The Red Game's

The Red Game's
Chapter 2: The Past of Cresh

When I woke up, the sun was up. Its warm light makes the body feel comfortable to the point that I am made lazy to wake up from sleep.

When I still want to enjoy the warm morning light, this self gets a feeling that bad things will happen if not immediately get out of here. Because of that, I immediately forced the body to get up and check around. I'm sure there's nothing awkward here.

Foot steps towards the edge of the roof. From here I find out if there's anyone down there. Because there was no one, without a second thought I immediately jumped from the top of the building where I am now.

In general, a person will definitely experience serious injuries or loss of life when landing. However, that is not the case for me, since at a certain height, my Gravity Manipulating Technique will activate by itself.

I realized that the power I had was very deceitful and boring, but nothing could change it.

Moments later, this self finally landed smoothly. Then move your legs casually while putting both hands in the pants pocket.

Upon arrival at the destination, I saw Wili standing guard at the entrance of their headquarters. I turned my gaze away from him while continuing to walk without caring about him. However, before I could get in, he blocked my way with his right hand.

"Hey, fucking Kei, stop right there!" he said with a firm tone.

“I don't know what you mean stop my way like this.”

"You must be a spy sent to keep an eye on BlackList, right?" There was a pause for a while before he finally continued, "ah, I should have realized this the first time we met. But I'm lucky, because you're a careless man. So I can realize you're a spy."

"After some thought, from the many possibilities that exist, the, you must have thought that last night I met a group that told me to spy on your group so that it made me leave without saying goodbye to you first."

"I didn't think you'd dare admit that."

"Your suspicions are completely unfounded."

"What do you mean?"

“Let me give you a little enlightenment."

I took a breath for a moment. "First, if I were a spy, I would definitely need more time to get results. Second, a spy wouldn't act as recklessly as I did last night. And for what reason did I wake up the sleeping monster, Cresh. To the point of making him escape the past that gripped him."

"Isn't that just a trick for us to trust you." Wili directly cut.

"Trik's? You're a fool, yes. There might be people who want their enemies to get stronger. Besides, the information I'm getting right now is still not enough to report when I left last night."

Wili was silent to the explanation. I'm pretty sure he can't deny it anymore. Because judging from his behavior, I can tell that he actually agreed to the explanation. However, because he did not want to accept it, he could only agree in his heart, and would not confess directly to me.

Leisurely stepping foot, entering the BlackList headquarters area. And of course Wili let me in even though he seemed a little upset.

A few steps ahead, there are twins Roki and Riki who were cleaning up the remains of the campfire last night. And not far from them, there were girls who were busy chatting.

The further I walked, I finally arrived at the front door of the headquarters. There was Marten and the Clouds talking.

As I was about to enter the base, at the same time Marten and the Clouds blocked the road with their hands.

"Why do you want to get inside our base?" asked Marten in an interrogating tone.

"Am I not allowed in there?" I asked back.

“Of course.”

It's weird, they shouldn't have prevented me from getting inside the base, maybe they hate me so much because of last night. Or maybe there's another reason. But there is one thing that is clear, which is that I have to be kinder to them from now on.

Moments later, Vany came and ran straight into the base without being pushed away by the two people who had been blocking me.

It seems like there's a reason why they wouldn't let me in. And of course I have to ask them that.

“Why did you guys let Vany in, whereas I didn't?”

“You still don't understand, yes. Isn't it obvious because you're not a member of BlackList.”

Huh huh? Whatdoes thatmean?

Wasn't I a part of BlackList last night?

It turns out that I was the only one who thought that this self was already a part of them.

It's only fair that I'm not allowed inside their headquarters, and that's also what makes Wili reluctant to let me in here.

Hm .. interesting. They seem to have a good secret to use as a tool to control them.

They just make me excited.

"Alright, I won't force you to enter." I took a breath for a moment. "But in exchange, I want you to call Cresh here. I need to confirm something to her."

"No. This cannot be told to you. Because this is about an incident that Cresh caused a year ago. Therefore I must confirm whether it is true or not."

"Isn't that clearly not true. What else do you need to confirm."

"I know you'd think so, but understand how Cresh would feel if the story of the incident were to spread to others. Do you have the heart to see Cresh get annoyed by it. If you're really 'his friends', I'm sure you wouldn't want that to happen."

"If it does happen, then we'll definitely finish you off." Cloud confirms.

"I'm not sure if you can do it."

"Ten—"

"That's it, Cloud." Marten cut in, because it seemed he had given up arguing. "Come in!" He turned his eyes towards me.

Fiuh .. I was lucky that Marten finally gave up because of my threat. And of course, the reason for giving up was because of thinking about Cresh's feelings.

The trick I used to threaten him was very simple, but when I emphasized the word 'friend', I was sure that Marten would definitely be subdued. Because the word will make him sympathize until finally be kind because of a sense of 'solidarity' between friends.

I walked inside the headquarters until I reached a large room. There was a table in the room and a person sitting on the chair behind the table.

Without waiting any longer, I just walked straight to the table. Suddenly a red-haired girl, who was none other than Vany, came and stood near me.

“If you have any business with Cresh, I don't mind lining up behind you.” I invited Vany to get ahead.

"Just calm down, I have no business with him" Vany replied with a warm smile.

"So, why are you here?"

"Yes ..that's because I'm a little curious about what you said to Marten and the Clouds."  Vany then looked me in the eye. "Can?"

"I don't mind, but I'm not sure Cresh would agree."

Cresh, who had only been listening to our conversation, finally smiled and said, "I don't mind if Vany is listening as well."

“Although this is about the incident you made one year ago at ‘Red Game’, Cresh the troublemaker.”

Cresh's face became gloomy and very sad after the sentence he heard. He could be like this probably because his bad memories came back. Moreover, Vany who had been relaxed, became tense and took a few steps back after I alluded to the 'Red Game'.

I knew that Cresh would be annoyed, but I didn't understand why Vany was also surprised by it.

“Why can you calmly allude to that terrible game, Kei?” Vany asked as she adjusted her irregular breathing.

“I should have asked you, Vany." I paused for a moment. "Why do you know about ‘Red Game’? Is it possible that you were also involved in it.”

“Eh, that ... it's because .. because I've heard rumors about that game. Yeah, it's because I've heard rumors about that game.”

“Then, why can you know about the big incident in ‘Red Game’ one year ago?”

“That's because ..” Vany glanced to and fro. It seemed that he was starting to panic and was trying to find an excuse to get out of the situation I was making.

However, it was actually useless if he tried to hide his true identity to me. Because I've known it for a long time. Even I know more about how cruel 'Red Game' is.

Moments later, Cresh broke the silence that occurred. "Can we not talk about the 'Red Game' here?"

“Good.” I agreed, agreed to Cresh's proposal.

***

Cresh led us to a room next to the previous room. He purposely invited us here to explain what really happened one year ago in 'Red Game'.

There are two chairs in this room next to the table. There is also a closet and a bed placed near the window.

Cresh sat on the bed. While Vany and I immediately pulled the chair in front of Cresh, then sat there.

“To be honest, I still don't understand why you still want to talk about the incident that you want to forget,” asked Vany while tilting her head.

“That's because I'm sick of hiding those terrible events. To be honest, I'm afraid to tell others this. But since you two seem to already know how it happened, then I will tell you what really happened there.”

“It turns out you are no longer able to hold the secret alone.” I immediately responded.

“Yes, that's it. Thirteen years ago, I was just an ordinary boy from the Valencius family who was made into a guinea pig by the Klaurius family. That was the moment where it all started.”
