The LEa POV

"Why do you have to erase me Rue?" Tukasku. I was very upset with Rue. When Max came to me, Rue asked me to hide and erase Max's memory of me.

"What is a pearl? Your water, right? He approached you this time just for your tears! He's a mafia, Lea! You can be kidnapped and made to cry all day until your tears run out, after which you will be thrown away." Sahut Rue's.

I thought about Rue's words, there's a point in Rue's words as well. Because Max was back in time before I met him. I didn't know how Max was before I met him, but his gaze changed.

"Would we just go back, Rue?" Ask Vivi.

Rose nodded in agreement, as did Rue but I shook my head, "I don't want to go back! I still want to be here." Tukasku.

"For what?" Ask Rue.

"Lea, do you know that Max promised your father to protect you?" Rue continued asking. I'm nodding.

"And you know, I'd be Max's replacement if he failed. I thought Max failed to take care of you yesterday." Sahut Rue's.

"I want to return Max the way he was with me and he still has one debt to me." Yakapkua. I remembered Max's promise he hadn't had time to say and I'd charge him.

"Can't you just forget Max's debt? What's so big?" Ask Rose.

I shook my head, "Can't." Sahutku. Because Max told me he was going to tell me what happened to his past. Not that I want to know but I think it's a promise and a promise is a debt.

"I want to go back. If we go back, who will you be living with?" Ask Vivi worriedly.

"No need to worry about me. I can stay here or I'll work with Tom at the ice cream shop." My answer.

"What would you do without us? I'm worried about you, Lea." Said Rose.

I smiled, "I can live here. I already know how to make money and keep it as you teach." I answered him with pride.

"How is Rue?" I heard Rose ask in a whisper to Rue.

Rue replied to him as slowly as possible so I couldn't hear him. What are they planning?

For a few days they forced me to come back but I still refused. And that day I went to Tom to ask him if I could work there.

When the day came for them to come back to be honest I was very sad and I felt alone. Oh yes, when we come back we should not be seen by others as much as possible. Because it would be strange if you saw a human flying with wings?

"I'll come back down to be with you after I take Vivi and Rose up there." Sahut Rue's.

I nodded, and before they left I hugged them one by one. Their only message to me was so I could hold back my emotions.

I moved to Tom's place to work there. Tom had prepared a place for me to stay so I was safe and again I could spy on Eleanor and Max.

"Hi Tom." My broom. I arrived at Tom's place as the day began to turn dusk, and I saw Tom resting on his rocking chair.

"Hi beautiful boy. I've been waiting for you from noon. Come inside." Tom told me to come in and sit with him.

Tom's face looked very tired, naturally Tom managed this tavern alone.

Tom laughed, "Hahaha.sit here first anyway while there are no visitors. You want some ice cream?" Ask Tom.

I used to shake my head, I always wanted to but now I work here and if I want ice cream I have to pay for it.

"Free to you as a thank you. Cinnamon as usual with a sprinkling of chocolate chips on it how?" Tom persuaded me and in the end I gave up on Tom's offer.

Before long I had already enjoyed cinnamon ice cream with chocolate chips and strawberries on it.

"How's it going here Tom?" I asked him. Oh yeah, only Tom knows me and Eleanor but Tom doesn't know where I'm from.

Tom played his lips forward and tilted it, then clucked, "Ck, things are getting weird. Mr. Max made a new policy. He increased taxes three times. Just imagine. It's not with security money, and come here..." Tom said and suddenly whispered, "Do you know that Mr. Max now allows Mr. Nelson to overhaul all the systems here? Mr. Nelson's policy is very contrary to Mr. Max's but Mr. Max can't do anything or doesn't care much about it." His whisper.

I asked Tom, "Why are you whispering Tom?"

"Because if any soldier hears, you will be shot on the spot. The soldier belonged to Mr. Nelson. Not to mention Lady Eleanor, because she's Mr. Max's wife she refused to pay for everything she bought." Tom continued his story.

I was astonished to hear it, "It's awful Tom. How can we live a quiet and peaceful life if things are like that?" I said responding.

Tom nodded, "Be our leader, Lea. You have a fair, kind and courageous nature. Voice our voices." Tom's suggestion was surprising.

I shook my hands, "No! Nah! I can't!" I refused, of course. My father and Rue would go berserk if I let go again just because of emotions.

Tom took a deep breath and leaned his body against the back of the rocking chair, "Have you had dinner? Will you eat with me?" Ask Tom.

I nodded, "Thank you. I'm so happy." I answered.

The next day I helped Tom make ice cream and moved it to an ice cream stand to sell.

"You want to try that ice cream?" Ask Tom.

"What's this?" I asked Tom.

"Hahaha, that's durian. The fragrance is amazing, you can see once I split the fruit. It smells, wow." Tom replied enthusiastically.

Tom took a little spoonful of durian ice cream for me. And as soon as I tried it, the taste of the ice cream was completely different from the smell.

"It's weird." My solute. Tom laughed at me.

By noon, the visitors began to arrive and filled the tavern. I helped Tom serve visitors or become a cashier. Tom's a flexible guy, he's not very demanding. Tom let me work as I could.

When lunchtime came, I was accompanying Tom to lunch until a woman entered the tavern. And casually open the ice cream storage.

"Sorry we're temporarily closed." Tukanku while holding the lid of the ice cream storage that he was trying to find.

After I finished preparing the ice cream for Eleanor's order, I drove her to Max's house.

"Eleanor!" My heart as soon as the guards let me in.

"Eleanor!" I called him again in a louder voice.

Eleanor came out upset, "What the fuck are you! Call me Miss Eleanor! Respect me!" The drill.

"You can't respect others, so why should I respect you?" My solute. This time I won't explode, I won't let emotions rule me.

Eleanor looked furious at my reply, she took her short-barreled shotgun slid in her stocking and pointed it at me.

"Call my name properly and I'll forgive you." He said half whispered.

I smiled fearlessly, "Do it. You have to know how to respect others." Sahutku calm.

Eleanor cocked her rifle, "I'm sorry! Apologize to me!" The drill.

"I won't apologize to you!" Sahutku firmly.

"Well if that's what you want." He said he grinned, revealing a row of tiny, rat-like teeth.

"Prepare low women! I'll show you who the real controller of your life is!" Tukas Eleanor was terrible.

I didn't back off, I didn't close my eyes, I won't apologize, and I won't shy away from it. The protection spell I cast I hope to protect me.

"Max what are you doing!" Eleanor was hysterically screaming.

I saw Max standing in front of me and receiving the bullets for me.

"Max..." I was drowning to see Max covered in blood. Did Eleanor and I close our eyes until you didn't see that Max was coming and blocking all the bullets?

My tears fell again without me holding back, and soon my tears turned into pearl grains.

"Pearl? Is that from you?" Eleanor asked a dropped pearl. I looked up at my face and I saw a terrible grin from Eleanor's face.
