The God of Cataka

"That's it!" Jianyin muttered as he walked pacing in front of the round window in his reading room. "I've found him" he whispered excitedly. His eyes were full of ambition. "And I'll get it!" his promise to himself. "I knew I'd get it!" he convinced himself.

Shortly after, the sliding door of his reading room opened.

Jianyin stopped pacing and turned towards the door.

Two female servants bowed to her while flanking a young man into the middle of the room.

"Tianba saluted Madam Chairman!" the young man bowed to Jianyin, greeting the soja.

Zhao Tianba was the Chairman of the One Son Dormitory. Superior disciple of Baohu Sword Sect Academy. Horde of wolf hairy porcupine. Jialin's henchmen.

Jianyin specifically called out to him silently through the two female servants, while everyone here and there was meditating to recuperate.

Some people have begun to evacuate the dead and prepare funerals.

Everyone is busy at the moment. It's a good time to make a conspiracy.

"Nobody saw you, right?" jianyin asked with squinted eyes.

"No one, Madam!" answer Tianba.

"Wake up then!" jianyin sounded impatient.

The two female servants immediately rushed out and closed the door, then stood guard at the door.

Tianba pulled up his body and stood up clumsily.

Jianyin approached and scuffled. "Tianba, I know you're the best student we've ever had" he said. "You should be the number one seeded student!"

Tianba blinked and bowed with a bitter expression. Feeling a little hit given the results of the spiritual power test.

As if he could read Tianba's mind, Jianyin stepped to Tianba's side while whispering, "You want to know why Bao Yu's disciples can be superior?"

Tianba gulped and bowed deeper and deeper.

"Because their numbers are less, then their resources are greater!" Jianyin added. "You can be superior to them if your resources are sufficient."

Tianba just blinked. Don't know how to react.

"You want revenge?" Jianyin glanced towards Tianba through the corner of his eyes.

Tianba clenched both his hands on his sides.

"You want to become even stronger to defeat them all?" asked Jianyin again.

Tianba gulped with difficulty, then tightened his jaw and gritted his teeth. "Right," he answered determinedly.

"I can help you," Jianyin said. Then glanced at the young man once again through the tail of his eyes. "I can help both. Take revenge.. and get resources!" He adds. "But before that, I want to give you a mission. And we'll exchange profits!"

Tianba blinked once again. Trying to dare to look at the madam's face.

With a sly smile, the woman bent her fingers towards Tianba.

Tianba raised next to his brows and bowed, listening to the woman whispering in his ear.

"I'll keep my promise once you've completed the mission!" Jianyin added as he pulled his face away and raised his nose. Then back to the cross.

Tianba froze in doubt.

The woman nudged his arm and whispered back, "I know you've always liked Jialin!"

Tianba bowed slightly blushed. But still looks doubtful.

"Why?" jianyin was impatient. "Are you scared?" his challenge was half scorn.

"No!" sergeant Tianba hurry. "Of course not! It's just…"

"You don't believe me?" Jianyin glared at him.

"I believe in the Madam!" Tianba instantly bowed with both hands linked in front of his face. "Just don't believe in me!"

"No confidence, how can you seduce my daughter?" sindir Jianyin provoked.

"I'll do it!" Tianba forcefully obeyed him, then bowed, saluted and withdrew.

"And let no one else know!" Jianyin warned before the young man disappeared behind the door.

Tianba bowed once more. And then disappeared behind the door.

Jianyin turned his body back to the door, then returned to the window. Looking loosely into the yard while crossing, watching his son who was practicing tenaciously.

****TRAAAAANG****!

"Nine hundred and ninety-seven!"

A TRAAAAANG!

"Nine hundred and ninety-eight!"

A TRAAAAANG!

"Nine hundred and ninety-nine!"

"Thousand!"

A TRAAAAANG!

A little too persistent!

Too insistent!

Bao Tiao staggered and gasped for breath, then fell to his knees resting on his sword. Both of his knees were shaking uncontrollably. Sweat was pouring all over his body. He wiped the sweat on his forehead with his hanfu arm. Then looked up at the sky with a pushy look.

His face looked sad and angry. Like a little fox wounded in the moonlight.

He lifted his body again. Swing his sword again. Repeating the count from the beginning.

A TRAAAAANG!

"One!"

A TRAAAAANG!

"Two.." His breath went back. Then back to staggering. But I don't want to stop. Although his throat was suffocating. Although his body was limp and trembling. He growled furiously every time his legs faltered because he could not bear his body weight. More angry at him.

"CHIAAAAAAAT!"

Jianyin looked sadly at his son and sighed heavily. Then he nodded and turned away from the window.

A TRAAAAANG!

A TRAAAAANG!

A TRAAAAANG!

Slash after slash sounded the weaker it was out there, the slower it became. Too forced.

It won't be long, my son! inner Jianyin. Soon I will turn things around. You will become an unrivaled knight and become the most respected leader.

On the other side of the hill, behind the defensive fort, people were busy burying the corpses.

Some people dig holes, some shoulder to shoulder, collecting bodies from various corners of the college building and collecting them around the hole that has been dug.

The bodies were lined with a makeshift cloth.

Shen Zhu placed the tombstone on one of the graves he had dug and placed one of the teachers inside.

The female disciples sat down around the grave crying.

Shen Zhu stared sadly at the silent scene of death with a wounded feeling.

"The Chief has already contacted the Knight Alliance Headquarters!" The familiar voice of someone caught his attention.

Shen Zhu blinked and turned his head, then twisted his body and bowed with both hands linked in front of his face, "Teacher!"

The crying female disciples immediately got up and bowed in unison toward Bao Yu, "Uncle Master!" greet them simultaneously.

The other disciples turned to them, then flocked to Bao Yu and crowded around.

"They will send people here to organize the rebuilding of our college" Bao Yu announced. "But." he hung up his sentence and looked around, looking at the sad faces of all the children with a grim expression. "People who have died cannot be returned!" He added, bringing everyone to reality.

The female students came back crying. The other disciples bowed with grim expressions.

"Rest!" Bao Yu patted Shen Zhu on the shoulder. "You've been working too hard. You haven't even recovered after the fight." He lowered his hand from the young man's shoulder and folded his hands back. Turn around and lead the way to college.

Shen Zhu followed behind him.
