The Alliance Leader paced around in his reading room.
A shadow bodyguard sneaked in without a sound and knelt in the middle of the room.
"Find out where the location of that grand formation is!" the Alliance Chairman's Order.
"Good!" replied the shadow bodyguard while linking his hands in front of his face. Then he turned and turned around without a sound.
In the preparation room of the participants, Xiao Mao was gathering with his comrades around the table with Tiao—applying as the companion teacher of the Bao Sect.
"Silver has passed the Second Test of Inheritance. We can't fail either!" Xiao Mao cheered. "While most of the participants have been successfully manipulated, the seizure of seventy seats remains dependent on our efforts."
In another preparation room, Liu Xie Ma was also cheering up a group of veiled girls with elegant hanfu from the fairy clan disguised as a group of participants from the Majusi Sect.
In the other preparation room again, a group of hunter gods disguised as a group of participants from the Shenlu Sect who had been renamed the Hunter God Sect, the Liu clan disguised as a group of participants from the Shu Sect, also the other sects that Shen Zhu's allies had infiltrated, all of them looked excited.
Even the Jiangnan Emperor, Long Hua Ze, seemed impatient to see how the revolution would begin. The freedom of humanity depends on you, he said inwardly, addressed to Shen Zhu out there.
So was the hope of everyone in the Xuang continent.
The Five Pillars of Gods had become the pawns of the Knight Alliance.
The laws of the heavens never again sided with the weak.
New and arrogant gods are emerging. The ancient gods have long been forgotten.
After thousands of years, the aura of that ancient power finally reappeared.
Hope this is a good sign! hope everyone is oppressed.
"Let us on the road of salvation!"
"Save us!"
"SAVE US!"
The voices were rumbling like a giant machine within Shen Zhu's head.
Shen Zhu's head twitched uneasily on his bed, his eyelids trembled, his breathing was wheezing, his chest was heaving in disarray, sweat was flooding down his face.
"Wake up!"
"Save us!"
Shen Zhu gasped and sat on his bed, his panicked gaze sweeping around.
"Master!"
The soft voice made him jerk his head to the side and stammer.
Jingwei sat hunched over the edge of her bed, staring anxiously mixed with relief while forcing a smile.
"How long have I been asleep for?" Shen Zhu whispered with excitement.
"Just a few hours," Jingwei replied calming him down.
"How many hours where?" Shen Zhu asked again.
"A few hours in the realm of the earth," Jingwei assured him. "Petaka Heaven has an inverse time difference with the Highest Heaven. One day in the Mortal World, one thousand days in the Underworld."
Shen Zhu sighed heavily and wiped the sweat off his forehead. "I want to meet Xiao Mao," he said as he unfolded his blanket.
Jingwei immediately held him back, "Miss Master isn't finished yet!" He warned. "Chairman Jingling is waiting for Master."
"Chairman Jingling?" Shen Zhu frowned.
The Jingling Continent was the most mysterious continent in the world. A small hidden continent where the fairy race lived in the early days of the creation of the universe.
A country lost to civilization in its heyday. Called the land of Ziran.
Some believe it to be a lost land of magic and heaven.
No one can infiltrate. Even the Knight Alliance.
It is said that their emperor is no less mysterious. No one of his people ever saw his face. The height is difficult to approach. His palace could only be entered by holy officials with high spiritual power.
"The staff of the Emperor of the God of Catastrophe is in the hands of Emperor Ziran," Jingwei told.
"What?" Shen Zhu suffocated and looked at Jingwei with squinted eyes.
"The Second Test of Inheritance should have already made Master know all the heirlooms of the doom god," Jingwei retorted her eyes.
"That's not the point of importance" said Shen Zhu. "I mean—"
"I understand," Jingwei cut. "To take the Scepter of the Emperor is to seize the empire."
"True," Shen Zhu chimed in a bit.
"But that's your mission" Jingwei argued.
Jingwei reached into her hanfu chest and took out a rolling letter that did not look like it was from the human world, then extended it to Shen Zhu.
Shen Zhu received the scroll and opened it.
The golden-coloured letters spread out from the scroll like a flock of butterflies, then marching floating in front of Shen Zhu's face formed a line of messages more appropriately called wills because it marked the ancient god symbol as a seal.
"In other words, my mission is to fight one continent!" Shen Zhu groaned helplessly.
"You managed to conquer a number of sects at level six," Jingwei reminded. "Now you've become a god, just not officially a God Emperor."
"Don't forget about the Sixth Rank Heavenly Knight who almost died not far from the gate" Shen Zhu's sergeant was impatient.
"Then you also must not forget that the Sixth Level Heavenly Core Knight has drained most of his spiritual power to so many people!" jingwei.
Shen Zhu was instantly speechless.
"Master," Jingwei continued in a stern persuasion that made Shen Zhu look at him seriously. "Capturing an empire does not always mean war. Sometimes identity means law."
Shen Zhu blinked and gulped, staring into Jingwei's eyes with startling admiration. Are you really eleven years old? her mind is a little amused.
"If I may be honest." Shen Zhu turned his face away and was stunned. "Being the God Emperor is not my ambition" he said with a faint smile.
"That's why you deserve to rule the universe" Jingwei said. "Law without ambition breeds a neutral order!"
Shen Zhu turned his head back and stared intently into Jingwei's eyes. A thin smile fell on the corner of his lips. "Thank you, Old Man," he said.
Jingwei smiled faintly in response to him. "Continent Jingling protected the bloodline seal," he told. "Just like our mountain. If you can get through it without a clash of energies, there's no need for war."
"Benua Jingling is inhabited by the fairy race" said Shen Zhu.
"The fairy queen is a natural creature that has full spiritual power like a god. But I don't know the law like a god. They live by instincts like demons" Jingwei explained. "It could be said to be half god half demon. It was from them that the nephilim race was born."
The Nephilim are demigods born from interbreeding between humans and fairies.
"From them was the first God Pillar created," Jingwei added. "The "heir of gods never really came from a cross-marriage between gods and humans. But from the fairy race. The new gods are only noble fairies. True gods are just ancient gods."
"I already understand," Shen Zhu said. Then lowered his legs to the floor and let his body stand up. Then walk out of the temple to her pavilion to clean up and change clothes.
When he finished getting dressed and trying to get his hair done, he suddenly remembered Xiao Mao.
He did a lot for me, he realized. From the big things to the little things that mean so much. From the beginning until now he never left me. But I never appreciated it once.
Keep treating him like a pet…
Think of him as a monster fellow!
Now he knew a little thing like styling his hair had made him feel like a lost chick without Xiao Mao.
His entire self-care had been taken care of by Xiao Mao.
He could not take care of himself as well as Xiao Mao took care of him.
"Little Cat, I miss you" he whispered with a hollow expression.
