One . . . Two . . . Three!
Braakkkk
As powerful as Bayu and Galang broke down the door of the locked room. Door leaves made of acacia wood are famous for their strength quality. Moreover, the door grendel made of quality iron.
After several attempts, the door was finally broken. The room was empty. There's no one there. Yodi disappeared with all his luggage.
Bayu carefully pay attention to the condition of the room. There were a few things that were notes in his mind. First the room key is not installed on the door. This means that the room may not be locked from the inside, but from the outside. Second, there is a window connected to the front yard of the house. A window wide enough for an adult to enter. I don't know when that window opened. Third, there was a wet trail down the window. And lastly, there was a speck of red stain that had dried up on the end of the window curtain.
"Where's Yodi?" Mella asked, breaking the silence. Galang shook his head slowly.
"The bag does not exist. All his stuff is gone too. Window's open. Maybe Yodi didn't jump out the window, and then she came home?" Denis conveyed his conjecture
"That's not possible Den. Yodi was injured in his foot, the road was difficult. Why would he bother jumping out of the window?" He immediately refuted Denis's opinion.
"Maybe there are no robbers in the middle of the forest? Or dedemit?" Tia gripped Iva's hand tightly. She's terrified.
"Huuss, ngawurr!" Mella snapped a little.
"How do you think Bay is? You are a policeman" Galang asked Bayu.
"Eitherway. There's no clue. It seems that Yodi did come out through the window, and then went somewhere," Bayu replied. Bayu refused to submit his analysis.
"That's it. We better get out of this room," continued Bayu gave advice. Everyone agreed and went back to the living room.
At that moment, Hendra was seen walking from the direction of the bathroom. Rubbing her wet hair with a towel.
"What are you doing anyway?" Hendra asked, he seemed surprised to see his friend who had just come out of the guest room.
"Yodi's missing" Denis said.
"Huh? Lost or intentionally gone? Not at home in the middle of the forest maybe" Hendra said.
"Oh yeah, why don't you try calling?" Hendra asked again.
"Did you forget there was no signal?" Mella sewot.
"Walah, iyo ya," Hendra grinned.
Suddenly we heard footsteps from outside the house. Fast and hurried footsteps. Apparently, Dipta and Norita came back from the river. All over their bodies were drenched, with expressions that looked terrified.
They lean on the wall. Norita held onto her chest, adjusting her breathing. While Dipta rubbed his hand because of the cold.
"Why you? What's the matter again?" Ellie grabs the towel and gives it to Norita. She did not want the men to bulge her eyes at the curves of Norita's tightly imprinted body on her wet shirt.
"Name*n! I just saw a piece of floating hand at times," Dipta swore. He was still horrified to remember the recent incident.
"What's? You didn't see it wrong, did you?" Bayu approached Dipta. He felt a bad feeling.
"I'm not so sure either. It happened so bad earlier. But, I guess it was indeed a hand piece," Dipta still looked trembling.
"This house is very safe, sir and Miss. Much safer than you walk home at night," Mr. Mardoyo said. He's standing in the doorway. His expression looked so cold. His straight jaw was firm, giving a fierce impression.
"One of our friends, was resting in the guest room. But he's missing now sir. Is this house really safe for us?" Galang denied Mr. Mardoyo's remarks.
"It could be that he's on his way, sir. I am the guard in this house. Mr. Zainul entrust the safety of his guests to me. I can assure you and assure you this house is very safe and comfortable. I am living proof, have lived here 5 years, and healthy wal afiat until now."
Hearing Mr. Mardoyo's words all fell silent. While Dipta went to the sofa, took his ration towel, also a change of clothes. He walked straight to the bathroom.
"Mel, accompany me to the bathroom" Norita told Mella after a moment of silence. Mella nodded in agreement, and immediately took Norita to clean up and change clothes.
"Better not to panic. Stay calm, and try not to go anywhere alone. I want to go out for a while to check on something," Bayu gave advice and a warning.
"I'm coming" said Galang. Bayu scrunched his forehead to forbid it.
"Didn't you say yourself, don't go anywhere alone Bay," Galang mimicked Bayu's words.
"Ah, Alright," Bayu sighed reluctantly to argue.
Bayu and Galang walked out of the house to the front yard. Then turn to the left and stop under the open window. The window of the guest room where Yodi disappeared.
"Bay, I saw a blood patch in the room curtain" said Galang arrived. A little surprised by his old friend. Galang turned out to be quite observant and thorough.
"What do you think? You saw it too, didn't you?" Galang asked when he saw Bayu just silence.
"Yes I saw it. But I can't be sure if it's blood or some other stain. I don't bring any equipment. However, my hunch said something was not right," Bayu crouched down checking the ground just below the window.
A trail of irregular shoes. There was the former end of the front shoe that was immersed quite deeply in the ground. Footprints of the shoes were seen down the house to the back.
"Wouldn't we talk about this with Host Bay? The Zainul?"
"I'm not sure. Maybe we should find Yodi first around this house," Bayu walked following the footprints on the ground, Galang tailed behind him.
They were in the back of the house. There were several bamboo groves swinging crazily in the wind. The sound of the river water sounded so loud. While the sky is getting darker, the view is limited.
A boot lay in a pile of firewood. Bayu picked it up and matched it with the trail that was on the ground. And fittingly, those shoes were worn by whoever it was the person standing in front of the guest room window.
Bayu reached for HP in his pocket. Turn on the flashlight and point it at the boot. Between some of the ground attached, a thickened red stain was attached to the heel.
"It looks like Yodi is in trouble. If my guess is correct, this is really bad," Bayu muttered to himself.
Galang who noticed, looked at Bayu seriously. He was quite amazed by the workings of Bayu who is fast, precise and deft.
"Now what should we do?" Galang asked.
"We go back inside first. Will Zainul be present at the dinner? Let's tell him later that Yodi is gone. I want to know how Zainul responds," Bayu invites Galang to return home.
Bayu has not been able to conclude anything at this time. He can't trust anyone, he's not even sure Zainul's in this house. And all of that made Bayu feel a bit of fear in his heart.
