The God of Cataka

Shen Zhu turned his horse and darted towards the burial valley of his former village of birth.

The heirloom that never made it to the Knight Alliance Headquarters was still left behind in our village, Shen Zhu concluded. He then jumped off his horse and rushed to his family's burial area.

He searched all the places where his house used to stand. Gold-colored letters sprung from the ground like steam, then lined up to form a series of words and sentences containing information about each dead person, which was already dead, floating in several places above each navel was like a transparent board.

Shen Zhu read one of them with an injured face.

Jiang Mu Cui, the fifth generation Emperor Jiang. Liu Cui, wife of Prince Liu Hanzou.

The golden-coloured writing was floating above one of the nameless eddies in the corner of the fortress.

It was his mother's grave!

Alongside the tomb of a servant who served his family for decades.

Shen Zhu turned his body to the side, and circulated his gaze agitatedly. Looking for his father's grave. Then found him in the middle flanked by a number of tombs of servants and bodyguards who were not from the Liu clan. Separated from his mother's grave.

Shen Zhu's heart felt sliced. Such mass funerals are heartbreaking.

I have to fix it! his determination in heart. Then he leaned over his father's belly button and frowned.

Liu Hanzou, fourth generation Emperor Liu. Imperial Crown Prince Liuwang. Longshizu Dynasty War General.

Crown Prince? Shen Zhu sat down bitterly. War General?

What does this mean?

Then he looked towards his mother's head. "Fifth generation Emperor Jiang!" whispered. "The fourth generation of Emperor Liu…"

A manual opened within his body, then appeared before his face in the form of a transparent book with gold-coloured writing.

It is said that the Jiangnan empire and Liuwang empire were two of the most famous empires in the Xuang continent, fighting for years for territory over each other. The war ended peacefully through a marriage bond between Princess Emperor Jiang and Crown Prince Liuwang. Jiang Mu Cui and Liu Hanzou.

But the rebellion happened on their wedding day. Emperor Jiang was killed in battle and the rebel leaders seized his throne, taking the Jiang family hostage including their son-in-law, Crown Prince Liu, in exchange for the Liuwang empire.

Emperor Liu chose war.

Crown Prince Liu was given two options, leading a war against his own empire or receiving the death penalty.

The Crown Prince chose war!

The rebel leader who had officially become emperor was holding the Jiang family hostage as collateral.

Liu Hanzou stuck his sword at the border in the midst of the fierce battle. The earth split apart and the sea water burst from the crack of the ground it made, then sank the Liuwang empire.

This revolution was called the Longshizi Dynasty. The first Emperor Long.

Liuwang Empire erased from history. Disappeared from the face of the earth.

Emperor Long was dissatisfied with the loss of the great country, but Liu Hanzou's victory was undeniable.

By force the Jiang family was liberated and Liu Hanzou was appointed as the Longshizi Imperial War General. But behind the appointment, Liu Hanzou was actually charged with seizing another territory as large as Liuwang's empire in exchange for damages.

After Liu Hanzou made it happen, he was banished from the empire.

It was at that time that Liu Hanzou founded the Liu Sect and built the Zainan Temple, creating the Second Pillar of the Catastrophic God.

The earth shook and rumbled. A whirlwind blew from the magic circle, sweeping across the entire valley.

Shen Zhu knelt in the center of the circle with both hands resting on the hilt of his sword. His hair and robe whipped like a whirlpool exposed to the raging storm.

A magic formation was created under his feet, centered on the point where his sword struck. Dark smoke billowed from several circular dots patterned with ancient symbols, forming dark vortexes here and there.

A number of dark hooded heads poked out from the ground surface through a golden-colored transparent circle under Shen Zhu's feet, then stood around him. All of them were in dark robes with headgear. All of them carried long-handled scythe.

Shen Zhu focused his concentration on controlling those bottomless pit angels. Then within a short period of time, they began to dig all the tombs, moving each skeleton based on the position in the family.

The head of the family is buried at the front side by side with his wife eating, behind him the graves of children and sons-in-law or grandchildren and great-grandchildren, then the graves of the family elders, lastly the guards and servants. Then name all the centers according to the data of each person based on the book of life.

Everything Shen Zhu did was just by kneeling down with both hands clinging to the hilt of his sword, his hard-working brain controlling all the grim reaper.

After everything was finished, Shen Zhu erected a temple on the top of one of the hills that were still part of the village area from the ruins of the remaining buildings using his spiritual power.

Zainan Temple!

"The first person to pray to the God of Catastrophe in this temple will be the Fourth Pillar of the God of Catastrophe!" Shen Zhu vowed before leaving the cemetery.

A number of Knight Alliance spies sprung up in hidden corners, sneaking behind chunks of rock on the cliff walls to peek at Shen Zhu's activities. Then report it to the Knight Alliance Headquarters.

"A number of sky envoys are revamping the cemetery in the demolished village" the spy leader reported.

"Sky's bow?" The Alliance Leader frowned. "Remembering a funeral?"

"Like.." the head of the spy force thought hard before he could conclude, "Angel of death!"

"Why did heaven send down the angel of death?" The Alliance leader hissed with a tense look. "Is this some kind of warning?"

"It seems not" replied the leader of the spy force. Then he nodded for a moment and thought hard. Trying to digest a scene recorded in his mind.

Before they left, the leader of the army saw one of the dark-robed angels kneeling before the white-robed angel, holding out a golden flute with both hands.

"They came for Liu's heirloom," the leader of the spy forces added in a choked voice.

"What?" The Alliance Chairman flinched and turned around with eyes squinted. "The Heavenly Stronghold excavated the tomb in search of Liu's heirloom?"

The leader of the spy force bowed once again, "Only an estimate!" He confessed.

Simultaneously, another envoy appeared in the middle of the room, kneeling towards the Chairman while linking his hands together in front of his face. "We found the location of a large formation on the river of the former destroyed Zainan Mountain!"

"Klan Liu!" The Alliance Chief growled as he smacked his fist into the surface of the table. "That rancid boy is already a god!"

The two envoys kneeling in the middle of the room were aghast at the same time. Then glanced at each other with tense faces.

Shortly after, the Alliance Leader sneaked out of the headquarters in disguise, wearing a ninja outfit with a face mask and caping. It then landed in the cemetery area of the destroyed village.

The funeral seemed much more organized. Each navel has a name, complete with the year of birth and the year of death.

It's perfect!

A job that only a god can do.
