Shen Zhu was awakened by a loud thumping sound. He was listening in the hole.
BUUUUMM!
The entire place around him was shaking and cracking.
The Demon King Emperor was in a push-up, he thought he did not care.
Then closed his eyes again.
But another voice sounded.
A dry crackling sound above his head.
He pulled his body and looked around. But just seeing the dark.
He looked up following the voice upwards. Total darkness. There was not a single glimmer of light from above his head.
There is no moon. There are no stars. There is no wind.
Where am I? thought confusion.
He patted the floor around him. His hands touched the surface of the rough stone and the pebble flakes. A metal. Holes on the floor surface.
Some sort of underground tunnel or cave, he concluded. But why would I be here?
Shen Zhu took a deep breath. The place felt damp, like mossy. Wherever I am, no one has come in here for quite a long time, he said in his heart.
Simultaneously, the entire place around him shook again.
YOOOOOOOOOO!
Strange sounds came back.
Then he heard a familiar scream.
"CHIAAAAAAAT!"
Master Bao! Shen Zhu flinched and jumped to his feet. Now his consciousness had completely recovered. So too with his eyesight.
Shen Zhu looked around to find the whereabouts of his sword.
Along with that…
BUUUUMMU!
The explosion above his head cast a brightly lit light.
Shen Zhu found his sword rolled not far from his feet in a smooth, shiny state.
The pool of blood around him had dried up without leaving even the slightest puddle. Even a blood splash.
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRH!"
Bao Hu's loud shout jerked him again. He looked up at the hole above him while thinking hard. How do I get out of here?
Meanwhile, Bao Hu had already slammed once more.
Hordes of skull demons had already surrounded him here and there.
The jet-black hairy giant demon with the horns of the bull walked towards him with the sound of thumping steps. Every footing of his foot left a spark.
Bao Hu tried to pull his body up, but the heat hit his chest like a lightning sting. Waves of nausea mixed with tightness. He coughed and spewed out a lump of blood.
The giant demon swung its claws tore apart the empty air, hurling bursts of blood-red dome-shaped flames towards Bao Hu.
Simultaneously, a dazzling burst of light burst forth from within the well.
YOAAARRRR!
The well also exploded spitting debris of dust and rocks along with light dimness and the terrible rumbling of the wind.
Hordes of skull demons were swept away and scattered here and there.
The giant demon fell to its knees.
What else now? Bao Hu was stunned by the horror.
A person shot out from the well and landed in front of Bao Hu in a half-squat position half-kneeling. One knee rested on the floor, the other was folded in front in a squatting manner. One of his hands rested on the floor, the other clenched in front of his face, propped up on his sword shaft.
"Shen Zhu!" Bao Hu was suffocating weakly. "You're alive?" hisses gasping.
Shen Zhu turned his head to the side and glanced towards Bao Hu through the corner of his eyes while nodding briefly.
Bao Hu crawled behind him with one hand outstretched toward Shen Zhu, trying to grab the young man's shoulder but only reaching for empty air.
Shen Zhu had already darted towards the giant demon that had already risen up and lunged at him.
"CHIAAAAAAAT!"
YOAAARRRR!
YOAAARRRR!
YOAAARRRR!
Explosions of light burst forth with thumping sounds that then ended in a fierce bang that made the whole place shake and thunder.
The furry giant's body burst into pieces spouting smoldering lava like a mountain eruption, which automatically made the hordes of skull demons around him also swept away in an instant, then it burned and vanished into smoke which then evaporated swept away by the wind.
Did I really see it? bao Hu's mind was among his arising-drowning consciousness. I must be dreaming! he thought unsure. Then everything was pinched by the darkness with his consciousness.
Dark purple patches floated before Bao Hu's eyes. Part of him wanted to sink back into the darkness, but the other part of him struggled to be fully conscious.
Gradually the purple patches faded, turning gray.
The mist thinned and his wife's face appeared. Then the other faces.
Very far at first. Then it gets closer.
Getting close.
"I think he's starting to wake up" Bao Hu heard his uncle's voice say.
He felt something cold touch his forehead. Then his wife's worried face emerged from behind the gray fog.
"Sister!" Bao Yu's voice triggered his memories.
With great difficulty Bao Hu tried to get up, propping his body with both elbows. "Where is Shen Zhu?" the tananya half squealed.
"Calm down" comforted his wife while gently holding her arm.
Bao Hu's panicked gaze swept through the entire room, and found the figure he was looking for was slumped on the side of his bed.
"Master! I have harmed Master, "Shen Zhu lamented while banging his forehead against the floor. "I deserve to be punished!"
Bao Hu clasped his wife's hand and scattered towards Shen Zhu, then crouched down and scooped both shoulders of the young man. "What are you doing?" Bao Hu scolded him. "I was the one who almost harmed you! Awake up!"
Shen Zhu raised his face and looked at Bao Hu with a grim expression.
"You saved me!" Bao Hu added.
The entire room was flabbergasted to hear Bao Hu's confession.
"What exactly happened?" asked his wife while bowing and pulling up Bao Hu's body, then leading her back to bed.
Shen Zhu was still stuttering in confusion in a kneeling position.
"Wake up!" hardik Bao Hu on Shen Zhu.
Shen Zhu turned to his teacher with a doubtful look.
Bao Yu responded with a faint nod.
Shen Zhu finally moved off the floor, then joined Bao Yu.
"From now on, never again send a disciple for special training!" bao Hu Gumam.
The elders around the room were simultaneously flabbergasted.
"The cultivation of demons in ancient ruins has averaged hundreds of thousands of years," Bao Hu told.
"What?" the elders were shrieking simultaneously.
"And I was almost doomed," Bao Hu added grimly. "Fortunately Shen Zhu finished in time, otherwise he hung up his sentence and let it evaporate with a heavy sigh.
The entire room simultaneously turned to Shen Zhu with a frown.
"You brought Shen Zhu to the ruins?" bao Yu asked in surprise.
"Everything just comes to pass" Bao Hu said with a guilty look. "I found Shen Zhu practicing stealth, and saw him perfecting the inheritance room."
"inheritance room?" the whole room again screamed at the same time. Then all eyes twitched towards Shen Zhu once more.
Bao Yu swallowed and was dumbfounded. Next to his eyebrows raised high. Feeling a little irritated. "You're spying on my students?" his hisses are cynical.
Bao Hu blinked as he turned his face slightly, then bowed with a regretful look.
"Please!" furious at Bao Hu's wife while tightening her jaw, casting a sharp glare at Bao Yu.
"It's my fault!" sergeant Bao Hu while raising one hand.
His wife gave a rough sigh and bought. But say nothing more.
"You're really not a fake Bao Hu?" Bao Hu's wife ruffled her waist in the middle of the room after everyone came out.
"Yin'er, why do you think that?" Bao Hu looked at his wife with a frown.
"You brought the disciple Bao Yu for special training by dropping him off on your own, that was already beyond expectations," Jianyin said with a faint tone. "Then in order to protect him you accompanied him to night, until he was attacked by a horde of demons, until he almost lost his life, and you were not angry at all!"
Bao Hu opened his mouth, preparing to interrupt his wife.
But Jianyin again blabbed, "If this thing happens to Bao Yu, it's normal. But if this happens to you, then it's weird!"
"Yin'er—"
"If it wasn't for your body not having a strange aura, I would have suspected you were kidnapped!" jianyin's hatch cut off Bao Hu's words.
Bao Hu let out a short sigh. He was helpless to argue with his wife.
