The Smile of God for Marissa

The Smile of God for Marissa
Campus Flower

God, Could it be that You have grown tired of seeing the behavior of our citizens ? Could this be Your test to strengthen our faith or is it the painful torment that is sweeping our territory ? Thousands of questions scrambled out. It feels like just yesterday my Indonesia experienced a very hitting event. It feels like just yesterday, Indonesia is wriggling up from the slump. It was only a while ago around the region that we rose up, built all that collapsed, set up houses and eagerly colored life to be better. It seems they have not long escaped from a terrible disaster that traumatized them. Disaster landslide which although not as big as now but able to make a tremble when remembering it.

Purworejo is a landslide subscription. Natural conditions surrounded by hills with loose soil structures make it easy for the soil to move when the rain flushes. I just arrived at the soup kitchen in wet, dirty clothes. I cleaned myself in the well behind the village hall. I tried to dry my clothes, because I didn't have time to bring a change of clothes.

“Mbak Risa !” The call of Mr. Syamsul, the village chief, disperse my daydream.

“ I. . Yes, Sir.”

“ Today the search will be stopped soon because the dhuhur adzan has reverberated. Please Ma'am Risa help prepare lunch, yes.”

“Iya, Sir. Insha Allah.” I answered while walking towards the kitchen. Not until the kitchen, I found a mother who was sitting contemplating on the terrace of the village hall. His body looked tired, shabby and his grim face had no time to hide.

“ Assalamualaikum, Mom. How is Bu Siti doing today ?” my broom while shaking Ms. Siti's hand. Villagers who once helped a regiment cook in our soup kitchen.

“ Wa alaikum greetings, Ms Risa. Thank you for coming, Ma'am. ” Cuddle her body tightly. I want to take half of his suffering. Shaking his body felt harder and harder and occasionally he wiped his tears with the tip of his sleeve. We shed tears for each other. I don't mind the eyes that look at us.

“Bu Stoic Siti yes! Although it is hard to accept this ordeal. But there is nothing bad that God has given to His creatures. We don't know the wisdom behind this disaster, ma'am. Hopefully this is a test that will improve our quality in front of Him. “I know many eyes watching us. There was no sound from the person in my arms, but I knew he nodded his head in agreement. I still hear Aamiin's voice, though it's soft, and it makes me relieved. I know that he is sincere. Lady Siti let go of my embrace slowly. He looked at my face with tears flowing down his cheeks that had begun to wrinkle.

“ Mbak Risa, good boy. Thank you for coming. “ Bu Siti hugs me once again. No sound came out of his lips. The heavy burden that he seemed to be sharing with me was powerless when a boy came to us, and said “Lik Siti, Danang has been found, Lik. “

Danang is the niece of Bu Siti who was buried in land along with her family. Ms. Siti let go of my embrace and ran towards the group of volunteers who came carrying a body bag towards us. He immediately hit the body that had been put in a body bag, tried to hug it and some people tried to release it. I followed the grieving middle-aged woman and embraced her who was now resting on the ground.

“Astahgfirullahal adhiim” Istighfar whispered in Bu Siti's ear slowly. My lips quivered because honestly this situation I had never experienced. “ Ma'am, declares Danang, that he may have a free way before God. “ Bu Siti just nodded, after several times I persuaded her to recite Istighfar.

“ Hu . .hu . . .hu, my nephew Ma'am. She .. .. along with my sister and my brother-in-law . .” Again, Lady cried. He pointed out the bodies that had passed from before us.

“Iya Bu, now Danang has been taken by the Most Possessing Soul, we pray that he gets a good place at His side.”

“Danang . ..hu ..hu .. .hu “ once again Bu Siti hysterical.

The niece of Bu Siti always greeted me when they saw me coming to their house asking for her help. Today, he has been stiffened and has been taken to the village hall to be bathed, salted and finally handed over to the family for immediate burial. Finally I let go of Bu Siti who had been invited by her husband who invited her to talk about her family's funeral.

I told myself to greet all the residents one by one before I finally set foot into the soup kitchen. I brought the prepared plate to the dining table in the middle of the village hall hall. After the plate I brought from the kitchen I put on the long table, I was stunned for a moment. I looked into the room nine by seven meters and finally found a girl who was silent in the corner. My sister's girl, my college flower girl.

“Syamsya. “ muttered.

He looks very dirty. Slowly I walked, approaching her who seemed to be not excited by being invited by her husband who invited her to talk about the funeral of her family.

He looks very dirty. I slowly walked over, approaching him who seemed to be not passionate about his life.

“ He lost his parents and brother, Ma'am. They had just returned home from a tour outside the area. Just got out of the car and had to be shocked by the astonishing scene. There was almost no intention of saving themselves. Seeing us running, they were astonished, although finally, they joined our group, but unfortunately, their footsteps, still lost quickly with the moving land.” A father told me many things about Shamsya. “Both of his parents along with one brother buried in front of his house.” Connect Bu Laminah.

“ How can he survive alone, Ma'am ?” santi asked who suddenly appeared next to me.

“ Nobody knows, we are all busy with each other. After the lights went out, I tried to find a candle. Just two steps away, I heard a loud noise like a building collapsing in an earthquake. I ran to my children's room screaming for the children's father. We gathered in the living room waiting for fate to come to us. There is nothing we do but surrender to the Gusti of Allah. The screams outside the house were ignored. We are determined to stay together at home. After the vibration stopped, my husband tried to get up and open the door. With a small candle, we tried to see the situation. My yard is already full of mounds of dirt. I saw all the neighbors running down the alley, looking for relatives and no one paying attention to anyone else, all looking for safety themselves. His father and mother and one brother were buried in earth materials. He was always thrashing, wailing and calling, wanting to catch up with them from the very beginning. He may be tired, so he is silent now. We heard him noisy all night he was crying and only a few hours later he was silent. Silent for a moment to gather energy, when it has been collected he screamed again and thrashed.” That's the explanation of Ms. Laminah.

“ So , . . .she herself now, Mom ?”my heart saw it. Beautiful girl with tattered condition and a piece of kara.

“ Yes, Ma'am. We're the only people living around him, who he now has. She, the beautiful girl who is arrogant is amazing, now a kara, just as poor as us.” Mr. Darmo hooked up and took a breath for a moment, before he finally spoke. “ We live with him, in the same neighborhood, but he never said hello let alone care about us. We are poor people, who happen to be lucky to have rich neighbors like their families. His family has always benefited us a lot, but he has absolutely no heart.”

“ Mister Darmo's Point ?”

“ He all by himself, rude and arrogant. But his parents and brother were amazingly good. Now he is alone, without brothers, without treasures, just like us.”Once again Mr. Darmo looked at the girl in the corner of the room with emotion.

“ Father is still mad at him ?”my firmness.

“ If you remember the kindness of his family, it feels unbearable, Ma'am. Not until this heart is angry, but if you remember his character, this heart is also not willing to be kind to him. May God forgive his sins.”

“ Sorry, sir, I'll be there. ”

“ Please only. Hopefully with Mbak he becomes good.”

“Mbak Syamsya. Assalamualaikum” I shook his weak hands. But he was silent. His view was meaningless. In my heart I can only pray that he will be given strength.

“Mbak Shamsya? “ once again I call his name. He's still quiet. Most surprisingly, he did not pay any attention to my arrival. Empty look. The dry mud and ragged clothes meant that his struggle for life was extraordinary. I can't imagine how a girl like her who's a rich kid, and used to living with luxury, splendor and all things, should set foot in the mud, running and ah I don't know what else, the thing he just experienced, was a very bad new experience.

“Mbak Shamsya! “ He's still mute.Yes God. He's so arrogant, who doesn't want to turn his head. Ah, but I understand. He might not have been able to forget the events he had just experienced, seeing how ferocious the avalanche ground was hoarding his father, mother and brother in plain sight. I might have to be a little heartened, accepting the fact that Shamsya, my now very dirty college flower, ignored me. Just like I used to, when the earthquake hit my territory, when I had to face the reality of my house flat with the ground. I feel like everything has been destroyed. My heart was devastated, but it was clearly different from the events that Syamsya experienced. My parents are all safe. I can live with them to this day. Is he ? She's a kara. Shamsya, what a pity your fate is. Losing the people you love, without you being able to do anything to help.

“Mbak Shamsya !!! “I tried to greet him once again, even though I knew the answer I would receive from him was nil. For a moment I was glued. Confused at the thought of something I would do to just lighten the burden of refugees in this village ?I tried to get up, stand up and take my foot into the courtyard of the village hall. Approaching mothers who are accompanying their children to play. Although still with the rest of her cries, they smilingly accepted my arrival. I approached a little boy on a mother's lap.

“ This is daughter, Mother ?” I asked while rubbing his head. The little girl in her mother's lap kept her head away from me.

“ Yes, Ma'am. Name's Nina. He was the most frightened of all the children. As the incident unfolded, he was awake. Disaster came when he felt frightened because of the dark. Just now he was awake and crying, suddenly the sound of explosions came all around us.”

“ Assalamualaikum, darling. Whose name is ?”His little eyes looked at me. I smile. I stretched out my hand to ask him to shake hands.

“ O, yes, the name of Sister Marisa, Sister Risa, whose name is ?” I said the sentence as softly as possible, but still, he did not want to answer my question. His mother shed tears.

“ Her name is Nina, Ma'am. He might still be afraid of accepting the reality last night. Sorry yes, Mbak.”I smiled and nodded. I looked at the clear eyes that now looked dim.

Stay tight, I'll let him talk. Although initially silent, but Alhamdulillah, finally he wanted to also open his voice.

“ God is evil .”I was surprised to hear his words. But I believe there is a bright spot that I can impliedly use to give valuable learning that the ground that stood firm formed a wall overgrown with trees, and now moved to hoard the village in His power.

“ Why are you evil ? ”

“ He already made us have to be driven from home due to landslide.” He is smart, only needs a few tricks to be able to make him know that there is wisdom behind landslides in his village.

“ But there is one that we should be grateful for, even though God has made a landslide, but Nina still survived. The house is lost, destroyed, but thankfully the Nina family is still alive. Dad, Mom and Nina are still alive, aren't you ? You survived. It's miracle. If not for His love for us, how could we be here today. He still gives us a chance to live to keep the Earth we love.”

“ How to keep Earth?” Nina looked up in shock. He looked at me with glaring eyes. “You are God's friend, right ? That's why you keep defending him ? “ I'm stunned at my hearing. The smart little girl in front of me turned her gaze outward. I followed all his moves perfectly. Finally I said calmly a sentence that could make him silently contemplate and finally be grateful for God's priceless gift for him.

“ We must keep the earth from the hands of ignorant who will damage it by preserving its nature, not deifying it. God loves every creature. By moving the land that had been on the hill to our homes, God is telling us that we must always be vigilant in any circumstances that could happen. Not overwhelmed with pleasure. When the last third of the night has greeted, it is time we rise to take the water of ablution and worship Him, not to sleep or stay active with his work and postpone worshiping Him. When the last third of the night comes, all the angels of God descend and pray for every servant who is establishing the throne. ”

Nina quiet. He seemed to be pondering my words.

“ So, we have to take care of nature, sister ? Continue how our village and home ?” continued. Slowly he came down from his mother's lap and sat down beside me.

“ Everything can still be fixed. We are being tested, with broken homes, with ruined villages, do we still love God ? It can all be broken but that does not mean that our hearts must be broken. The destruction of the house can still be repaired, but the heart is broken because kufr will not be able to return. We must rise. To build all that is destroyed. Nina was still lucky because only the house was destroyed. Nina's mother and father are still alive, right ? ” Nina nodded slowly. “ Try Nina look inside, there is Sister Syamsya who not only lost her home, but lost her father, mother and brother.” My welcome.

“ Because we are sure, God loves us ?.” The smart little girl smiled at me.

“ Anyway, we have to be vigilant. That all things can happen in His power. The Earth will bow to the Creator. Whatever His orders. We go for a walk!”

Reset talk. I'm sure a kid as small as him hasn't been able to argue for too long.

She shook her head.

“ We play ?”Again he nodded.

“ Why ?”

“ Lazy.” His tiny hand took out a small piece of wood and he used it to scrape the wet ground in front of him.

“ You know not, lazy is the enemy of the Japanese you know. They are very abstinent to be lazy so even though the country is small and not as fertile as Indonesia, they can prosper.”

“ Not now. “ His words are down.

“ Kak Risa tell you want ?”

“ Sister, Nina has not wanted to hear anything, has not wanted to go for a walk and has not been willing to do anything. Tomorrow yes, not now.”I smiled and nodded.

“ OK, If my sweet sister is ready, tell Brother,” I left Nina and walked over to some children who were playing sand in the yard. He is much better than Nina.
