land of Neverland. The light looked like a human, more like a beautiful woman with thick white wings on her back. Her name was Marlin, a goddess who defied the orders of the rules of the heavens that forbade the clan of gods to interfere in what had happened at this time.

Marlin brought a trace of hope to all the beings who were currently miserable due to the cruelty of the Demon clan. Marlin casts a spell on the chosen Witch to summon 10 holy knights to defeat the Demon clan that is currently terrorizing the entire land of Neverland.

At the expense of his soul and body, Marlin incarnated into a spirit that would grant and choose witches who deserved the spell. The chosen witches are called holy witches by everyone. His task was to summon 10 knights with powers that could destroy and defeat the Demon clan.

Since the descent of Marlin to the land of Neverland, his spirit continues to incarnate from generation to generation choosing holy witches to summon selected knights. So is the current unfolding in the Celestial Kingdom, one of the great empires that formed a round table alliance.

The Celestial Kingdom was chosen to host the conference at this time to discuss the summoning of the holy knights. Although the alliance is still visible tension from the Kings who want to show their respective strengths. Although the war between them had ended due to the attacks of the Devils but it seemed like there was still a grudge that continued to be told to them by the generations before them.

"Oi.. King Bordeux, stop looking at me like that."

King Tolkien of the kingdom of Naugrim, where the race inhabiting the kingdom is a race of dwarves or dwarves. Their physique is a little different from humans in general. A little remark from King Reynhard was enough to make King Tolkien and King Bordeux stay in their place.

"What King Reynhard said is true. Now it's... Let's start talking about tomorrow." The king of the Celestial Kingdom took on the role.

Today the round table conference will discuss several things including where the summoning ceremony will be performed as well as where the holy knights will practice, stay and who will prepare their needs.

In serious talks, they get into a dispute because of disagreements. It is normal to have discussions like this. Of course the Kings wanted the holy knights to be in their kingdom and be able to serve them well. Especially the Nusantara Kingdom is very important so that holy knights are in their kingdom. That was because half of the territory of the Nusantara kingdom had been controlled by the Demon clan.

The Nusantara Kingdom is located in the easternmost region of the Neverland mainland. The kingdom was ruled by a king named Jolang Ingalaga. There were 2 races that inhabited the kingdom, first the Human Race and second the Fish-Man Race. The Nusantara Kingdom is the largest maritime kingdom in the land of Neverland because it consists of various islands from the largest to the smallest. In addition to the island on the mainland, there is also an island under the sea where the Fish-Man Race lives.

"I do know your anxiety, King Jolang, but you must remember. Holy knights did not directly possess the great power to defeat the Demon clan when they were summoned to this world. Holy knights need to be trained for their magic power to rise." again King Reynhard showed how wise he was.

"That's right." King Shemai said.

It has been 5 hours since the conference. It seems like the conference has reached some agreement. First deal, the sacred knight summoning ceremony will take place in the Celestial kingdom tomorrow. Second, ich, the training camp of the holy knights will be held in the kingdom of Inggram considering that one of the four Labyrinths is in the territory of the kingdom of Inggram and the level that the royal knights of Inggram have taken is to explore the highest Labyrinth from the level that the other knights had reached during exploring the Labyrinth. Third, the knight who will train the holy knight is the chosen knight of all kingdoms. The four saint knights will lead a war expedition defeating the Demon clan whose priority is the Land severely affected by the attack from the Demon clan.

It was 4 deals created from the results of the squabbles and arguments of the twelve Kings who are currently gathered in one giant round table.

In the middle of the conference, suddenly the gate to the north of the room opened along with a waiter who entered to give news. "The holy witch has arrived."

A young woman entered the room to meet the Kings. Not yet at the table, the Kings stood up and saluted the young lady. Of course the Kings saluted because the woman could be called as the incarnation of Goddess Marlin.

"How did William go?"

"Good.." King William walked over and bowed and kissed the woman's hand.

"We have taken the deal, tomorrow the ceremony will be held in this kingdom" King William said.

"alright.. Oana."

Another woman entered the room as soon as she heard the screams of the holy witch calling her name. "Yes Lady Barthe."

"Prepare the necessities for tomorrow's ceremony in the summoning hall room."

"Ready Mistress, carry it out."

The woman came out immediately after an order from Barthe la Angele, the name of an 80-year-old holy witch. Although his age is old but his physique shows no signs of aging at all.
