Chapter 1 part 2

After the fight earlier, Cresh went straight inside the base to rest, while I gathered together with his friends.

We sat around a small campfire while making grilled corn. I'm welcome here because of Cresh's selfish request. He forced his friends to be friends with me. Therefore, they reluctantly, wanted to be my friends.

“Everything, I want to say something,” Vany said starting the conversation. “Because after this Kei will enter into the group, then it's good if we introduce ourselves to him.”

“Terussle.” The man who had previously drawn his sword at me, replied indifferently. “My name is Marten Star the strategist.”

“Oh.” I say with a bitch.

"What do you mean answer like that?” Marten shouted those words in these ears.

I ignored the screams of the man named Marten, then turned the other way. Moments later, two young twins came closer. Their bodies are small and short, with orange-colored hair and have the same style between the twin youths with each other.

I was confused as to how to distinguish them. Because the aura they gave off was also similar. Or it could be said, they were like one person being split into two.

The twins on the right said to me excitedly, “I'm Riki Pernandus the helper.”

“I Roki Pernandus the helper,” connect the other twins.

“OK, you already know my name.”

After that, they left without speaking again.

Tired of this introduction, I stood up and said, “Who I've appointed must give his name so that this introduction quickly ends.”

I pointed at the white-haired young man sitting next to the spear. And it seemed, he was the one who was about to attack me from above.

The girl yawned before finally answering. “I'm Alice Cheaster the complainer.”

Finally, the boring event was over. I went back to the place where I sat before. However, somehow Vany was quietly sitting next to me.

“Why didn't you ask my name too?” tanyakanya.

“Isn't your name Vany?”

“It turns out you remember. I'm the invisible Vany.” Vany smiled broadly.

I looked into his eyes fixedly. “That fake smile of yours cannot hide the emptiness emitted by your eyes. Because when I look into your eyes, my gut feeling says that you have a dark past, so you don't want to tell me your long name.”

“You and I are similar. Kei si face flat.”

Oh gosh. Why this girl gave me such an uncool nickname. However, never mind, it would be troublesome if I were to argue with him just because of that.

“Your eyes are full of emptiness, and as far as I can see, you seem to have lost someone who means the most in your life.”

“Only anyone who has experienced it will understand it." As I said that, Vany continued to stare at this face. "Ah well, you won, we are indeed a little similar.”

"Hehe, let me give you a little advice." He sighed for a moment, then continued, "please live your life and never stop hoping. Because it's the thing I've been doing all this time to survive. I thought you might be able to survive that way. And it is possible that the gaze of your eyes filled with emptiness can be filled with hope."

Vany left after giving the advice. From his words earlier, it can be concluded that he still continues to hope. However, I still don't understand why he still hopes. Because for me, hope is just something that hurts and that can rob me of everything I have. From then on, hope was erased from this heart.

After the boring assembly ended, I stayed in my seat and saw them all go to the empty house that was used as the headquarters.

When they all went inside, I put out the fire, then walked in the opposite direction. It was so dark tonight, after I extinguished the fire that was the source of the light. In the darkness of the night, my Night Vision Technique became active by itself.

I face up, then aim at the roof of a building, then jump up to be on it. In a fantasy world where everyone only gained one super ability, it must be extremely envious of me who can gain several super abilities at once. But, behind this privilege, there is a corresponding sacrifice.

Not wanting to think too deeply, I relaxed this body, then lay on the dirty floor looking at the stars. A quiet and peaceful night for a while I will enjoy it while I can. Because the boring days are coming to an end, and the really long and tense days begin after.

“Kukuku. May there be luck tomorrow.” I murmured softly as I thought about what would happen next.
