The Secret With Bad Boy

The Secret With Bad Boy
Obviousness

“Family mr Lukman?” a voice of calling sounded from the direction of the observation room door. Next to the ER room.

“Iya, I.” Kinanti immediately stood up and put her food away.

“Dek, are there any other adults?” the nurse looked at Kinanti worriedly. It seemed like this girl had started to despair and waver, not too upright standing on her own feet.

“We only have each other, Bu.” Kinanti's reply sounded stifling.

The nurse nodded empathically, regretting asking. “Doctor wants to give an explanation, log in.” The nurse grabbed onto Kinanti's bent back, rubbed her slowly and invited her in.

“Can with my friend also?” Kinanti looked at Kala. The girl was very confident that Kala would strengthen her.

“Bby,”

Kala immediately put the drinking water and approached Kinanti. They held hands in the doctor's office, strengthening each other.

“Goodnight, please sit.” Greet the doctor who greeted Kinanti kindly. Nonetheless, it was unable to dispel the gripping atmosphere that enveloped Kinanti's heart.

Kinanti sat opposite the doctor, next to him was Kala who he did not let go of his hand. The nurse gave the doctor a medical record book and the doctor read it for a while. His real scratching forehead was not itchy. Just confused to give an explanation to a girl as young as this and either has to start from where.

“Pak Lukman just stay with you guys?” ask the doctor.

“Iya doc, my daughter. My father is a single parent.” Kinanti answered with a heavy voice.

The doctor understood. The doctor turned on the x-ray reader next to him. The cross section of Lukman's esophagus is immediately visible even though there are only black, white and gray.

“I will explain the current condition of Mr. Lukman. The patient is choking because there is a pile of time here which causes him to have difficulty swallowing his food. The patient also has trouble breathing because his throat is swollen."

"We've given the drugs at the dose, as well as enough oxygen through the nose, but it doesn't seem to be very effective. The patient's oxygen saturation continues to decrease and the patient is getting restless and short of breath.” The doctor paused his sentence for a while and looked at Kala and Kinanti alternately. The two pairs of innocent eyes were trying to understand the doctor's explanation according to their abilities.

They may be confused, but more than that, they are scared and anxious.

“We plan to intubate the installation of endotracheal hose through his mouth and drain oxygen through the device. However, the condition of the patient is still half-conscious and he always revolted. Possibly, we have to knock down or make the patient unconscious so that the installation of tools and oxygen delivery can run well.” The doctor's gaze grew more and more attached to the pair of eyes that were currently shedding tears. Kinanti turned her face away and rubbed her tears violently. He had read what intubation was like and his lay understanding perceived it as horrible and painful.

“Then?” ask her with a trembling voice. It feels like he wants to close his ears or for a while God makes him deaf so as not to hear the explanation that makes him feel tight as Lukman feels today.

“We need family approval for this action, because the patient will go into unconscious condition and depend his life on the installed tool.”

The deg!

“Bera-pa la-ma?” Kinanti's voice stammered. His strength was not that great to withstand the turmoil of fear and horror that filled his chest cavity.

“We can not specify yet. We had to wait until the swelling in the throat shaft and the esophagus was reduced. It can be a day, two days or several days, depending on the patient's condition and his response to medications.” The doctor's explanation is heartbreaking for a child who is not ready to hear the father fall in the worst condition like this.

Kinanti bowed lethargic, she sobbed, but again she tried to toughen up.

“Actually, her throat is swollen because of what, doc? Did my dad eat wrong? I don't think my dad has any allergies.” Kinanti still does not fully understand the reason Lukman is in this condition. Because this morning his condition was fine and did not complain about anything. Lukman even teased him before Kinanti left for school and told him not to come home late because the father wanted to talk to her a lot.

“Because the patient postponed his therapy.” The doctor's answer sounded hanging for Kinanti.

“Therapy?” Kinanti scrunched her forehead while looking at the doctor inexplicably.

“Yes. How many times have patients had chemotherapy?” The doctor asked back.

“Chemotherapy?” Kinanti was increasingly clueless, as well as the doctor who seemed clueless with Kinanti's shock. Isn't this girl his daughter? Maybe that's the thought of the doctor

“Fourteen times, yesterday he should have chemo for the fifteenth time, but he refused to go.” Kala answered. It seemed like it was time for him to be honest because there was nothing else he could hide. The doctor needs this information.

Hearing that reply, Kinanti released her hand from Kala. His hand is slumped. He still could not believe what he heard from his friend's mouth. How could Kala know Lukman's condition better than him? How can Kala and Lukman hide the secret behind Kinanti? What are these two people keeping from him?

Kinanti turned her head in an inexhaustible manner. He felt he was really being lied to. How could I hide something important from him? What does Kala know and he doesn't know? Why and why, only that question word resonated in his head.

“That condition that aggravates the patient. Patients should be treated on schedule." The doctor regrets that.

When he fell silent, he knew that Kinanti was looking at him questioningly and disappointed. He did not dare to look, but only pay attention to the words of the doctor who paused long enough because he tried to string better sentences for a pair of teenagers.

"After the oxygen is fulfilled and stable, we suggest to perform a tracheostomy procedure that is done by perforating the neck and installing a special tool directly to the throat stem so that the patient does not lag on the device. We ...” The next line of sentences did not look correctly. All the doctor's sentences buzzed and then yawned in his ear. All he knew was that he had been lied to by Lukman and Kala. That was really sad for him.

“Please sign this letter if the adek agrees or this letter if the adek disagrees.” As he pushed Kinanti to a dark intersection, the Doctor handed him two different letters which he placed side by side.

Kinanti's wet eyes read the title sentence above the affidavit. The thickly printed Tulian capital was faintly shaded. It is seen that one letter of approval and another letter of refusal of action. Without a second thought, Kinanti's trembling hand immediately took out a ballpoint and affixed the signature on the approval letter of the action. He didn't want to think of anything else but seeing his father healed.

After putting the signature in the letter of approval, Kinanti moved first. He turned around leaving Kala and the doctor. His steps look shady and had tripped. Kala soon catches up with him and tries to hold onto Kinanti's hand, but the girl flicks him off. He can walk on his own without Kala's help. He is strong and does not need Kala anymore.
