Keenan rubbed a circle of tears that had dripped on his cheeks while continuing to move quickly regardless of the screams of Nadine who kept calling him from afar. Not Keenan does not care about the wife who continues to pursue him, but he is not ready to look at his wife's face directly let alone imagine the reality that might happen in front of him.

The Flashback

"I want to do a press conference" Keenan said as he fell asleep on Nadine's lap.

"I want to introduce my wife to the public".

Keenan smiled looking at the wife's face.

"Are you serious?" Ask Nadine then.

"Of course I'm serious, baby. I've been planning this for a long time but it's always been delayed and the timing is not right. Hence, I have asked Jimmy to arrange everything from now on. So I want you to prepare from now on because I'll have our wedding reception after I get home from Makassar later".

"It has to be!" Nadine is back.

"Yes should dong dear. Everyone should know about our marriage because I don't want anyone to approach you because your status is single. I don't want another man approaching my wife". Keenan said as he stroked Nadine's cheek.

Nadine was silent for a moment, then said again.

"Can we postpone it for a while?".

"Why? Don't you want people to know about our marital status?" Keenan sounded disappointed at the wife's request.

"It's not so! I also want to reveal our marriage to everyone, but I don't think it's time yet. I'm just not ready to meet a lot of people, let alone people who will be guests at our reception are mostly my colleagues. I just wasn't ready to face any of their reactions when I found out I was the wife of the hospital director they were working for" Nadine explained.

Keenan's footsteps stopped when his arm was pulled by Nadine, but he still looked ahead without even glancing at his wife.

"Didn't you promise to say goodbye to me when you were leaving, but why did you avoid me like this".

Keenan smiled wryly, for what he remained there if perhaps the presence was not expected at that time.

Nadine shook her head, she disagreed with all of Keenan's remarks.

"You misunderstood, baby. What you saw was not what you thought" Nadine said.

Keenan twisted his body until his position was now right in front of Nadine. Keenan could clearly see the merciful face of his wife, but he did not sympathize in the least. His anger had masked the empathy in his heart.

"What do you know about everything that's on my mind right now?".

"I see with my own eyes that my wife hugs another man willingly and even says she will take him from her own hands. Can you explain to me what that all means?" Sergeh Keenan with a tone of voice that began to rise.

Nadine gasped in shock, she had never heard Keenan yell like that at her.

Nadine tried to hold back her tears from falling, so the accusation Keenan threw at her was so painful that she herself was unable to say a word.

Keenan's emotions are getting out of control, he vents all his head because his brain is so full of various prejudices and prejudices about the wife with her ex-lover.

"Quite Keenan!" Nadine's tears finally broke. He could not hold it anymore because the accusations thrown by the husband had been very late. How could Keenan doubt the sincerity of his love based only on his expectations without wanting to hear an explanation from him.

Keenan's phone suddenly rang and Jimmy made the call.

The two were silent for a moment, they were trying to control each other's anger with eyes that locked onto each other.

Keenan grabbed his phone that continued to ring and immediately answered a call from Jimmy with an eye that could not be separated from the face of the wife.

"Your time is up sir. We have to leave now if we don't want to miss the flight" Jimmy said.

Keenan gritted his teeth while firmly grasping his phone. He really hates being in the position he is in now, he wants to settle his problems with Nadine right now but he also has to catch up with his flight because his departure is arranged according to the schedule and he cannot cancel it unilaterally.

"Well, I'll be right down" Keenan replied and then immediately disconnected from Jimmy.

Nadine looked at Keenan with increasingly sad eyes, hoping Keenan would cancel his departure so they could talk to each other. Nadine is very hopeful that Keenan will choose her over her work as he has done so far.

But it turns out Nadine's hope was in vain because for this time Keenan prefers his work than him.

"I have to go" Keenan said regardless of Nadine's gaze.

Without waiting for his wife's approval, Keenan twisted his body and walked away with a heavy heart.

"Darling!" Nadine hugged Keenan from behind to stop her husband from leaving.

Nadine did not want her husband to go in a state of emotion and anger that was still stored in her heart. At least he must provide an explanation so that the husband's mind is calm so as not to interfere with his work later.

Keenan let go of Nadine's embrace on his waist without caring for the wife's stuffing, he immediately stepped his feet leaving the wife who was still sobbing in her tears.

Though all this time he never had the heart to see Nadine cry, but now because of his anger Keenan seemed to close his heart, he did not care about his wife because his own heart was also sick.

Nadine took off her arms and let Keenan go even with an unwilling heart.

"Darling, you misunderstood me!" Lirih Nadine who still continues to look at the back of the husband who slowly began to disappear from the sight of his eyes.

Nadine realized that at this time Keenan was angry with her, she had to give her husband time and hope that time would calm the soul and heal the wounds so that they could talk about the matter later after Keenan returned.
