I See The Light

The LEa POV

I felt my body heavy and I floated on the surface of that Purgatory River. Where did the souls that attracted me go? Have they left me?

I saw a dazzling beam of light all around me, and I realized it was driving away the souls who wanted to approach me.

At first glance I saw Rue trying to reach me, "Lea!" Bubbles came out of Rue's mouth.

I reached for Rue's hand, but it was hard. Though our distance was very close but Rue's hand looked far away.

Rue continued to reach out for my hand, and

He grabbed me and pulled me,

Rue immediately brought me to the surface and laid me on the edge of Purgatory.

"I managed to take him, Anthem. Don't cut the damn thread of life!" I heard Rue talking to Anthem.

I changed my position, "What are you going to do Anthem?" My toot.

"Well, you're alive." Pekik Anthem was a bit disappointed.

"What do you expect? You expect me to die? How wicked are you as an angel!" Tukasku.

"And I'm the Angel of Death, it's only natural that I would expect someone's death. If no one dies, then what is my job? I could have spent time watching or walking on the beach, but I like to be busy." Answer Anthem.

"But that doesn't mean you're expecting someone else's death!" Sahutku upset.

"I'm going inside again, I've seen Max. I hope he doesn't move." I added.

Rue forbade me, "What if you're attracted by those souls again?" Ask Rue.

"I know how to stop them. With light." My answer.

Rue frowned, "Light?" Ask Rue.

I nodded, "Yes, the light. When you look for me at the bottom, you light your staff and make the souls stay away from me as well as you. No soul comes near you, Rue." My solute.

Without waiting for long, I went back into that Purgatory.

Again, the fire was hissing as I went into it,

I started to light my wand and look for Max. I've memorized where Max was.

Whenever there are souls coming to me, I will point my staff at them. The sounds of screams and screams and howls were heard by me.

The deeper I dive into the Fire and the hotter it is in there. I was looking for Max where I first saw him but Max wasn't there.

I turned my way around and started it back from the vortex in the middle.

After walking around, I saw a shadow of a human that had not paled, I quickly pulled it.

Sreth!

Blup up!

"Amkkhh!" There was the sound of anger from those souls.

They're chasing me! Their extremely melodious voice quickly filled my ears, "Aakkkhh! Aaakkkhh!"

I sped up the swing of my hand, and cast a protection spell for me and Max.

I still feel them pulling my leg.

"Hhmmmpphh!" I tried to wake Max up but my efforts didn't show any results.

All right, this is my last attempt. I'll push him because I can't take his soul with me.

I gave myself a cue, though,

I pushed Max's soul with all my might and spouted fire from my wand as a sign for Rue to save Max immediately.

Max is already floating on the surface, now I will fight with these languishing souls!

I raised my fist to one of the souls that pulled my hand.

My legs did not stay still, I kicked them as hard as I could. I need to get out of here because the hotter it feels, the more I'm gonna die here.

Not very funny, Max survived but I didn't. Then who will be the main character if I die right? I would haunt the writer if he made my life line like that and replaced me with Eleanor as the lead.

In the midst of my busy fight with those consecrated souls, suddenly a very bright light appeared out of nowhere,

The light sent the souls that surrounded me crashing and away.

I quickly swam to the surface,

"Huaahhhh!" I adjusted my breath as I arrived at the surface. Rue helped pull my hand, and I was lying next to Max's soul.

"Hey the disrespectful Angel of Death! Now what do I have to do?" My heart, as soon as I saw Anthem sneaking away from us.

He turned around and smiled widely, "You have a very good instinct Lea." He said, "then I would love to..."

"Thank you for your help downstairs. That big light is from you, right?" My toot.

Only Anthem could frighten the human soul with its dazzling light.

"Where do you know that?" Ask Anthem.

"Who else can make that kind of light but you." My answer.

Anthem looked at me with her sparkling and shining eyes, "Ah, Lea. I like you so much and want to quickly take you with me." Legally.

"Abroad! Quickly tell me how after this?" I asked Anthem.

Rue had already carried Max's sleeping soul into his arms.

"Died in the reunion to his body. Just like you put origami paper on your apple tree. It's that easy." Answer Anthem.

Me and Rue nodded, "Alright, I go first. Thank you for the adventure today. May we not see each other again." My legow

Anthem laughed, "It's impossible. Tomorrow afternoon I have promised your father to have tea together at Lady Titipati's place." Answer Anthem.

"I'll make sure tomorrow I'm back on earth. And Anthem." I cried, waving hands to him.

We'll get down to our place. When we arrived, King Wren and Queen Edwina were waiting for us.

My mother immediately hugged me, Rue kept walking closer to Max's body and then very slowly, Rue fused Max's soul into his body.

I waited for him with feelings I couldn't explain.

My mother and father were standing behind us. My father re*mas my shoulder, "He'll be back Lea. Sure." Father say.

I nodded back, "What if he doesn't come back?" I doubt.

"He'll be back. Max is not a weak man, he is quite brave. I appreciate that." Father's law assured me.

I held Max's hand, "Wake Max up, I'm waiting for you." I wish.

Soon my prayers were granted. Max slowly blinked his eyes and returned my hand, "Where am I? Am I in heaven?" Ask Max.

I hugged him, "You're not dead, Max." My solute. Max tightened my arms.

"I met a handsome Death Angel, do you know that? Even when I walked with him, I was afraid that you might fall in love with him." Max.

I laughed, "Stupid! If I fell in love with her, I wouldn't come down to earth. Too bad you haven't seen her real face yet." My answer.

Max smiled, "I know you'll definitely talk like that" Max replied.

"When you get shot I realize that I love you then when I get here and meet your father, I'm ready to replace my life with yours. I don't want to lose you." Max says

"You know, I saw a lot of magic light when I was out of nowhere. And I saw you, and then I thought about whether I was dreaming because I felt like I was dead. It turns out you really exist and I'm not dead!" Excited Max added with excitement and full of haru flavor.

Max hugged me again, "Thank you Lea for giving me the light of my life." Said again. Then he hugged me.

"Ehem! EHEM!" A heavy and large throbbing sound interfered with our cuddling activities.

"Bec...King Wren. Your Majesty, I didn't mean to..." Max stammered.
