Ch. 14 - Hungry Taste

The remnants of the fire that burned the room were still burning, while Richard was lying on the ground due to the wounds he suffered. The fire that burned the entire room was enough to make the attacking rabbit monsters die instantly.

Richard opened his eyes and looked around. He found the monsters were lying with the fire still burning. "It looks like my food is ready." He tried to get up.

Richard stood staggering, the wound suffered by the rabbit monster was quite severe from his legs to his arms bleeding. Richard picked up the dead rabbit monster, he saw the carcass.

Unusual because the blood of the carcass is green, as well as the flesh. Richard gulped as if hesitating to eat the carcass but.. His hunger pangs made him ignore his self-doubts.

Once again he noticed the texture of the meat carcass.. Then greedily began to eat and bully the meat that was ripe because of his fire.

Richard satisfied his hunger, he kept biting the carcass until all he had left was his bones. So hungry, the five monster carcasses were crushed to the end.

Although injured, the hunger that made him very unaware of his current state. The bleeding in his arms, stomach and legs has not stopped but he still eats the carcass to the end.

Sometimes he looks like he wants to vomit so bad the meat. Even his throat had choked a few times because his body was like rejecting the monster meat but he still finished off the rabbit monster carcass.

"It's the most unpleasant food that's ever gone into my stomach." Mumbled.

After finishing the carcass, he began to get up and walk slowly. His eyes twitched, Richard braced himself and continued to walk even though his legs were still bleeding.

Right now he wanted to return to the starting room when he woke up. His mind was only fixed on a puddle of water that might be able to heal the wounds he was suffering right now.

Right in the room suddenly his stomach hurt. He fell down because of the pain, his eyeballs turned white. Foaming mouth... He trembled and fell to the ground.

He held his neck that felt like he was suffocated by something. "Dam.. Aargggs. Aahhhrrrggg." He just kept on drowning in pain.

He began to wriggle in pain, he screamed and wriggled on the ground enduring the pain that had suddenly come. Not from bite wounds and monster claws but rather because of the food he consumed.

He strengthened his resolve. "I can't die."

The pain that came back crashing, his mouth re-emitting foam even blood. "Monstrable meat." His mind is racking in pain.

Richard suspected that the meat of the monsters contained a poison that was harmful to humans, which was why humans did not sell monster meat in the available market.

"Erkg... Ak.. Ak.. Aarrgg." Richard tried to reach out toward the puddles of life.

"Ohkk uhkk.. Uakkp.."

His sight began to blacken.. His body stopped writhing in pain. The blood that was flowing also had not come out, maybe the blood in his body had been used up. Right now Richard was completely on the verge of death.

"Why Ignis?.. Just like that." A voice appeared suddenly on Richard's head that had currently been at the very end of his life.

But Richard already had no power to respond to that voice. Although there was a little more he could reach the puddle of water but Richard could not feel his whole body.

His eyes closed, Richard would eventually die..

At the last moment, Richard recalled his past. In the world before he came to Neverland.

Richard recalled his life full of misery. Living alone without family recognition, his younger brother was the only person who cared about Richard but died of an illness.

Living without direction and purpose until he finally decided to commit suicide. When the memory of suicide returned to him.. At this time Richard thought that dying was the right thing for him.

"Igniss.. Is it just like that?" The voice that Richard heard came back.

The voice continues to echo.. Richard who was about to die suddenly opened his eyes. "Don't joke.." Speech trembling.

Magic rings of fire were seen shining on both soles of Richard's feet. The dying Richard put out all his remaining strength on both of his feet.

A visible flame began to burn both soles of Richard's feet.." Arrhhhfggg"

Quickly the fire focused on the soles of the feet gave Richard's body a boost to move forward. Although quite short but the boost of fire is like the boost of fire on a rocket engine that drives Richard to this day Richard can be in a pool of water life.

Power's up.. But Richard managed to get to the middle of the puddle. And right above it was a blue eye crystal that dripped water right into his face.

Richard opened his mouth.. The drops of water from the blue eye crystal entered his mouth. Richard swallowed the water and instantly lost consciousness.

Richard fainted..
