The River House

The River House
LVII. The End is the Beginning

Right at midnight, the atmosphere of the forest is so boisterous and crowded. Villagers, as well as police officers have filled the area of the new home of the Lawanto Ferry family. A number of body bags already contain the bodies of the victims of the madness of the host.

Ferry Lawanto was designated as the only perpetrator who has lost the lives of people who visited the house by the river. Allegedly due to past trauma, Ferry lost his mind and wiped out everyone, including his own family. Luckily his wife named Anggun managed to survive after confining himself in the room. Her mother, Rofida, was rushed to the hospital in a coma.

The villain is also found in a lifeless state after fighting against his own adopted brother named Erwin. The key witness is a maid named Mak Surti who managed to escape with her five-year-old son after being rescued by police Adi and Tarji.

The police themselves had to suffer such a huge loss. After its young members with various achievements must fall while on duty at the scene. Bayu Khairil had to lose his life with several wounds on his abdomen.

Morning news headlines are full of heroic stories of a Bayu Khairil. His funeral was filled with news seekers, as well as people who had felt the kindness of the man. His name was hailed, hailed, and hailed sky-high as one of the most influential young men in the city of T.

Adi and Tarji are in the group, delivering Bayu's body to the pit. They were wearing black suits that hinted at a deep feeling of grief. After the funeral, Adi and Tarji sit on the hood of a car in the parking lot. Adi looked pensive, for some reason his heart still felt troubled.

"Great gloom on your face. Losing a heavy rival left you apparently injured," Tarji said.

"Eitherway. I feel like something's wrong. Do you know my feelings never miss? Even in this case my hunch is right," Adi smiled wryly.

"What do you expect Di? Your assumption that Bayu is not as good as people think has never been proven. Your suspicion of him I hope is over. Bayu is gone. I've been friends with you for a long time. And I think you have to accept the fact that Bayu is a near-perfect officer. Above you in every way" Tarji patted Adi on the shoulder. Whether he intended to give his best friend advice, or even make fun of him.

"I don't have any achievements Tarji. This time I was too late. Too many deaths. Had I moved faster maybe Bayu would not have had to fall in the line of duty," Adi snorted in annoyance.

"Your instinct and your gut feeling are always good at. Maybe I should err, you don't lose everything to Bayu. Next time I'll have more faith in your gut feeling. I'll always move next to you Di. This time we can be off guard, next time we'll be faster. Wush wush wushh," Tarji moved his palm like a snake move. Adi laughed amusedly.

"Where are Mak Surti and Miko?" tanya Adi switched the conversation.

"They've improved. This morning was delivered to get assistance from the women and children protection service. They will recover soon" Tarji said confidently.

"Eh, he said the wife of the perpetrator named Anggun still kekeuh occupy the house by the river? Strange, doesn't serem live there alone?" Tarji geleng.

"The dragon has a history of the disease and is said to be living soon. Maybe he wanted to spend the rest of his time in a quiet place, away from the frenetic life of the city. Ms. Rofida, the in-law of Anggun is still unconscious to this day. It's really a terrible case," Adi continued with a sigh.

A black car approached and stopped right next to Tarji's parked car. Handsome young man, wearing a white shirt getting out of the car. Damar, with an ice-cold face carrying an object wrapped in wrapping paper, stood in front of Adi.

"Build, we happened to meet. There's something I want to ask you" Adi said, shaking Damar's hand.

"What is Mr Adi?" Damar scrunched his forehead.

"The woman with a broken face from burns that have attacked Bayu to death, who exactly is the woman? Are the results of the examination already out?" ask Adi curious.

"Based on the results of the dental examination, the woman was named Mella. One of the invited guests of the Rich Man who disappeared during the burning of the river house," Damar explained.

"I'll excuse you first" Damar said later. He lowered his head for a while then stepped down the streets of the tomb with the green grass flourishing. The correct burial area is well maintained.

Damar stopped his steps in front of the red earth mound with a sprinkling of flowers. He took off his glasses, without feeling the grains of water dripping in the corner of the netra.

"I'm sorry. Shouldn't cry for your departure, Mr. Bayu. Your goal has been achieved. I'm going to write that book for people in need. Just trust them will perform a beautiful scenario written by the Rich Man. Your departure is the beginning, justice for people who are 'sick' will be obtained," Damar said wiping his tears.

"A farewell gift for you, sir. One of the 100 maroon red books by Sang Maestro. Thank you for bringing me to this amazing book," Damar looked up at the bright blue sky. There were only a few white overcast spots in the endless space.

* * *

A month has passed. The story of the greatness of Bayu Khairil is no longer discussed. Everyone is busy with their lives. They try to find happiness in many different ways. Step forward day by day without worry. Even though tomorrow remains a mystery. No one knows, will the bad luck befall him one hour, minute, second the next?

Gracefully driving a jeep through the desolate wilds. In the back seat was Bu Rofida-in-law, sitting quietly with a frightened face. Grace had just picked up her in-laws from the hospital. Ms. Rofida was awake a few days ago and allowed to go home.

Graceful now looks fitter. His face is serial and fuller. He can even drive a car alone. The woman who used to always look weak now looks strong and powerful.

While Ms. Rofida after falling from the second floor stairs, she was no longer able to stand. He also lost the ability to speak. There are no more families left. And now he was taken by the son-in-law who was not sane, to the house in the middle of the dense forest.

Anggun car pulled over next to the house that looked more gloomy than the previous month. Many growing vines blanket the front porch wall. Gracefully get off his car.

"Maaka! Get me a wheelchair!" shout Gracefully. He repeated his shout while directing his gaze towards the house.

Miss Rofida's a little confused. Who is called by Grace? Is it possible that Mak Surti would return to serve Anggun?

After Anggun's shout echoed, a white-haired old woman came out from the side door of the house while pushing a wheelchair. The cold and flat-faced woman. It was as if the woman was not human, looking like an undead.

"Hud, introduce the maid Anggun. He will also take care of the needs of Ibuk. His name is Mak Ijah" Anggun said with a smile.

This story is not over. Although for now it is the end (uh, how)

The River House is completed for this Season. And will it continue maybe next month or next year??

Maroon's red book has been spread. The riverfront house was prepared for the screenplay by Sang Rich Man.

Many also commented, why Bayu just like this in the end? Yes, because this story is the main character of the antagonist.

The story is too dark, there is nothing positive to take. Emmm, well need to be underlined this story is just a fictitious yes friend. There is no intention to give advice to all friends. This story is purely from the results of hammering in the hours of work break. But, if you want to be pulled from the beginning I just want to convey the stop of bullying. This story also begins with bullies in school, and ends tragically.

This story is just fictional. The similarities of names, places, occurrences are mere coincidences.

Comments, criticisms, suggestions are awaited for improvement.
