Time's Up

Max POV

"What's calling me Max? You missed me?" Suddenly Anthem appeared in front of me.

I looked towards Lea who was still fast asleep beside me,

"Follow me! Don't be noisy in my room and Lea will wake up!" Tukanku and dragged Anthem out.

"Hey! Oi! Max's! I'm an angel of death, at least appreciate me a little and don't pull me like that. Are you not afraid of me?" Ask Anthem.

I shook my head, "No. Why am I afraid of you." I said relax, "sit down. What do you want to drink?" Ask him.

Anthem holds his chest, "Arrgghh, Max. You hurt my pride." Anthem said grievingly then with a stagger he dropped himself on the sofa.

I shook my head, "Is it that painful to be an angel?" Manya concerned.

Anthem shook his hand, "That's it. Let's forget about that. Thanks for the tea." Anthem said sipping the warm tea I made for him.

"It's a shame I don't have any snacks. Usually Lea always gives me a snack and we both enjoy it." My solute.

I realized, without Lea, my life would have felt very lonely and tonight would have been a long time. Leah was just tired and asleep.

"Thank God that your Max is just an ordinary man, sinful, not too handsome, not too smart too and just plain to get the perfect love of a perfect woman." Anthem.

I threw a pillow at Anthem, "What do you mean, Anthem. Even if you're an angel if you hurt me with your words I can take you in a fuss!" Tukasku.

But it's true what Anthem said, ah I'm so sad to remember that.

"Have you started following me?" I asked Anthem.

"Eitherway. It's not written your names but I'm just asked to follow you and take one of you for me to carry. Terrible right?" Anthem explained.

Anthem listened to me carefully while nodding, "This is an interesting love story. Didn't you guys think of living together in peace forever?" Ask Anthem.

I let out a long sigh, only this time did I find a death angel who was quite stupid.

"ouch! Why did you hit me?" I asked Anthem who suddenly hit me in the head with his notebook.

"Your mind must be cleared immediately, Max!" The drill.

I laughed, "Hahaha.I'm sorry. I was thinking like that because you know we've been foreseen." Miserable.

"The prediction is just a prophecy, don't trust it too much. Rest assured you will live happily ever after in good health." Anthem.

My face felt slapped by the words of the Angel of Death who was beside me now and was commenting on my homemade cammomile tea which he thought was less sweet.

"Anthem, thank you." Sincerely.

Anthem nodded and gave his smile. It turns out he was more scary when he smiled.

"Max, two o'clock in the afternoon." Anthem.

After telling me about that obscure time, Anthem disappeared and left behind a feather from his wing.

The next day, I thought of Anthem's remarks that night. He said I can't believe the prophecy just like that but the stupid angel predicted me about the time of my death. I unconsciously shook my own head.

"Max, how are you and how is Lea?" Ask Rue.

I pointed to myself, "I? I'm good." My answer.

Anthem followed me back that day, with a big smile he asked to make one more cup.

"Hey, what happened the day after tomorrow?" I asked him while giving a cup of cammomile tea to Anthem.

"There's nothing just that I'll bring one of you." Anthem.

I'm not afraid at all, which I'm afraid of if anything happens to Lea. I went to my room and woke Leah up.

"Hi, are you awake?" I asked when I saw Lea standing in front of the window.

Lea smiled and hugged me, "Today they will manage to meet you, Max. We can change this without any bloodshed."

I looked outside, "Did I just take them in?" I asked Lea.

"Good idea. I'll take the spell out." Said Lea.

I nodded, "May. Now?" My toot.

Lea looked at me, "When you're ready." The answer.

"What's Max?" Ask Brad from the ground.

"Do you remember your promise?" I asked him.

Brad laughed, "No need to talk weird, Max. I told you I'd age with you guys." Said.

"I just want to leave Lea to you. Take care of him and be prepared from today until the day after tomorrow. If I die, go as far as possible, change your identities. For those two things I've prepared." I said calmly.

I don't know why my heart feels so calm like nothing happened.

"Absolutely you're Max!" Tukas Brad's.

"Come on. We're less than 24 hours away." My speech.

There was a strange silence between us for quite a while, until Brad finally said, "Well, I believe you. But suppose I fall in love with Lea, you can't be mad." Said Brad.

I snorted laughing, "Please. Make her happy and never forget me." My answer.

After talking to Max, I approached Lea. I held her tightly in my arms.

"Open up." My heart goes out to Lea to unlock her protection spell.

Lea nodded, then she swung her starry staff with one move.

"Owns of Rue are quite powerful. But at least they can get close to this house and you can say hello." Lea said it explained.

I prepared to meet them but Leah pulled me, and she gently kissed me.

"We want to meet Max!" I heard one of them talking.

I approached them, "I'm Max." I said and hurried to meet them.

"Come in." My law let them in.

If I could do it peacefully, I would choose that path.

They came in, not all.

A little guy looked at me sharply.

Yep! He is the only remaining descendant of the family I finished off at the time. The rest may be Nelson's followers.

"What do you need to see me?" My friendliness. I entertained them like honored guests in my house.

"You remember me?" Ask the little guy.

I nodded, "Of course. The boy in the photo was hiding when I came." My answer.

"I'm not hiding Max. I'm waiting! I'm waiting for the right moment to finish you." Said calm. His eyes look terrible. That's how my eyes used to look, eyes want to kill.

"And now is the right time to kill me?" My toot.

The little man smirked, "My target wasn't you, Max. But the one you love. I want you to see and see firsthand what I feel. And I want you to know what it's like to be me then." Said again.

My emotions this time were provoked, "Your bastard!" My speech. When I wanted to beat him there was a hand that was very grasping my arm and holding me back from moving.

Lea suddenly came and served them drinks and snacks, "Please eat." Speech permitting.

The little man looked at Lea with a wild look. I clenched my hands, let out all my emotions there.

Leah did not leave, instead of leaving she chose to sit beside me.

"What's your name?" Lea asked the little-faced man.

"Hunter." The answer with a creepy grin.

"I know what you want and I'll give myself up." Lea said.

I turned towards Lea, "Speak what you LEA are!" Tukasku.

Hunter smiled, "I know your secret, beautiful lady. Nelson told me before his death." Sahut Hunter is now very interested in Lea.

I pointed my rifle at Hunter, "Stop looking at him, asshole!" My solute.

As soon as four to five guns pointed at me, "You're up against me, Max?" Hunter asked grinning.

I saw Anthem already hovering above us, is this the time? Am I going to die today?
