Keenan stepped out of the room with a cynical smile. He wanted to see what the arrogant family would do if Dr. Khairil canceled his intention to handle the case of Mr. Bayu.

"Curtain,,,! Arrogant. Who do they think they are, demeaning my wife" Keenan snorted in annoyance.

"We should not discuss this matter with Dr. Khairil sir, I am sure he will definitely keep Dr. Nadine on his team" said Jimmy.

Keenan stopped his steps and looked at Jimmy.

"No need for Jim. I'm not going to do that, because from the beginning I also objected if Nadine was involved with the family of her ex-boyfriend, especially after the incident made me more confident in my decision" he said.

"Let them solve their own problems, I want to know how far they can go. And your job is Jim!" Keenan pointed right at Jimmy's face.

"Your job is to make sure my wife never gets involved in this case again whatever the reason. Understood!" Declared.

Jimmy immediately nodded his head to understand, where maybe he rejected the orders of the leader who was being ignited emotions.

Keenan believes there must be a reason why Dr. Khairil reassembled members of a special team that had been disbanded just to handle the case of Pak Bayu even though if Dr. Khairil wants him to be able to form another team that has been dissolved it must be better than the previous team. And somehow Keenan felt that it had something to do with Nadine, his wife.

Therefore, he must do whatever it takes to protect his wife from those who have ulterior intentions to his wife.

The news of Nadine's doodling of special team members shocked the entire board of directors of the hospital as well as all members of the special team including Dr Khairil and Nadine herself. They really do not understand about the situation that is happening at this time, even though they have been conducting a briefing to prepare for the operation tomorrow morning.

Nadine is silent without a sound, she is still trying to digest the information she just got from one of her team members if her name is crossed off the special team list by Mr. Keenan, the hospital director.

'Why did Keenan do that? Why did he cross my name off the team list. Doesn't he want me to go to the operation, but why? Though this morning Keenan himself told me to come to his room to meet with colleagues in the special team and at that time he did not show protest even he was very supportive" Monologue Nadine.

Nadine intends to meet directly with her husband to ask the reason why his name is in the scribble when all team preparations have entered the finish, but Nadine had to postpone her intention when she heard the words of Dr Khairil.

"Why did Mr Keenan suddenly remove Dr Nadine from the team list? Before that, he agreed. Did something happen until he did it?" Said Dr Khairil who did not understand the intention of the hospital director.

"I have to talk to Mr. Keenan" said Dr. Khairil.

"You take it easy Din, I will make sure your name is written on the list" asserted Dr Khairil when their eyes met.

Nadine stared at Dr. Khairil's departure until she disappeared behind the door, then exhaled softly. He does not know what to do at this time, why the circumstances do not seem to support him to involve himself in this case.

If only Nadine knew what Mr. Bayu's family had said about him, whether he would still want to be involved in the case.

Keenan looked at Dr. Khairil who was sitting before him with an indifferent gaze, he had expected earlier that Dr. Khairil would definitely file a protest against him.

'Ah,,,! Why did Dr. Khairil even file a protest against me, did he not know if the arrogant family had caused me to take this decision'.

"I didn't do anything doc, the patient's own family rejected Dr. Nadine so I was just trying to grant their wish" Keenan said calmly.

"You can ask yourself to Dr. Bakrie or Dr. Heru, they are living witnesses when the family refused to be strongly involved by Dr. Nadine in this operation" he said.

Doctor Khairil sighed which felt quite heavy, he felt the director of this hospital was too rash in taking a stance. Though according to him, the attitude that the patient's family shows is a common thing that often happens in the world of medicine, even so far there are more severe than that. Doctor Khairil does not know if the attitude that Keenan shows today is a form of protection of a husband to his wife.

"They're just the patient's family so they don't have the authority to make decisions because it's the doctor's decision that determines everything. And the rejection they do will not change anything but your decision that makes all the plans that we have arranged are messy and threatened to fail" said Dr Khairil.

Keenan smiled bitterly, Dr. Khairil did not know just how presumptuous their mouths were when he said swear words to his wife. But he will not explain about it, which for sure at this time he only wants the wife far away from the family.

"I'm sorry doctor. As a hospital director I just want to protect my employees from ungrateful people like them. They themselves do not want it and I only grant their wish, nothing more than that "Keenan said.

"Now that the decision is in your hands, you can find a new assistant if you still want to continue the case or if not you can immediately withdraw from the case. Let the family solve their own problems that they have made" he said again.

"I could not have done the operation without an assistant Mr. Keenan, so I chose Dr. Nadine to be my assistant" said Dr. Khairil.

"I can only entrust this task to Dr. Nadine, if I have to find another intercessor it will definitely take a lot of time and I'm afraid the patient can't wait any longer" Kilah dr Khairil.

Keenan singled out his cynical smile, the words that Dr Khairil said were the same as the words he made to the patient's family that Mr. Bayu might not be able to last much longer if the surgery was continuously delayed.

"You're sure that's the only reason. It's not that you wanted Dr. Nadine from the start and wanted to tie her up to stay with you" Sergey Keenan said.

"I'm sure you have another reason behind the formation of a special team that has long since disbanded, surely you have other intentions, especially for Dr. Nadine. Really no! Is my guess wrong!".

Doctor Khairil was quite surprised when he heard Keenan's words that led to his initial intention to come to the hospital, which was to ask Nadine to come with him to America. He thought if Nadine was involved in this case then he could change Nadine's decision until finally he was willing to accept his bargain.

"Why are you talking like that Mr Keenan? Do you think I have bad intentions for Dr Nadine?" Accuse dr Khairil.

"Not accusing, but I'm just trying to guess. Because I think it is very strange if you say you are unable to handle the case without the help of Dr. Nadine when it is your expertise" said Keenan full of emphasis.

"And you can also still find other assistants to help you if Dr. Nadine can not be part of a special team. But why don't you do it and why do you stick to the initial stand that you will handle the case only if Dr. Nadine is your assistant" he said.

"Isn't that so weird, doctor! I thought that you only wanted Dr. Nadine regardless of your intentions, who might also want to help with the case. Although I don't know for sure what you're doing that for".

Keenan closed his words with eyes that looked at Dr Khairil sharply and he could clearly see the change in facial expression that Dr Khairil showed. And it makes Keenan more sure if his assumption is true, if Dr. Khairil really wants his wife.

Doctor Khairil was silent, he did not expect that Keenan could draw the right conclusions when no one was able to do that.

"He's like a psychic. Know what I was thinking even before I told her the truth".
