A SLAAASSSH!

A SLAAASSSH!

The participant number one hundred and eighteen of the dagger sect soared with his mount, his mount lunging towards Tiao while the young man leaped and twisted in the air while throwing four daggers from the sidelines of his fingers.

Tiao's mount lunged towards the participant's mount while Tiao remained standing quietly on the floor. He swung his sword to counteract the attack with a sickle-shaped light energy from the flick of his sword. The other hand threw an ice needle from between his fingers.

Bao Hu blinked from the seat of the sect head. He could already make an elemental manna, he thought. Did Bao Yu teach him?

Meanwhile on the audience bench, Shen Zhu smiled faintly. He really learned it, he said inwardly. It turns out he's not too arrogant!

Then when his opponent threw another number of daggers, Tiao also created a snow dagger to ward off the attack.

The participants on the bleachers exclaimed in amazement.

"Save energy by utilizing the element manna," commented one of the elders. "What smart!"

Bao Hu blinked and smiled faintly with a sad look on his face. It was unexpected that he had developed rapidly after following Bao Yu, his mind was bitter. He glanced at his sister and felt ashamed.

Bao Yu did not notice it. His attention was focused on the fight.

The one hundred and eighteen participant's loud whistling attracted everyone's attention. His silver eagle swooped and darted towards him, and at the same time, that participant also jumped onto the back of his eagle.

Tiao also jumped on his mount.

Then simultaneously both of them shot into the middle of the arena with the position of the body ready to attack.

A SLAAASSSH!

A TRAAAAANG!

The sound of metal clashing fused with the rumbling of wind and flashes of light.

The arena exploded by a tinge of bright light, followed by a thunderbolt.

The player number one hundred and eighteen mustered the lightning element. His body and his mount lit up scattering the flashing light.

Simultaneously, Tiao's mount had already soared into the air and a burst of light had once again burst forth.

A moment later, the two participants froze with Tiao's deer antlers stuck in the throat of the hundred and eighteen eagle while Tiao's sword was drawn in the participants' throats.

"Participants number six-six won the fight!" The show host announced.

Surrounding the arena exploded with applause and cheers of the spectators.

Bao Yu let out a long, scruffy breath. Leaning his back to the bench.

Bao Hu looked at him with a faint smile, while his forehead was furrowed with a rake.

Shen Zhu jumped to his feet while brandishing his fists at the side of the face.

Tiao bowed respectfully to the soldiers and turned around. Then walked out of the arena while his clasped mounts disappeared.

"Congratulations to the participants who qualified for the second round!" the host began to chatter among the hustle and bustle of excited attendees. "The second round is a random fight between streams. To the participants, it is expected to rest and practice. Prepare for the second round!"

The audience moved from their seats clapping their hands.

Then one by one everyone started to leave the arena.

A knight who was acting as a committee during the Knight Trials, approached Tiao in the corridor as everyone left the arena. "Young Master Bao! Lock your room!" he said as he leaned over offering a tray containing keys of rooms numbered six-six.

"Thank you!" Tiao bowed back with a soja greeting after retrieving the keys to his room.

The knight bowed to Bao Yu and his students with the respect of the soldiers, repaid the same soldiers' salutes. Then turned around and rushed back to the committee hall.

"Me and the others have rented an inn not far from here" Bao Yu told. "The three of you start practicing!"

"Can't we have lunch together first?" shen Zhu protested while scratching his non-itchy temple with a childish attitude. "Let's celebrate Brother Tiao's victory!"

Bao Yu smiled amusedly. "Good," he said. "We're eating out!"

His students cheered happily.

"Oh!" A sect elder snorted as their entourage passed by in the corridor. "Miss Bao.." he sneered. "Don't anyone tell you that this isn't a playground? Why babysit around here?"

His students laughed behind him.

"Speaking sassy what?" Shen Zhu spontaneously growled while pointing his index finger at the elder. Feeling stung to hear her teacher called Miss.

Bao Yu stretched out one side of her hand in front of Shen Zhu's chest to block him.

"Why?" the elder glared at Shen Zhu. "You're not happy? Xiao Meimei!" he sneered while smiling sideways.

"You—" Shen Zhu almost lunged towards the man, but again Bao Yu stretched out her hand in front of Shen Zhu's chest.

The man looked at Shen Zhu with squinted eyes, then returned to grinning. "Gee!" he still shouted in a mocking manner. "He looks just like you! Is she your daughter?"

"What—" Shen Zhu could barely contain himself.

"Shen Zhu!" Bao Yu held him back again. Still remain calm and not provoked. "Don't be too impulsive" he warned. "You can be disqualified from this exam!"

The group burst past them arrogantly and looked presumptuous.

Bao Yu shook her head faintly at her students giving a warning signal. "Let's eat!" take him in an urgent tone.

His students obediently followed him. Even Jialin and Jiangwu. The two teenagers were already like part of Dormitory Seven. Wherever the Shen Zhu horde went, they followed him like slaves of war.

Simultaneously, the giggling sound behind caught their attention.

They looked back.

The petite caller girl dressed in pink smothered her mouth with her fingers under her umbrella that looked like a witch's castle dome made of food in a western fantasy fairytale.

Why her again? Shen Zhu groaned in his heart as he twirled his eyeballs with a lopsided look.

Jialin glared at the girl impatiently. This Little Witch is truly a senseless seductress! grunts in the heart.

With a childish demeanor, the Calling Girl passed by them with surging steps like she was dancing. He glanced at Shen Zhu while giggling.

"I think he likes you" teased Bao Yu who was automatically responded to by the laughter of his students.

"Teacher—" Shen Zhu stuttered while scratching his nape that did not feel itchy with a blushing face.

Suddenly his cat chipped out and jumped towards the little girl while growling.

"Xiao Mao!" Shen Zhu and his elder brothers were suffocated together.

The cat darted towards the Calling Girl while swinging its paws.

Shen Zhu immediately caught him.

The cat rebelled with its legs thrashing for empty air.

What the hell's going on? Is the cat jealous too? The Calling Girl slid past his shoulder and blinked. Whahuh? the pekikin' in heart. Gorgon Empress!

Panicked he turned towards the cat and stammered. Then scream and run away.

The Bao Sect's entourage froze together, looking at the girl's back with a frown.

Shen Zhu exchanged a glance with his teacher. Then he looked down at his cat while rubbing his head.

The cat snorted and looked away like a girl sulking.

"Xiao Mao, what's wrong with you?" shen Zhu asked in confusion.
