Ch. 51 - Slavery

"Ne.. Ne.. Where are the three of them?" Rebecca complained because she had been waiting in front of the gate ever since.

"Please Rebecca, they'll be here soon." Diana said.

"Sad.. That lazy bastard.. Just bother."

"Arehh. You forgot how embarrassed we were all because of you last night.. That's much more troublesome!" Diana told Rinto.

Overnight.. Due to heavy drunk Rinto even wrongly entered the inn room. He did not enter his room but instead he went into the room of the innkeeper's daughter where they spent the night.

"Do I need to tell this to Princess Elizabeth?" Diana seduces Rinto.

Rinto looked panicked and could only remain silent as Diana continued to tease him.

Right now they're all waiting for Arthur, Leo and Smits. They are ready to leave, but because of the Smits who never showed up, Arthur and Leo re-enter the city and look for Smits.

Right in front of the gate.. Gildarts and Ighalo engaged in a conversation.

"View.. Uncle and master Ighalo. They both laughed." Said Rebecca.

"What are they laughing about?" Ivy was curious.

"Maybe they're talking about lolycon." Diana cut off the conversation with her negative guesses.

Meanwhile.. One of the knights. Seemed to be sitting calm under a tree not far from where Ivy et al are gathering.

"Ne.. Ne.. Lookit.. He did it again!" Rebecca saw the knight.

"Who is his name!? Ivy tried to guess.

"Hm.. If it's not wrong Arthur used to call him Pege." Rebecca answered Ivy's question.

The holy knight was named Pege..

Although he was one part of the holy knight but he never really mingled with all of them. He prefers to be alone and only talks to Arthur if needed.

Long wait finally the three of them appeared and approached the group.

"Basar malass, where have you been?" Rinto swears towards Smits.

Smits who usually responds coldly, this time he silences a thousand languages with a serious look.

"Tch.. What's wrong with her." Rinto was still complaining.

Arthur approached Ighalo and Gildarts who were engaged in conversation, he would leave because at this time they were all complete and ready to continue the journey.

Arthur and Gildarts approached.

"Smits?? Oh.. He almost killed the townspeople." He answered while laughing lightly.

"Stupid you.. Why laugh. That's a big deal. Diana patted Arthur hard on the shoulder.

"Eh.. Smite.. Is true?" Gildarts was curious.

Leo then told them all about what was happening in the city. Telling all the vile things that Smits saw before his eyes. A slave of the shed race was tortured to the point of being wounded, dragged and shackled by chains around his neck.

What they see is a system that has long been rooted in this world, the system is called slavery.

They were all silent hearing the heartbreaking incident. A story that never happened in the world they were in before.

"Stupid huh? Such a thing is a natural thing in this world. Why should I be angry?" Rinto commented on the incident.

"Isa.. Uwekkk." Rebecca taunted Rinto.

"Rinto.. At least show your empathy." Ivy.

In the middle of the conversation, Arthur approached Smits.

"Patty.. And all of you.. Listen to.." They all looked towards Arthur.

"We are strangers in this world. We can't do anything.. We do not know the value of truth in this world. Right wrong in this world is different from our world.. I don't know what your world is but in the world I came from, there's no slavery." Said Arthur.

They all read Arthur's words.

"Not in my world either." Ivy said.

"Therefore, we cannot judge slavery as right or wrong.. Because in this world, slavery is the right thing so we can't do anything about it.. So I beg you.. If you witness such a heartbreaking thing, please.. Hold your anger.. If you can't, take it out on me. "Clearly Arthur while holding Smits' shoulder.

"Arthur.." Ivy looked at Arthur.

All of a sudden.. A cold hard punch pointed right at Arthur's right cheek. The blow made him fall backwards.

"Aadduh..." Arthur just smiled.

Diana drew closer to Arthur and began to heal the wound on her cheek.

"Dadeuh.. You said it yourself.. If I can't hold back my anger, then you're willing to be a place of impingement." The angry smits is back to being him again.

"Haha.. Doesn't matter. Oh yeah, by the way your punch hurts too. Duhh duhh." Arthur held her cheek.

"As expected of you!" Leo pointed his hand at Arthur.

The atmosphere that had been back again melted due to the blow that led to Arthur and Smits' face also returned to acting as usual.

"I'm sorry.. Because it almost makes trouble but.." Smits

"I really can't stand to see a woman in such torment.. Whether it's a slave or not. Women don't deserve to be hurt, women are in this world to be protected and loved not to be oppressed." Firm Smits.

Ivy was amazed by the words Smits, he saw Smits with sparkling eyes.

"Then.. Time to go!!" Arthur was excited.

Finally they resumed their journey towards the capital of the Celestial kingdom by riding horses and chariots.

On the way, when they were so far from the city of Gouda..

"Wait a minute.. There seems to be less!" Arthur felt strange as he watched his comrades.

"Arthur, what's wrong?" Gildarts from the horse-drawn carriage turned to look towards Arthur who was riding on a horse.

Something bothered Arthur's mind, but he was confused about what.. A moment later he began to glance back at his comrades.

"Leo's.." Arthur yells.

"Ha.. What's up?"

"Gildarts" Arthur shouted again.

Gildarts who was currently controlling the horse carriage also replied.

Arthur names his comrades one by one. They are followed one by one.. Up to one name..

"Pege!!"

"Pege!!"

There's no answer.

Arthur began to look back at his comrades and instantly his face began to panace.

"YES!!!!" Shouted Arthur loudly.

A moment later he realized that right now, Pege one of the holy knights was not with them.

Meanwhile in a shady tree, not far from the front gate of the city of Gouda. Pege closed his eyes, as if he were meditating..

Then later..

"Haacchihh.." Pege opened his eyes because he sneezed so hard.

"Eeeeeeeeeee.." Pege is confused because he doesn't see anyone right now.

Pege, left behind from the entourage of holy knights.
