“Dad!” Kinanti's voice sounded hoarse.
Like being slapped by a shock, Kinanti's body felt weak and all her joints were broken to see Lukman lying helplessly on the floor in an unconscious condition. The girl immediately approached Lukman, no matter how many shards of glass were scattered on the floor and he removed them with his feet still wearing shoes.
“Dad, Dad!” Kinanti shook Lukman's body several times, but Lukman did not flinch.
“Dad, replied Kinan Father!” Kinanti began to panic, clear feathers gathered at the corner of her reddened eyes. His face turned pale. He was still very shocked and did not know what to do. He could only endure the cries on his chest that did not break because his shock was much greater. He sat down beside Lukman and checked the middle-aged man's condition.
“Kinan, I will call the ambulance, you wait a minute,” said Kala who was no less surprised. He took the initiative to contact the hospital, but it was busy like this, it was very difficult to connect. Seeing Lukman's condition like this, not only Kinanti who was tight-fisted but also Kala.
Kinanti neither confirmed nor denied Kala's words. He would rather check on Lukman as much as he can. With his trembling hand, he touched the back of his hand to Lukman's nose to check for Lukman's breath, apparently no breathing was blowing. Dada Kinanti also felt a tightness that he could not explain. Maybe because he was so panicked to find Lukman not breathing.
“No, I can't believe it! Daddy's! Dad!” again Kinanti shook Lukman's body, but still Lukman did not flinch.
Quickly Kinanti turned to check Lukman's heart, forcibly removed his shirt and stuck his ear to Lukman's chest to listen to Lukman's heartbeat.
The deg!
It turned out that Lukman's heart had stopped beating as well.
“Job Daddy!” Kinanti is panicking. He cried with a hiccup with trembling hands confused as to which part of Lukman's body to hold. The ones who saw it were no less panicked.
"Suckers! Why is it so hard to connect!" the teenage snort is already in the fog. He brushed his hair violently, anxiously waiting for just once this call was connected to any hospital.
The one who couldn't wait any longer. Without thinking for a long time he immediately did what he learned some time ago, namely cardiac resuscitation.
He piled two hands over Lukman's chest while remembering what order he should do. He pressed Lukman's chest with all his might, so that his heart was compressed and beat again. Not only that, he also gave artificial breath to the father even though he sobbed almost in despair.
“Dad, survive Dad! Kinan only has a father. Don't stay in Kinan.” Kinanti muttered softly. In the midst of his panic, Kinanti continued to repeat what he had done before. His body was already sweating because in practice it turns out to do resuscitation is not as easy as written in the book.
Kala who was on the phone was stunned to see Kinanti who was struggling alone calling her father to come back. “Please get here.” That's all Kala said when the call was connected to the hospital. The teenager threw away his phone and chose to help Kinanti. He let Kinanti pump Lukman's heart and Kala gave an artificial breath.
“Please Father, please.” Kinanti's tears had already fallen and dripped on Lukman's body. She was tired of resuscitation, but she never gave up.
“Uhuk!” until finally Lukman coughed and vomited water and medicine from his mouth.
“Breathing father!” kinanti exclaimed a little relieved because lukman was still responding.
“We take it straight to the hospital!” Kala got up quickly. He took the keys to Lukman's car and squatted down to carry Lukman on his back.
“Help dad up to my back, Nan.” Kala spoke quickly.
Kinanti said, she painstakingly lifted the body of the lukman and raised it to the back of Kala.
“Dad's Handle!” said Kinanti who was still overwhelmed with panic. He ran first to the car and opened the door for Lukman and Kala.
Kala ran out of the house with Lukman on his back, for he moved into the car. Kinanti masik first and sit inside. He made his feet as Lukman's head pad. After Lukman entered, Kala immediately sat behind the wheel and drove the old car Lukman at high speed.
“Dad, survive Dad. We're going to the hospital. Dad will get help.” Kinanti patted Lukman's face to keep the man conscious.
Lukman's breathing gasped, like it was very tight. "What do I do, Kal?" Kinanti again sobbed while holding the hand of Lukman who was so weak and cold. Kala could not stop because he was afraid. While driving forward his car, Kala occasionally looked back to see Kinanti and Lukman. Kinanti was so worried about the condition of the lukman who was not yet fully aware. He could only cry, cry for the father he loved so much.
“Please faster Kal, Kasian Daddy,” said softly the girl with sobbing.
"Yes, Nan. I tried as fast as I could," said Kala, who grew increasingly panicked. Cold sweat splashed on Kala's forehead. It felt like he wanted to roll up the streets so that he could get to the nearest hospital. Again, Kala increased the speed of his car. He turned on the atret lights along the way as a sign that he was in a hurry. Several times he honked at anything that blocked his path.
“My father fainted, sis!” exclaim Kala from the window. His face was panicked.
“Follow me!” the exclamation of the motor that drove past Kala then opened the way for Kala. Kala nimbly followed the motorist until they arrived at the hospital.
“Come down!” the motorist opened the car door in a hurry. Several medics greeted him with blankars and moved Lukman's body onto the blankar.
“Thank you kash a lot kak, thank you,” said Kinanti and Kala on the impurity. Somehow it would have been if they had not met this good person.
“Sama-sama. Come in, may your father get well soon,” timpal the impurity while patting Kala's shoulder.
Kinanti and Kala just nodded. They immediately ran after Lukman who had been brought into the ER room.
“Who is his family?” ask a doctor.
“I'm his daughter.” Kinanti answered quickly. Look at her face that was still pale and panicked and wet with tears. At a time like this Kinanti realized that he could not just be quiet weak while condemning his father's condition. He must be a strong boy to accompany Lukman through this difficult time.
“How is the patient's condition when found?” ask the doctor while checking the condition of the heart and airy lungs Lukman with stetoscopenya, then pair the oxygen in the nose Lukman.
“I found my dad passed out on the floor. He seems to have finished taking medicine,” said Kinanti.
“What medicine?”
“This medicine, doc.” Kinanti handed over some of the medicine she put into her pocket. The doctor took the medicine and looked at it.
“Please check to pharmacy, what drug is this.” The doctor gave orders to one of the nurses.
“Good, doc.” The nurse immediately took Lukman's medication to check on him.
“Dok, is my dad okay?” Kinanti was still worried even though Lukman had been seen moving his head slowly.
“We're trying to help him. Who does resuscitation?” The doctor asked back.
“I doc. Did I make a mistake?” Kinanti held her own hand which was still trembling and wet with sweat.
“No, you did the right thing. The medicine seemed to clog your father's airway and with resuscitation you managed to get it out. We will check the patient's condition further, now wait outside,” said the doctor.
“Good, Doc. Please save my father.” Kinanti pleaded with him. He saw Lukman very agitated, but could not open his eyes.
“Sure, we will try our best,” stressed the Doctor.
“Thanks kaish, Doc.” Kinanti nodded in understanding. He took a moment to hold Lukman's hand before he finally left Lukman with the medics who were giving him help.
“Dad should last, for Kinan. Kinan desperately needs a father,” muttered the girl with shaky steps out of the ER room.
“Where's Dad?” there was Kala who greeted Kinanti with anxious expectation.
Kinanti does not necessarily chimed in. He sat on the bench waiting in front of the ER with his mind still dazed.
“Says dad chokes, when he wants to take medicine. Did you get sick until you had to take medicine?” only a small murmur came out of Kinanti's small mouth.
When not chiming in, he prefers to hug Kinanti tightly to calm the girl down. Kinanti closed her eyes for a while while leaning her head against Kala's chest. Really, he needed a place to lean.
