The River House

The River House
30. Battles

A mysterious figure tried to harm Galang. He swung his knife towards Galang's stomach. Lucky Galang can still kink. However, it turns out that the mysterious figure is good at fighting. When the first attack failed, the second attack he launched.

A kick hit Galang's back with a landslide. The fallen ship kissed the ground. He felt his mouth full of mud. But there's no time to complain. Galang immediately rolled his body aside.

Jraassshh

The folding knife belonging to the mysterious figure was stuck on the ground. If Galang was late for a second just rolled, of course his chest pierced by the shiny sharp object.

"Cont****! What's wrong?" Galang. He wakes up staggering. But the interlocutor was silent, pulled his knife from the ground and prepared to attack again.

"Can't we talk about it either? Why does it have to be like this? What's your purpose?" Galang asked as he walked back slowly to keep his distance.

Galang was well aware, under normal circumstances he had difficulty facing his opponent. Especially now that his body is not fit. But from the looks of it, the figure before him was also exhausted. The figure seemed to regulate the breath. Or maybe don't don't figure it's not used to attacking like this?

"We are old friends. And I know you're not a criminal. So, let's talk good, either way" Galang tried to gamble with his fate. His heart was slightly convinced that the figure before him could still be invited to negotiate.

"Huh? Ha ha ha ha ha," the figure before Galang chuckled. His laughter broke, sounding quite loud in the middle of the silent forest.

Suddenly arrived the figure again ran crashing towards Galang. The less alert stumbling block was late evading.

Sraattts

Galang used his left arm to cover his stomach. An incision extended and deep enough to tear his left arm. Blood splashed quite a lot.

"Arrgghhh," Galang yelled.

The second strike came, a right-footed kick hitting Galang's chest. A trained kick, making Galang strayed.

Galang in a supine condition, the mysterious figure immediately hit him, and overpowered him. The figure brandished his knife near Galang's neck.

Galang closed his eyes in fear. His body was shaking violently. He was about to cry, without even being able to control Galang wet his pants.

"Fear, cry, beg. Feel how it feels to be 'he' in the past" said the figure while looking down on Galang.

Galang fell silent, in the midst of his fear he recalled the events in the past. His memory is like being dragged into the club room of XI drama IPA 5.

Galang remembered very well, he used to be a student who only focused on pursuing academic grades. He is not interested in participating in any kind of exculpatory activities.

However, in the middle of the first semester it turns out that every student is required to follow one of the excursions in his school. Galang randomly entered the drama with some of his classmates.

At that time Galang was not too familiar with Zainul, as well as with other friends. All he knows is that Zainul is a student who is always the target of his friend's pranks.

And that afternoon, Yodi invited Galang to prank the thin, curly-haired boy. Galang initially refused, but in the end he could not avoid Yodi's mischievous invitation.

Yodi carries a large plastic bag of disgusting insect bugs. Cockroaches, maggots, caterpillars, termites, and other small animal animals that Yodi out of nowhere gets.

That afternoon, Zainul ran off on the ridge as he opened his backpack. His face was deathly pale, he cried among the cheers of other students who felt proud and happy had managed to subdue the weakest human child of his time.

Galang sobbed in tears remembering his previous treatment of Zainul. However, that did not mean that he had to give up on his life at this time. Maybe it was wrong in the past. But the figure holding the knife before him had no right to judge him.

Galang's right hand moved, looking for objects he might be able to use as weapons. A little bit of luck was on his side. There was a piece of dry wooden branch with a fairly taper end he found lying on the ground.

Galang took the dry branch, quickly swung and pointed it at the calf to the left of the opponent who overcame it.

Jraasshhh

The branches are deep enough. A red liquid gushed from the muscular leg.

"Name**ttt!" The figure curses and groans.

Galang immediately pushed his opponent's body in pain. He was standing up, about to run. However, the figure still had the power to swing his weapon blindly. Two incisions were enough to give wounds to the chest and abdomen.

Galang almost fell, but managed to endure the pain and controlled himself. He ran with all his might in a state of severe injuries. Galang no matter which way he ran, the most important thing was that he could get away from the figure who was about to kill him.

* * *

Iva walked along the edge of the forest, looking for the whereabouts of Hendra who went somewhere. He was there for almost an hour. Want to go back home even Iva hesitated.

Iva believed what Hendra said, that everyone in the house was not trustworthy. The death of God made him even more afraid. Hendra is his hope, he who had promised safety to Iva.

While wandering around looking for Mella earlier, Hendra promised to immediately take Iva out of the house by the river, the house of the Rich Man. But now, the man disappeared somewhere.

Amidst her doubts, Iva sat on a large ash-coloured rock under a laban tree. He stared at the green grass from a distance. It also looks like a magnificent house belonging to Zainul. The house he initially admired. But now, he felt like he wanted to leave the house quickly.

Iva misses her little family. Missing her husband, who despite having brought her family to the brink of bankruptcy due to online gambling, but her husband was her first love. He misses the distended stomach that he used to make a pillow for sleeping in front of the TV.

When Iva sank in his daydream, in the distance saw Hendra walking staggered towards him. Unasked, Iva immediately stood up and ran towards Hendra. He helped Hendra to walk.

"Why are you Hen?" Iva asked curiously.

"Sluck off, continue to hit the rocks," said Hendra, grimacing in pain.

Iva then crouched down to check Hendra's left leg. A new wound appeared to be gaping in his calf. Iva looked at how painful the wound was.

"We have to go back home immediately, ask for alcohol to clean this wound" Iva said later.

Hendra nodded in agreement. Slowly Hendra and Iva walked back to the house. While the sky was starting to clear, now it appears to dim again. The afternoon began to go away was replaced by the reddish rays of the sun in the afternoon.
