"Whoa—he's pretty handsome!" exclaimed one of the burly men with a scornful expression. "But unfortunately stupid!"
The five brawny men went back.
"Only a Tier Three Knight," said the other burly man as he pulled one of his legs back and bent his knees in the stance of the horses. "Let me finish him off!"
Shen Zhu pulled the corner of his lips forming a slanted smile.
The man charged towards Shen Zhu as he slammed his spear.
Shen Zhu flicked the tip of his spear and instantly a tinge of blood-red light shot out from his fingertips like a laser beam.
The hunter's spear instantly crumbled into dust flakes and the burly man was thrown backwards with a bent stomach pierced by the laser-like sharp light.
BLAAASSH!
Everyone is strangled at the same time.
The other four muscular men stuttered with expressions of shock. "Not a Tier Three Knight!" yell at them while running around in a mess and scattered.
"Did I let you go?" shen Zhu growled while raising one hand and moving his fingers at the side of the face.
The four burly men ran on the spot with the soles of their feet floating a few inches off the ground. Their bodies were wrapped in a dark mist like a tendril that was based on Shen Zhu's fingers like thread puppets.
The residents screamed in restraint while smothering their mouths with fear.
The cries of the four burly men blared like the roars of a group of lions.
Shen Zhu clenched his hands and instantly the four men exploded like crushed jars.
YOAAARRRR!
The residents held their breaths and froze with pale faces.
The three people kneeling in front of Shen Zhu fell down with their faces touching the ground.
Shen Zhu lowered his hand and rubbed his little cat head back with a glance.
The residents inched away but none dared to move from their place.
"You burned down his house?" shen Zhu asked as he looked down at his cat.
The residents were stunned and trembling.
"Nobody answered?" growled Shen Zhu while raising his face.
The villagers kneeled and begged for mercy. "This is a rule. We're so helpless."
"Rules," Shen Zhu repeated in a cold mutter as he bowed to the three homeowners who were still resting under his feet.
"The five men were the village magistrate's envoys," the man who fell under his feet took over the answer. "Sent here to arrest our son."
Shen Zhu spontaneously turned his gaze toward the eleven-year-old boy beside the man.
The boy raised his face looking at Shen Zhu. His eyes showed no fear.
"He's possessed by a demon!" a mother shouted while pointing her index finger at the boy.
Several women simultaneously ambushed the two arms of the woman and held her here and there.
"He killed my son!" the woman screamed while crying.
Then I was wrong to defend people, inner Shen Zhu felt ridiculous.
"I didn't kill him," the boy said as he looked at Shen Zhu with a calm expression.
Shen Zhu looked into the boy's eyes to look for answers.
The boy was finally downcast, not out of fear. But because of the sting of respect. "Some of the kids were running me down until I fainted. Then when I regained consciousness, he was already lying in a lifeless state."
"Wake up!" shen Zhu's orders to the boy.
The boy raised his face and looked at Shen Zhu uncertainly.
"Yes, you!" Shen Zhu confirmed. "Wake up!"
The boy sighed up his body and drew closer towards Shen Zhu.
Suddenly Shen Zhu snatched his neck and choked him.
The two boys' parents rushed towards Shen Zhu and were badly hugging his legs pleading. "Let go of our son, God!"
Shen Zhu raised the boy with one hand.
The boy thrashed with both hands clutching Shen Zhu's wrists, trying to let go of his giggles.
Shen Zhu still did not let go until the boy gasped and drooped.
Soon the boy growled and opened his eyes. Both of his eyes lit up red spitting out flames tongues. His entire body emitted dark smoke like tendrils.
Shen Zhu smiled obliquely.
The two boy's parents looked up and were flabbergasted.
Everyone inched backwards with trembling bodies.
This child was actually possessed by a demon! thought his parents.
Shen Zhu threw the boy into the air.
The boy roared like a lion in pain, his body wriggling in the air in the clutches of mist like a mosquito entangled in a spider web.
Shen Zhu looked carefully at every detail of the phenomenon. His little cat also looked up at his lap with a focused gaze.
"It's not wrong anymore" Shen Zhu murmured. "This child inherits the god's heirloom in his body." He concluded.
"What—" the two boy's parents stammered.
"Imust be!" The inhabitants muttered simultaneously like an agitated bee.
"Obviously he's possessed by a demon!" the mother grumbled that her son had been killed by the boy.
Shen Zhu looked down at the two boy parents who were hugging both of his legs on the left-right. "Are you surnamed Liu?" shen Zhu asked with a flat expression.
The couple looked up in surprise. "How did you know?"
"Wake up!" shen Zhu's orders instead answered.
The couple looked doubtful. But then sighed up his body and exchanged glances.
"You know Liu Hanzou?" shen Zhu asked as he looked up again watching the boy who started to shake the entire place with his blaring growl. A strong wind started to revolve around him.
"Who doesn't know Liu Hanzou?" muttered the husband. "He was the sect head before our temple was destroyed."
"Temple?" Shen Zhu turned his head towards the man in his about forty years with a frown. "Destroyed?"
"It's been decades" the man replied. "I was only my son's age when our sect was destroyed. From then on our clan was scattered."
Shen Zhu clenched one of his hands on the side of his body. The other hand clasped Xiao Mao trembling. So is it true that the Liu Sect used to be the Pillar of Gods? thought bitter.
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRH!" the boy's last scream was caught in a burst of light and thunderous thunder.
YOAAARRRR!
The whole village was shaking and cracking.
A golden pillar of light was created from the explosion of the boy's body through the sky.
"God's pillar!" exclaimed Xiao Mao through Shen Zhu's head. "He will be your guardian knight!" he tells.
Shen Zhu looked up and gulped.
The next second, the boy squeezed and slid down.
Shen Zhu spontaneously darted and grabbed him, then laid him down carefully.
The couple rushed towards them in a hurry.
The residents glanced at each other with confused looks.
Shen Zhu stood up slowly and looked around, staring one by one at the faces of the residents with a look of intimidation. "You guys," he growled. "Repair the house now!"
"What?" The inhabitants stammer. "It's impossible to fix a house in a day!" their protest.
"Did?" snarled Shen Zhu once again. "So you know building a house can't be done in a day? Then why still destroy it in a matter of seconds?"
The residents immediately fell silent.
