Promises

Max POV

"I keep your father's promise, so I ask you please follow me or my life drift. I still want to marry Lea and have a family so follow my orders!" My voice confirmed to Leah when we had just descended back to earth.

"Yes, Mafia lord." Answer Lea.

I could only shake my head at the answer. Arriving at my residence we were greeted by Eleanor and Nelson.

Since when do they know each other?

"Lea, go back to the room. I have something to take care of for a moment. And Rue please take care of him, don't run away." My orders to Rue.

I walked over to Eleanor and Nelson.

"Our man has arrived. Let's continue our conversation." Nelson.

"This is my house. Please come in." My law takes over. Nelson pulls his lips down and lets Eleanor get inside first.

"So?" My toot.

"Eleanor came first, this smart lady answered all my doubts, Max about your new Lea. She's not your wife, but she's your wife." Nelson said he was embracing Eleanor.

"Then? Where's problem?" I started to get uncomfortable.

"Your deal, Max." Indict Eleanor.

"What do you mean?"

"I'm sure you know very well about our agreement, Max." Eleanor again.

I never forgot that promise, only after I met Lea, I felt that the agreement had already vanished. Eleanor isn't Lea, that's what I love.

"I remember the deal." My answer was honest in the end.

"You've denied it, Max. And I demand your promise to be fulfilled soon." Eleanor.

Nelson nodded and inexplicably smiled and looked very happy. I don't know what makes him happy.

"alright. Stay here and don't come out." My heart goes out to Eleanor.

"I ask you to treat me like you treated Leah. Take her out, walk downtown, eat together, or just hang out at an ice cream shop." Eleanor Pinta.

I smiled, "Lea is not my wife. Clearly different." I answered.

"Explain where the difference is!" The question was not from Eleanor but from Nelson.

"You don't have to interfere!" Tukasku.

"Me and Eleanor are now friends. So, I support him." Answer Nelson casually.

"The difference is that I just fulfilled my promise to Elanor while with Lea, I really enjoyed every second with her. That's the difference." My answer.

And I just realized that Lea was starting to be special to me, Lea was no longer an ordinary woman to me. Even just remembering that fact I smiled to myself at this moment.

Eleanor stood up and slapped me,

"Conscious Max. Your promise is your debt!" Eleanor.

I still smiled as I looked at this woman in front of me, "I told you, stay here like you used to. I'm trying to fulfill my promise, Eleanor. But I'm sorry, I can't let Lea out of this house because I've made a promise to her, too." My heart and see it seriously.

After that I rushed to my room but Nelson held me back, "What about me?" Ask Nelson.

"What's your problem?" I asked him.

"I want to invite you to work together. Sit down, Max." Nelson said as he pointed at the chair in front of him with his head.

I took my breath and sat down where he had shown me, "Hurry up." Sahutku tired.

"I want us to be one group. You're still gonna be Don, Max. I signed myself up to be an underboss. You look? I'm humbling myself just for you, Max. How's it?" Nelson.

"Your father is crazy, Nelson. I can't." Refused it. Of course, I have a lot of family to protect here. Merging the territory will make my position vulnerable, of course I refuse.

"We can defeat those obscure syndicates together. And again, imagine the taxes, Don." Nelson started to persuade me.

I looked at him, "I'm not interested. I'm sorry I'm so tired right now." My heart and stand up.

Eleanor followed me, "What did you just do with Leah until you got tired?" Ask.

"I'm happy with your question. Of course we fucked all night till this morning." I replied smiling and leaving the annoyed Eleanor.

The LEa POV

That night Max and I slept in his room as usual. What is unusual is that Max seemed very tired and so met with Eleanor and Nelson he immediately fell asleep. Did he walk into the kingdom on that cloud? We fly and we do not walk. Weak people on this earth.

"Eenngh.."

Max suddenly fidgets in his sleep, his sweat beginning to drench his entire body. I approached him, "Max." Call me gently.

Grep

Max caught my hand. What is going on in his subconscious? Usually Rue knows about spells that can dive into dreams.

Max's hand grip was getting stronger so it felt like it was grabbing me.

"max. Awake." I tried to wake him up.

I gently rubbed his chest, "Max, wake up Max." Sahut whispering.

"Max!" I said louder.

Max gasped and opened his eyes, he hugged me tightly. And I think she's crying. I returned his embrace and gently stroked his back just to make Max calm again.

"I'm sorry. I woke you up, huh?" Ask Max.

I nodded, "I woke you up. Looks like there's something you're damning and can't get out of." My toot.

Max nodded, "Forget it." He said and went back to sleep.

"Please wait here I'll ask Rue for a spell candle." My solute.

But Max shook his head again, "I just need you to accompany me here. Then stay by my side." Max Pinta.

"Just now. I'll be back here again. If you're afraid you can wait for me." I got out of Max's bed.

Max held my hand back, "Lea please." Pinta Max again. And this time he pulled me into his arms.

I hope Rue knows what I need right now.

The next day I woke up with Eleanor looking at me sharply.

"Max! Awake up!" Tukas Eleanor raised a bull to wake Max up.

I held him down, "Let me wake him up. She cried all night and could not sleep. Understand Eleanor." I whispered and dragged Eleanor out of the room.

"I don't care if you're ready but be nice. Have pity Max, he really didn't sleep. We're best friends, so I hope you can understand that." My speech.

"I decided not to be friends with you." Eleanor said sharply.

If Eleanor doesn't want to be friends with me anymore, I won't get a salary from her.

"Don't talk like that Elanor. How come you've been in my life and so have I, right?" Sahutku again.

Eleanor brushed off my hand, "From this moment on don't know each other, stay away from Max! I'll take care of it because I'm his wife." Tukas Eleanor.

I looked at him annoyed. Why should we break up friendships? I didn't do anything with Max. I knocked on Rue's room.

"Rue. I'm in ya." My heart and open the door to Rue's room.

"I can see everything. Lady Lily gave me the crystal ball and I can monitor you." He said his face was red.

I shut my mouth, "So you know about last night? The whole night Max hugged me do you know that too?" I asked Rue.

Rue turned his face away, "Of course." He said, "and for a while stay away from Eleanor. He had malicious intentions toward you and Max." Rue clarified again.

"What do you mean?" I asked because there was no way Eleanor would mean anything to me or Max. I'd support him if he had malicious intentions toward Nelson.

"I don't know for sure. But now stay away temporarily from those earthlings. For Max, I'll be bouncing it from afar every night." Rue Say.

I looked at Max's quiet room, usually the door to Max's room was always open and now closed. Will I always see that closed door?

I held my chest, why is it painful? Later I will ask Rue for a potion.

I hope Max is okay there.
