After examining my body, the drone scanned Vany's body with a blue light. There is nothing to worry about, as we are indeed from this village, so automatically, we will definitely not find any problems with this examination.

After scanning both of us, the drone flew back up to us, as a surveillance camera. Of course, even though an intruder was caught, the intruder was not immediately killed, but was arrested and then taken to the examination room.

Although the village is still part of the Alastein state, it has its own regional autonomy. Not just anyone can enter here, because this place is a closed area. In fact, the top brass of Alastein country, need a permit in order to enter this Rose village.

For a moment, I glanced at Vany. He seemed ordinary with this kind of sight. Obviously, there is nothing surprising, because at first everything was like this. Some may wonder why an assassin like me can become a resident of Rose Village. And not being a fugitive in the whole country of Alastein.

The answer to that was very simple, I managed to cover up the incident. Not because I used the identity of Kei—adikku— as a shield, but because of me, Luchifer is a person who is considered a hero. Do you know why that is? That's because many people from the village of Rose, who do not agree on the existence of human experiments conducted by the Klaurius family.

These people from Rose village prefer to experiment with tools and machines, not humans. Although there are among those who become half-robotic humans or commonly called Cyborg, because they experience body defects. However, the experiment was conducted at one's personal request, not by force.

Perhaps no one knows the facts about the superhuman experiments conducted by the Klaurius Family. Yes, needless to say, they treat humans like a worthless animal, although in the end some still succeed. However, still, the Rose village did not want to force one's will to be used as a trial material, very different from the Klaurius family.

In the past, the village of Rose also had good relations with the Klaurius family, but that was due to the coercive element of the Klaurius family itself. That's why, Vany and I can be one of the villagers. It's not logical, but in their gratitude for the destruction of the Klaurius family, they let me become a resident of Rose village.

Slowly, I walked to the front, where there was a gate that was the access to Rose village. Without needing to tell, Vany tailed behind me. He just kept quiet, not saying a word. Until we arrived in front of a large gate that was covered by an iron door, and guarded by guards in robot uniforms.

Well, how I explain it, they're not Cyborgs, but humans whose entire bodies are covered by robotic skeletons. There are certainly weapons there to fight.

One of the guards, whose face was covered in a silver-colored steel mask, directed his right palm which was emitting a white-colored light. Then, a blue light emanated from the direction of his mask eyes to scan my body.

Not long after, the guard lowered his hand. “Klaurius Luchifer, identity recognized, please enter.”

It was easy, without the need for me to show any identification, they already knew my identity. Not like the gatekeepers of Fluch City, who instantly believed when I thrust out a fake identity card.

Moments later, Vany also made it through the examination. Naturally, because Vany was transferred from the North City to the village of Rose because of the wishes of his parents. The reason why he was transferred, I don't know either, is because it was a very old thing, when I was a child.

The huge iron door that closed the gate, started to open with a loud buzzing sound. A moment after the door opened, the view from a beautiful city with so many tall buildings, instantly filled the vision. “Maybe it's better we call it Rose City than Rose village.”

“Haha,” Vany laughs a little at my words. “But in the past this place was not a place like this.”

“I know, this place used to be just a small village without a building.”

“Yes, maybe that's why they named it Rose.” village

“Already, we better go in immediately and find lodging.”

“Good.”

We walked in through the big gate. The roads are so dense, motorbikes and cars that rely on gravity manipulation, continue to pass through large roads. Meanwhile, Vany and I just kept flinching by the side of the road, with many people staring at them.

How could it not be, our midfield-like performance made people cast odd glances at us. Soon, a tall young man in a red jacket, gave me some bread.

For some reason, my hand would take the young man's gift. Then he left while waving his hand.

“Hei!”

A few slices of bread I threw directly at the young man's head. He turned, and glared in annoyance. Not to be outdone, I also narrowed my eyes at him. Vany just kept hiding behind my back.

I let out a breath. “What kind of fucking friend are you?”

The young man immediately gawked, he might be surprised to hear my words.

“Don't say you're Luchifer.” He closed his nose and took a few steps back.

Damn, he mocked me. “Iya, it's me.”

“I didn't think you changed professions to be a vagrant.”

“What you said!”

“Ah, come on, more importantly, who is the girl behind you?”

I turned towards Vany, she seemed not very interested in introducing herself. “She Vany,” I said, “Vany, she is my friend, Dom.”

“Hai!” Dom waved his hand to Vany.

The girl did not react in the slightest, it seemed that she was very uninterested in getting acquainted with Dom. But never mind, it doesn't matter. I immediately turned towards Dom. “So.”

“Ya, I understand.” Dom walked right away from us. “Follow me!”

Slowly, Vany and I followed him.

“Hey, are you sure?” Vany whispered with a feather in my ear.

Without turning towards him, I replied, “He is my friend.”

“Hee...”.

It seems like he wants to be as literate as; I didn't think someone like you had a friend. However, not to be concerned, thinking about it would only add to the burden.

Walking on the side of a large road with many people watching, we finally arrived at a large villa, where Dom and I used to live. The villa is surrounded by a high enough wall, and the entrance is a fairly large gate, and guarded by several people in uniform.

Dom immediately led us in after speaking with the guards earlier, and we were still being noticed by them when entering the villa. I can't believe it, looking shabby because not taking a shower for a few weeks can attract attention.
