31. Injury in the leg

Ellie and Norita stood stunned in front of the wooden cabinet in the guest room. A green fly moving wildly ignored two humans who hesitated to open the closet door.

Ellie had swallowed a few times. His throat was choked, horror and fear ruled the recesses of his heart. But on the other hand, his curiosity and desire to prove his prejudices were very strong. Ellie had to open the closet, and see what was inside.

"Nori, promise me whatever we'll see later in the closet, you can't scream, can't run, let alone pass out. Master yourself and stay behind me" Ellie said.

Norita is horrified to hear Ellie's words. She has the same curiosity as Ellie. Curiosity that cannot be denied.

With trembling hands, Ellie pulled the closet door. Slowly the cupboard opened, giving way to the green fly fly to enter and raid something that was inside.

When the closet opens completely, Ellie and Norita can only stand. What they saw was something really terrible. Let alone to scream, no voice can. The mouth feels locked tightly, the throat hole feels narrowed.

Norita gripped Ellie's arm very tightly. His long nails, slamming into Ellie's skin to inflict wounds. But Ellie didn't feel it. The pain of the wound on his arm was covered with fear, disgust and horror.

In the closet an intact corpse was gagged and wedged in unusual conditions. An inhuman act. It was clear that the body was Yodi. The head is still intact, while the remaining half of his body is left in the closet.

With the rest of her courage, Ellie closed the closet slowly. Ellie had swallowed a dozen times, soaking her dry throat out of fear.

"Nori," Ellie called out to Nori who kept gripping her arm.

Norita just kept quiet. His eyes were blank, like a dazed person.

"Norita! Hey!" Ellie snapped a little.

Norita was shocked. Then release his hand. Her fingernails were red from Ellie's injured arm.

"Ellie. .I'm afraid," Norita began to cry. A water-spread began to flow from the corner of the beautiful singer's eyes.

"Calm down" Ellie said with a sigh.

Ellie is just as excited as Norita. She wanted to cry, scream and run away. However, it was not done. Staying inside the house is the safest option. Because out there, Ellie doesn't know who the ruthless criminal who took the lives of Dipta and Yodi. What is clear is that the culprit is one of his old friends who is currently wandering outside the house.

Ellie hugs Norita, trying to calm Norita while recovering her own mental state. A warm hug is in fact the same as they need for now.

"We'd better go back to Tia's room, clearing our minds. What steps we should take after this, we should think carefully," Ellie said behind her tight embrace to Norita.

Norita nodded in agreement. In his mind he began to regret his arrival to this riverfront house. Money can be sought, but life cannot be replaced. Never before had he ever thought he would be stuck in the woods with a cold-blooded killer.

After a bit of calm, Ellie and Norita agree to return to Tia's room. After closing the guest room door, Ellie and Norita prepared to climb the stairs to the second floor. That's when Mak Ijah suddenly appeared from the kitchen.

"Where are the two of you from?" Mak Ijah asked with a flat expression. Face that feels annoying and creepy. 

"Ah, just around the corner, Mak" replied Ellie quickly, before Norita opened her mouth.

Ellie felt no need to tell Mak Ijah what she had seen. Or do not even actually Mak Ijah already know. The woman was the one who served as a household assistant in this house, of course she was the one who cleaned and cleaned every corner of the house, including the guest room. So, most likely the old woman knew the whereabouts of Yodi's corpse.

Ellie takes Norita with her, and invites her to return to Tia's room. Ellie sped up the steps up the stairs without caring for Mak Ijah who was looking at her with the same facial expression.

Arriving at the room, Ellie immediately checked Tia's condition. His body temperature has started to drop. Although his eyes are still closed, but his face looks not too pale.

"Now how are we supposed to be Ell?" Norita asked while sitting in the corner of the room. His knees were bent, he bit his own fingernails involuntarily.

"We have to wait for the others to return home" Ellie replied. He rubbed his sweat using Tia's tissue.

"Eitherway. Everyone is a suspect Nori. Don't trust anyone else in this house."

"Including you Ell?" Norita stared at Ellie.

"Yes sure. Including me," Ellie nodded.

After that they both fell silent. Busy with his own thoughts. Norita reached into the HP she had in her pocket. There was a faint battery tone. Immediately, Norita searched for a charger in Tia's room. After getting a charger that belongs to no one, Norita plays offline games on her HP to ward off anxiety.

For a few moments, the atmosphere of the house is really quiet, quiet and silent. Finally a voice came from downstairs. Sounds like someone asking for help.

Ellie immediately exited the room and saw what was happening below. It turns out Iva is embracing and helping Hendra who looks difficult to walk.

"Ellie, help me. Please bring alcohol to clean the wound on Hendra's leg," Iva half-screamed.

Ellie swiftly picked up the P3K box in Tia's room. Then he went down to the ground floor. Norita tailed, trailing behind Ellie.

"What's going on? Hendra why?" Ellie asked, opening the P3K box. Then remove the alcohol, cotton, and gauze.

"I slipped" replied Hendra, grimacing in pain.

Ellie is not a medical officer, but because she also read several books on emergency medicine, she can do a little first aid quite well. 

When Ellie was cleaning the wound on Hendra's leg, came Mr. Mardoyo and Bayu. The housekeeper embraces Bayu who has difficulty walking. It turns out Bayu also had a wound on his left leg. Some parts of his body also looked bruised.

"Why else is this?" Ellie asked in wonder.

"So I found him lying on a rocky road in the middle of the forest there," said Mr. Mardoyo.

"I slipped and fell. Good thing Mr. Mardoyo found me," Bayu replied while grimacing in pain. 

Bayu then sat down next to Hendra who had finished getting first aid.

"Why are you Hen?" Ask Bayu.

"Just like you, I just slipped on the edge of the forest there," replied Hendra explained.

"Emm, Mister, my lady excuse me. Be clean," Mr. Mardoyo resigned when he felt the task was done.

Mr. Mardoyo hurriedly walked towards the bathroom. While passing through the kitchen it turns out that he met Mak Ijah who was cutting vegetables.

"Where?" Tanya Mak Ijah flat.

"The forest" replied Mr. Mardoyo briefly.

"Why do your legs look weird?" Mak Ijah asked back after noticing Pak Mardoyo's unusual way. 

Mak Ijah has memorized the gesture and gestures of Mr. Mardoyo. Because the two of them had long worked together in the mansion.

"Don't ask too many questions. Our job is not to say much. Our job is to follow the orders of 'Master'. Whatever it is," said Mr. Mardoyo as he went by. Pak Mardoyo's left calf appears to bleed soaked his trousers.
