Chapter 8: The Last Round

Time passed by so quickly, the match for the position of the alliance chairman finally reached its peak. The battles that previously felt so boring, at the top of this match I hope something interesting happens.

Cresh and Rias entered the arena after chanting for 15 minutes. Although this was the last round, they were still very energetic, this indicated that they had not fought seriously before.

“Who do you think will win this time?” ask Vany who is next to me.

“I don't know. The two of them had not fought seriously since, so I hesitated to guess who would win.” I answered without looking at him.

“It's rare that you say that.”

“I am not a god or a person who can see the future. So where might I know everything.”

“Hm.., you have a point too.” He's agreed.

As human beings, we cannot know everything. It is true that we are given the ability to think and try, but all of that is limited to something we can see and understand. There will be things that we cannot understand despite having researched it for many years. For example, humans cannot know what happens after death. Whether we will go to another world or be reincarnated into a different human being.

The fight between Cresh and Rias finally started. Rias as usual took out a few silver statues on her back then used them to attack Cresh. In response to the attack, Cresh attacked using a purple chain coming out from his back. The hand of the silver statue that attacked Cresh turned into a shield shape and blocked the purple chain attack.

Tang! Tang! Tang!

The sound of impact echoed from the impact of the purple chain and the silver shield. Cresh pulled back the chain and wrapped the chain in both hands. In an instant the chain turned into a purple-colored jaundice. The silver statues again attacked Cresh from the front with sword-shaped hands. Seeing that Cresh spread out both his hands.

As the statues got closer, the armour in Cresh's hands took out a purple wire wrapped around the statues so that it could not attack.

Rias jumped high in the air with a silver sword held by her hands that were overhead. He swung his sword from top to bottom as it got closer to Cresh. Suddenly the purple chains coming out from Cresh's back held the sword slash horizontally.

The sound of the impact this time sounded louder than the previous one. Rias jumped back. Not yet had Rias landed stably, Cresh directly threw the silver statues tied by her towards Rias.

Surprised by the impromptu attack, Rias took out a silver wing on her back. The wings seem bigger than their body size. He used those wings to cover the front of his body.

The silver statues that Cresh cast were successfully held back by Rias' silver wings. After rebuking the attack, Rias became a little shaky. Seeing that there was an opportunity, Cresh quickly attacked Rias with some purple chains. Rias lost her balance and ended up lying down due to the impulse from the attack of Cresh's purple chain.

Without wasting any time Cresh directly advanced to attack. As she got closer to Rias, her entire body was wrapped around the silver chains that came from the silver statues earlier. Cresh's movement was stifled, he couldn't bring out his mainstay purple chain because the entire part of his body, was wrapped by silver chains.

Rias reinserted her silver chain into her back then stood back up while pointing the silver sword at Cresh's face. From his actions it can be seen that he told Cresh to give up.

Their position remained the same for a while. Tensions began to mount so that no one could make a sound. Suddenly a purple chain emerged from Cresh's mouth but Rias calmly slashed it until it broke into two pieces. They keep their positions. After a while Rias finally released a silver chain wrapped around Cresh.

The fight ended, the people started cheering over Rias' victory. From the fight earlier I could see that actually their abilities were equal, but Rias' silver controlling power had the advantage of being able to be controlled remotely. While Cresh's purple energy manipulation power could only be used while still attached to the body.

“Wow was a great fight.” Vany comments after the fight.

“Yes you're right. From the fight earlier people will know the difference in their abilities with themselves.” My solute.

“Perhaps in this way our alliance will become more compact in the future.” He said that in a flat tone, I don't know the look on his face right now because I didn't notice it. But clearly, he was worried about something.
