The Red Game's

The Red Game's
Chapter 5: The Decisive Choice

“Woi, you're a bunch of assholes. Die here in honor of our friend,” exclaimed one of the Dark Cloak members of the Aris Group.

After a dramatic story performed in memory of one of their dead friends. The group of dark robes and the group of Aris faced each other. This atmosphere had gotten better when the Chief of the Dark Cloak managed to calm his men who were about to go berserk.

This show is not interesting because of it. The Chief should not have calmed his men to a rampage. I think the bloodshed has been going on since. After all, there might be an obedient enemy when told to die.

“Oi oi oi. Are you serious? You want us dead? No kidding! Where may we want to, you idiot," cried Aris.

“Job ...”

The one who had told the Aris Group to die earlier, was provoked and began to lose his composure. He started to form a fireball in his right hand.

“Stop that, Kori.” The chairman again stopped the exciting moment. “Invading blindly it will only result in defeat. For now we have to calm down and think through the plan.”

“What did you say? I'm disappointed to think of you as the Chief of the Dark Cloak. At a time like this, you don't even feel sympathy for your friend's death at all. Let me go, if you don't want to fight. Let me finish them off alone.”

“Do you not understand our situation?” The Chief raised his tone. He was upset to hear his friend's answer.

“Try thinking with a cool head. We've been outnumbered, and we don't know anything about them either.”

“Whisper you, asshole.”

Strictly the member of the dark robe called Kori, defied the command of the chairman. It's pretty good. I did not expect that any member of the dark robe would dare to oppose its chairman.

“Hm, have you guys finished fighting huh?” ask Aris.

“Shut up, damn.”

Kori throws fireballs at Aris's group. Seeing that, the other Dark-cloak Groups began to attack as well. The fight finally started.

Aris retreated, then told one of his friends to resist the attack. I wonder just how great the person who was told to withstand that many attacks was. Maybe he would sacrifice his friend to survive. Yeah, whatever it is I just need to see it.

The person who was told to resist the attack, stood in front of his friends, then spread his hands forward. He did the horses to prepare for the push. I feel no stranger to the horses that do this. Maybe he has that ability.

I'm mixing with Aris's group. Then the light appeared forming half a bubble with us in it. The light managed to protect us from attack. As expected, he has the ability to use light. I can't believe anyone has this ability here. I was lucky to see it in person.

“As usual, you are so great, Marvin,” praise Aris to the person who just resisted the attack.

“You're too complimentary, Aris. Just make a barrier like this, anyone can do it.” Friendly, the man named Marvin humbled down on Aris.

It's a surprise. This guy, Marvin. Despite his great ability, he was still not big-headed. But, I can't see any spirit or anything from him. He just did what Aris told him to do. The reason he did so was only to be able to remain in the group.

Aris's group split up. I stayed quiet at my place. When looking ahead, a red colored liquid colored the grass. The five people who were members of the Dark Cloak, were lying on the ground covered in wounds. One of them was the one who triggered the attack. And there was one person still standing there with a lightning sword in hand.

So far, I've had a few surprises, but it's a big surprise. With a lightning sword in both hands and an evil smile upon seeing the five members of the Dark Cloak lying with wounds.

Among the Dark Cloak Group, it was realized that there was another traitor. This traitor was even worse than Aris. As the person his friends trusted the most, the Chief betrayed the Dark Cloak.

This betrayal of the Chief was really sudden. Who would have thought that he would have been betrayed. I don't know why he did this. As the most trusted person, it should be enough to keep him from betraying his friends.

“Wah, wow, wow. It's a big surprise, Arya. I didn't think you'd betray your friends' trust. You really are an unpredictable person, yes. All this time I never thought you'd be a traitor like this. Are you scared after seeing one of my friend's powers and deciding to join us despite being a traitor?” said Aris.

I can understand why Aris could be so shocked to see the sudden betrayal done by the Dark Cloak Chief named Arya. It could be said that what happened was not unreasonable at all.

“Hahaha.” Arya laughing. “You didn't realize it, Aris. I gave you so many pointers. I'm disappointed in you.”

“Hah? What do you mean?”

“I've been intending to be a traitor from the beginning. That'sallthatis. But you're so stupid that you don't know my lead.”

Since early? He had planned it from the beginning?

So far I've started to understand what the clues are.

His first clue was when he was negotiating with Aris. He already knew the plan that Aris was going to execute. But strangely, he did not do a deterrent by separating the Group of Dark Robes. In fact, it seems like he let Aris' plan go smoothly.

The second was when he devised a plan to destroy the barrier. It is based on my theory. The moment he saw his friend attack the barrier, he most likely already knew of its strength. He wanted to make his friends continue to attack the barrier until the last blood point. And then finish them there. But it didn't work.

Maybe that's the clue he said. Aris seems to be thinking about it too.

Even though I can think of the intended clue, I still do not understand the reason Arya who became the Dark Cloak Chief was betrayed. Just the information I have now is not enough to know why. I'd better watch the conversation between the two of them first.

“Did you finally find my clue, Aris?” ask Arya.

“More or less I already know,” replied Aris.

“So, how about we ally? I think more colleagues would be better. Right?”

“Only increasing one person will not mean much.”

Aris implied that if it only increased by one person, it was useless. So he indirectly asked Arya, does she have any other colleagues?

“You are good at playing words, Aris. If indeed one person is not enough, then I just need to call a few of my friends.”

Three members of the Dark Cloak were determined and stood behind Arya. I feel very lucky not to be in this group. Because it will be very troublesome if you have to deal with traitors.

“Ck, tsk, tsk. I didn't expect there to be many traitors in this group. But what makes me wonder, why are you two traitors?”

“Because we were betrayed.”

“ Betrayed?”

So this is what the name is, a traitor arises from being betrayed. I can understand their reasons now.

“Yes. In order for the Dark Cloak Group to continue to survive, they made us as bait. We lost our closest friend. So, is it wrong if we are betrayed?”

“So so. You may want to take revenge on the Dark Cloak. But don't get me wrong just.”

“Hah? What does mean—”

“Marvin, now!”

The sword of light attacked Arya and her group from above.

“Red barrier, activate!!” exclaiming Aris.

The red barrier forms a triangle, then confines Arya. The barrier was created by Marvin by borrowing power from his friends.

This just confuses me. There was no benefit for Aris and his group to do this. They will even get losses. Aris was supposed to work together, and after it was over, she finished them off.

“It turns out that my guess has been true,” Aris muttered.

A guess? What the hell does that mean? Does this mean that from the beginning Aris was only targeting Arya? Thinking about everything that happened today just made the head hurt.

>Boom<

The red barrier that the Aris Group had made, was shattered. From there, four people walked out led by Arya with a lightning sword in her hand. On his right was a man with a steel spear and a girl with red flames on his right hand. Then to the left of Arya, a man walked leisurely while putting both his hands in his pocket. However, there were many swords hovering behind that person.

“Haih .. I did not expect this barrier you guys made so fragile,” taunted Arya.

“Cih .... How could you possibly break that barrier so easily?”

“Didn't I tell you, that your barrier is very fragile.”

“Everyone attack! Don't let them live!” exclaiming Aris.

I started to stay away so as not to be affected by their fight. It will actually be very interesting to watch the show at close range. But it will be troublesome if it is hit by an attack. And as an audience, I can't interfere with the storyline.

I sat down and leaned against the wall of an old building. This place does not seem to be affected by the attack.

I think this is a suitable place. From here I could clearly see their fierce fight. But unfortunately I couldn't hear what they were saying during the fight. Yeah, no problem anyway.
