[S2] Chapter 2: I'll Start Again

A beautiful garden behind the Northern City, I could see with these eyes. Everything in the place where I stand now is a vast field decorated with various flowers. I really did not expect that this self could see such a beautiful scenery as now.

For a moment I glanced at Vany who was staring straight ahead enjoying the beauty of the garden. Her long red hair decomposed so beautifully when buffeted by the gust of wind. And somehow, I subconsciously stared at him continuously.

"Kei ...," said Vany starting the conversation. "What if ....everything that has happened can be repeated? Are you gonna change it?"

A silly question, he already knew that it was impossible. There is no such thing as time repetition.

"I'm not gonna do anything." Not one bit I want to discuss the question. Therefore, I also replied with origin.

"You know, Kei." Vany was still looking straight ahead without even turning towards me. "Nothing is impossible if we try."

Yeah, that's true. But ... turning that time around is something that humans cannot do. In fact, with all my full strength, it is still unable to return to the past.

"I know what you're thinking, Kei."

This girl's a mind-reading machine, huh? He could always guess what I was thinking even though this self was wearing 'Poker Pace' which was a flat face technique with no expression. Using this technique, others will not be able to guess what we are thinking. However, the girl named Vany could easily break it.

"You can always guess, Vany." That one sentence already represents me who resigned to the situation.

The atmosphere of silence befell us, no other sound could be heard other than a gust of wind. The flowers began to sway because of the wind. However, never once did Vany and I start a conversation even though they were alone here.

"Until when will you be dissolved in your grief?" asked Vany to break the silence I felt earlier. "Didn't you make a plan?"

Why is this girl so horrible? He even knew I had a plan. I seem to have to be more careful with him. Because I still don't know if he's a partner or an enemy.

"Yes, I have made a plan" I said, "but I can't carry it out."

"Why don't you just give up and enjoy your days in peace?"

Enjoy the day peacefully? In this town? Is he kidding?

I raised my eyebrows in confusion. Not long after, Vany turned her eyes towards me. "Remember what you wanted to accomplish after doing such a heinous thing? Hasn't everything been accomplished?"

My original purpose for coming here wasn't for that. All I did was to prove whether the words written in the book were true. I just want to answer my curiosity. But why? Why did I finally feel all this?

The emptiness?

The void?

Is this the end I want to reach?

Nah! That's not true!

There's still something else I want. I want to make amends for all my mistakes.

I don't need emotions! I don't need sympathy either! All I need is a logical mind to destroy everything and turn it all in a better direction.

I turned my head slowly after reaffirming my resolve. The contents of these thoughts became more regular, and my feelings were once again eliminated.

"I'll be back!" I said slowly.
