The River House

The River House
36. In the Darkness

At 2pm, Denis woke up to the sound of his HP alarm ringing aloud. He yawned and rubbed his eyes which still felt heavy. The sleepiness made him reluctant to get out of his soft mattress. But he forced himself to sit down.

A piece of paper with beautiful handwriting in its hand. Norita asked him to meet. Obviously, the beautiful woman will invite Denis to repeat the exciting game they have done yesterday.

"But why not just hang in the room instead of Nori? Hadeh," Denis muttered to himself while shaking his head.

Yeah, at first Denis felt a little weird. Though he was sure at this hour no one would know if he sneaked into Norita's room. Or Norita who visited Denis' room. Then Denis concluded himself, if Norita could be addicted to doing it in the bathroom.

Denis exited the room, leaving HP on the bed. Cold air immediately felt piercing the skin. Denis rubbed both of his arms. Faint faintly smelled an unpleasant scent from the next room. Denis recalled that the next room had a body of Dipta that had not been taken care of, left alone. Denis felt his hair standing up.

Denis took a look. This time he stared at Norita's tightly shut room. With a smile Denis walked over.

Tok tok tok tok

Denis knocked on the door slowly. Trying to give Norita the code to get up. Afterwards, Denis walked down the stairs to the first floor.

Denis walks into the bathroom, past the dark-looking kitchen. There was no one at this time, the atmosphere was completely deserted. Denis then walks into one of the bathroom cubicles. He brushed his teeth, washed his face, and made sure he was clean and fragrant.

Shown by Norita's beautiful face and clean skin, Denis involuntarily whistled in the bathroom. He was getting impatient to meet that crazy woman.

The dug dug dug dug

Sounds like footsteps, walking in front of the bathroom. Denis thinks it must be Norita. He immediately opened the bathroom door and looked out. Turns out there's nobody. The atmosphere was quiet and quiet, there was no sign of anyone else around the bathroom.

"No-Nori?" Denis called lirih. But there is no answer. Only a gust of wind blew from the iron door behind the house that opened.

Denis walks into the back door. Denis was alert, prepared with his horse, he was worried that a murderous figure was wandering around the curfew as it is today.

Denis was so close to the back door made of iron. Unintentionally the door was knocked into Denis's leg who was less than careful.

Kriieeeeengggs

The creaking sound of iron door hinges that sound special, break the silence. A few grains of sweat the size of corn kernels drip down the Denis temple. Heart racing, as ready as Denis, in fact fear and groggy control his heart.

Last night, Denis was so sure the villain was Mella. And he was so confident to face and subdue the woman. However, it turns out that in the midst of solitude and the silence of the night that went on at dawn, his guts began to shrink.

There was doubt in Denis' heart. What if the villain wasn't Mella? What if someone else is hiding in the woods? A bloodthirsty criminal who only wants murder for no reason? Just imagine Denis was trembling in fear.

Steady on the responsibility, Denis keeps looking out. The back yard is so dark and deserted. There's no one, there's nothing. Only a gentle breeze blew with a chill that made Denis shudder.

"Suck!" Denis cursed, regretting having been frightened for no apparent reason.

Denis walked back to the bathroom. When she reached the bathroom door, the lights went out. The whole room suddenly went dark. The large house, which became the only brightest place in the middle of the wilderness, experienced a power outage. Automatic darkness immediately shut.

"Damn it!" Denis back in the dark.

The dug dug dug dug

Again, there was a sound of footsteps. Denis stopped stepping. Trying to circulate his gaze, but still there was only darkness before him. And once again, fear enveloped his heart.

"W-who's there?" Denis yelled stifled.

There's no answer. Silence and silence become a complement to the darkness. Until a bright light shines right on Denis's face and eyes. Eyes that had just been in the dark suddenly exposed to a beam of light that was so glare, Denis reflex closed his eyes.

When Denis let his guard down, his neck felt pierced by something. Taper object, a kind of needle pierced right into the blood flow in Denis' neck.

"Suck!" Denis swung his fist recklessly.

Bugghh Glodaakk

One of Denis's fists, hit something and knocked him down. Light swivel swivel in the bathroom corridor floor. Apparently a large flashlight fell and rolled in front of the bathroom.

Denis this time could see someone fall down in front of him. Denis saw it, the criminal complained of holding his stomach due to being hit by Denis' fist.

"It turns out you!" Denis.

But unfortunately, Denis's eyes began to bud. His sight was blurred, and his head felt heavy. Denis tried to survive with his horse, but unfortunately his footrest weakened and in the end the local selebgram collapsed on the floor.

Meanwhile, when the power went out, Ellie was asleep while sitting leaning against the wall. Ellie remained in Tia's room, waiting for her and several times changed the compress attached to Tia's hot forehead.

Ellie woke up, but closing and opening her eyes was the same. Nothing visible, just darkness. While Tia occasionally sounded moaning.

"Ell Ellie?" Tia called out.

"Yes Ti, calm this darkness for a while. Soon it seems like morning is coming" Ellie said calmly.

There's nothing to worry about. Ellie was sure that before bed had locked the door to Tia's room. So, even in the dark he was sure to be far from danger.

"Ellie, if tomorrow the promised 200 million has come, I leave it to you. Please save it and send it to my husband" said Tia Lirih.

"Tia, you'll be healed and we'll be home from this goddamn riverfront house tomorrow morning" Ellie replied, palpating Tia's bed. Ellie managed to find and clasped Tia's cold palm.

"One more Ellie, please tell my husband that I still love him. Although I regretted my way of life several times, but I never regret ever meeting and knowing him," said Tia lirih.

"No Tia. You can't give up. Give your own message to your husband" Ellie clasped Tia's hand. But instead, Tia's hands were getting weaker and colder.

In the dark, there was the sound of Tia's heavy breathing. Ellie felt Tia's body getting colder and the next second Tia was noiseless. Silent for a long time.
