Max POV

I woke up and no one in my place woke up. Where are these people?

Leah!

I rushed to find Lea. But the place was empty and filled with white, and I didn't even know where I was? And how do I find Lea or Rue? What is this place exactly?

Anthem landed and walked beside me, "Hi." Sweepings.

And that surprised me, "Ha..hai! Ah it's you! Huh! I swallowed wasting my heart's work just because of you." My heart's a little upset.

Anthem pursed his lips, "Don't be like that! We're just two here." Anthem.

"Where are we?" I asked Anthem.

"Last station." Answer Anthem briefly.

"Huh? Whatchu mean? The station? Whereofwhere? Why is there no one else but us? Where's Lea?" Tanyaku.

Anthem looked at me, "Are you asking or are you going to play the circus? The group's asking you a question, Max. One-one dong. Even though I'm an angel I have limitations." Answer Anthem.

Just this time I met an angel and thanks to Anthem I can think that angels are funny and can be friends with.

Then he sat on a long chair or bench. Anthem patted the chair next to her hinting me to sit next to her.

"Sit. Aren't you tired of walking? I'm tired of seeing you." Order Anthem.

"I want to save Lea instead of playing with you." Tukasku.

"Ah right too. I'm at work." Anthem said smilingly.

"Explain where this is?" My toot.

"This is a Max station. The station of your life is therefore only you and me. I brought you here." Anthem began to explain,

"This station serves two purposes. The first goal will take you back and the second will take you there." Reciprocity.

I scrunched my forehead and thought, "If this is the station where the train is?" Askaqua.

"When you decide, your train will come." Anthem answered while pulling out a nail mind and started thinking about it.

"What does a train mean to go there?" I asked again.

Then he looked at me, "Max, your name's not on my notebook. It was Leah's name that was listed there." Anthem

All my emotions just burst out, "What? What do you mean, Anthem? Whatchu mean? I told you, I'll replace him! Why is it so hard to grant my request! Anthem! Take me there now! Return Lea!" My tears just came down quickly.

My strength seemed to evaporate just like that, I fell down in my tears, "Lea...Leah!" My tears.

Anthem fell silent and before long he spoke again, "Lea changed it. That day, Leah went to the Lord. He negotiated with Him by exchanging the time of your death for the time of his death." Anthem nodded, "The ruler gives you one condition. If you can carry Leah's soul in seven minutes' brackets you'll both be safe, but if you fail in the allotted time, I'll cut the thread of your life." Anthem explained.

"What about Lea if I fail?" I asked him again.

"Because you've made the exchange, then I'll take Lea as soon as you fail." Answer Anthem.

I nodded in understanding, "Alright. As long as Lea can live I'm willing to do anything." Said mean.

Arriving at Purgatory I was greeted with a groaning and a shriek of pain. The atmosphere is very gloomy and hot.

"Lea saved you here. Now it's your turn to bring Leah upstairs." Anthem. Anthem's voice sounded just as gloomy as this place and now I understand why Anthem was knocked into an Angel of Death.

Anthem picked up a long, glittering thread and a sparkling pair of scissors, "This is the thread of your life, you only have 7 minutes. Lea was able to get out safely back then due to Rue's protection spell and her magic wand but you're just an ordinary human Max." Anthem.

"Are you willing?" Ask Anthem.

I nodded, "Yes, I can." There was no doubt in my voice.

Anthem asked me to dip one of my fingers into Purgatory, and

It was like burning and very hot. It's hideous!

I'm scared and damn Anthem can smell my fear, "You want to back off, Max? Your heart screams at me." Anthem said with a horrible smile.

I couldn't answer it, my head kept thinking because my heart and brain were at war. Which one of them should I win?

I swallowed the salivaki and gazed into the bubbling Purgatory letting out a hot explosion,

"Anthem, count your time now I'll start going in there and look for Leah." Say steady.
