The River House
50. The Rich Man Room

Duukkks

Mak Ijah hit the sky of the room with a square box with an iron rod.

Braaaakkk

A ladder rolled down from above. Bayu smiled with excitement. He was increasingly convinced his guess was correct.

"I remind you Mr. Police, whatever is in there you must not interfere and ruin Mr. Zainul's plans!" Mak Ijah glared giving a warning.

"I told you, Mom. I'm just a spectator. Before the show ended I couldn't give an appraisal," Bayu grinned.

"If this is all over, what are you going to do with Mr Zainul?" Mak Ijah asked curiously. The old woman sat in the corner of her bed. Although his face looks flat, Mak Ijah feels pain in his thigh that was shot. A few droplets of sweat dripped down his forehead and temples.

"It all depends on the outcome. Did your Mr Zainul manage to execute the scenario neatly written by my Mr Zainul?" say Bayu relax.

"May I ride now, Mother?" Ask Bayu while checking the stairs made of alloy material.

"Nobody is in your way" replied Mak Ijah.

Bayu smiled briefly. Then begin to climb the stairs and enter the ceiling of the room which is now perforated in the form of a square box. Darkness immediately ambushed. Bayu raced.

Once accustomed, Bayu again moves his hands and feet to climb. Inside the ceiling of Mak Ijah's room is so clean, there is no dust or profit nests. Which means the place is the end of this often visited.

A beam of light shimmered over Bayu's head. There is a box-shaped window, wide enough, and fit for one adult to enter.

Bayu entered the window and there was a hallway inside. At the end of the hall there is a wooden door with beautiful carvings. Bayu stepped towards the door and opened it slowly.

Bayu arrived at a large and beautiful room. Decorations, knickknacks, painting paintings mounted on the wall are so charming and elegant. However, in the corner of the room rolled weak male figure lain*ng chest. His back was full of cuts and cigarettes.

Bayu recognized the figure. Denis the flamboyant selebgram. Bayu approached her, checking her pulse and breathing. And it turns out the famous boy playboy one school is gone.

Bayu notices Denis's body is covered in wounds. Also his neck appears to be a blue mark impaled on something. Bayu believes Denis drugged or injected fluid to paralyze the veins in his neck.

Bayu shifted his eyes. In another corner of the room, a female figure was seen falling down while tied to a wooden chair. That woman is Mella. His mouth was stuffed by a cloth glued with black duct tape.

Bayu slowly walked over to Mella. He watched his schoolmate. Mella seemed to want to say something. Bayu then opened the cloth that was gagged in Mella's mouth.

"Hah hah. . thank goodness Bay, you are the one who came. I was worried that the criminals who tortured Denis came here" Mella said. His eyes seemed sparkling, he felt saved with the presence of Bayu.

"What's going on?" Bayu asked while sitting cross-legged in front of Mella.

"I'll tell you, but let go of my bond first," asked Mella.

Bayu got up from his seat. With a little difficulty he lifted Mella and fixed the position of her chair. Now the woman was no longer lying on the floor, although her whole body was still tightly bound.

"Your blessing is very tight. It needs scissors or a knife to release it," Bayu sighed.

"Tell me, what happened? Who did all this?" Bayu asked back.

"I was walking down the hallway in front of the bathroom. Suddenly someone caught me from behind. I fainted, and when my eyes opened here I was. I don't know who did it, " replied Mella.

"Don't you see who's keeping you?" Bayu asked full of questions. Mella nodded slowly.

"Well, is this morning, noon or night anyway? And where are we? How did you find me?" This time Mella asked.

"One more Mella, in this house we only live three. Me, you and Mak Ijah," Bayu added.

"Huh? Wh why? Where are the others?" Mella is confused.

"Dead," replied Bayu briefly.

"You don't joke Bay!" Mella snaps.

"I'm not kidding Mella. For a moment, you just stay there, there's something I want to check," Bayu moved from his place.

Bayu walked towards a wooden cabinet with a carving similar to the door leaf that Bayu had passed. The cupboard is unlocked, so Bayu easily opens it.

The closet looks empty, there are only a few pieces of clothing in it. Clothes that seem new, have never been worn.

Bayu instead found something interesting in the corner of the closet. White clothes wrapped in bandages that are cut into pieces. There is also a bandage-like mask next to it. Bayu smiled with excitement. Next to the closet he also found a black wheelchair.

"Bay?" Mella calls Bayu who looks smiling alone.

"Oy, what's wrong?" Bayu asked back.

"If this is Zainul's room, where is he now? There's something I want to tell her" Mella said.

"Zaynul? You mean the guy who invited us into this house, right?"

"Huh? What difference?" Mella did not understand the meaning of Bayu's words.

"Ha ha ha ha. . The person who invited us here is not Zainul Mell. But if you're curious, maybe you'll meet him soon," Bayu chuckled, his laughter breaking.

"What do you mean Bay?" Shouted Mella. He felt something was wrong with Bayu.

"That's it. Calm yourself. I want to go first" Bayu said.

"Hey! Where you going? How's me?" Mella yelled again, she wriggled trying to stretch her leash.

"Calm Mell. I'm going downstairs to find a knife or scissors to cut the rope that binds you" Bayu said with a smile.

"Don't joke Bayu! You're not pranking me, are you?" Mella glared and still wriggled wriggly like a hot worm.

"Save your strength. Be calm. After all, the cloth in your mouth I took off. Slow down baby," Bayu smiled meaningfully.

Bayu steps away leaving Mella. I don't know what the police are planning. Mella was only able to see the back of Bayu who left without looking at her.

"Yepanuu! Get me out of here! Brengs*h!" Mella suddenly shouted.

"Wood, please Bay! Help me!" Mella is crying this time. His emotions exploded mixed. Upset, sad and desperate.

Mella squirms again trying to break away from the bond. But no matter how hard he tried, his efforts were in vain. Mella even hurt her own hand. The wrist feels sore due to scratches and friction of the skin with the rope that binds it.

"Yepuuuuu!" Mella screams in despair.
