The First Night of Cana (Angel Without Wings)

"What's? Bali?"Jihan stopped her hand scooping food onto her plate, she was a little surprised when Heru said she was going on a business trip to Bali.

"About once?" ask Jihan again, seeming objectionable.

"Yes. Suddenly, Hasan sent me an email last night. Potential clients who if you want to plant shares in the office then the company will grow rapidly." Heru explained with a sweet smile.

Kana who had been busy feeding Ken grieved in her heart.

A lie!

Did the old man say that? Business travel? Travel for maksiat, yes!

"How many days?" Jihan could not imagine if she had to part with Heru for too long.

"Five days."

"Got long!"

Heru smiled then clasped Jihan's free hand. " The client from Japan was a week's holiday in Bali so, inevitably we adjust to the length of his vacation there."

"Why should Dad?" Joddy suddenly spoke up, he knew that the company built by his father and friends was indeed progressing rapidly. Joddy also knew Heru started his business it was completely from scratch. But the company that has advanced rapidly should also have younger and competent employees, why should Heru go there? His father was no longer young.

"Well, because Dad was appointed there."

"I mean Joddy, why Dad? Kan, in the office there are still many younger."

"But the senior will be more convincing, Jod. Surprisingly, Joddy and his mother seem to believe in Heru. They don't realize Heru hasn't changed. Still in touch with Laras who turned out to have returned to Indonesia.

"But I think five days is a long time," jihan lirih complained, like a teenager who was sulking because his girlfriend would be left behind.

"Why? Afraid kangen?" sedu Heru accompanied by a blink of an eye made Jihan blush in embarrassment and Kana look uncomfortable when she accidentally saw all that.

The old man was really annoying, wanting to feel like Kana threw the plate in front of him towards Heru. But he seems to have a better idea than doing bar-bar deeds like that.

"Why don't you go to Bali? Don't you, all vacation?" kana's proposal made all eyes point at her.

"Good idea!" Even Ferddy who had just been silent suddenly made a sound. Of course Heru who heard Kana's suggestion looked at her in shock. Don't let Jihan agree with Kana's proposal. It could ruin all his plans.

"Yes, Mom. Why don't you two just go."

Heru almost cursed blatantly when the firstborn also agreed to Cana's proposal. Just look, Jihan's originally grim face turned happy.

"Yes right, too, Mom. We can have a vacation!" Jihan sounds enthusiastic. "We have not been on vacation for a long time let alone we had time to stretch since" Jihan was reluctant to continue her sentence because she was afraid it would trigger an unpleasant atmosphere.

The whole room understood.

"But baby, I'm going there to work instead of vacation." Just yummy! Can rampage the Concubine later if you know the empress whines along with her.

"No papa, Mas. Later I can wait in the hotel as long as you meet the client when we're done just walk."

Kana almost cheered in excitement to see the panicked face of Heru who must have been upset because the holiday with the actor would be destroyed because the rightful owner himself insisted on following him to Bali.

"You'll be bored, honey." Don't call the middle-aged man Heru, if you think he'll just give up.

"Let's not bosen how if we just come to Bali. Ken must be really happy too, isn't he Kak?"Kana smiled at her husband who looked at her in amazement because Kana looked very enthusiastic when she wanted a vacation. Joddy is definitely not a problem because he can still take time off .

"Well, that's right too. We could even go on a family vacation!"Jihan looks happy she's been imagining a very nice vacation.

"Agreed!" Ferddy clapped his hands cheerfully. "Unfortunately, I have a job so it's through first!" ferddy looks so disappointed.

"Well, what a pity! Though it must be exciting if we are crowded," replied Kana glimpsed by the face of Heru who was pale.

"I'm going there for work instead of vacation!"heru exclaimed in a slightly high voice even she put down her spoon with a slight slam. Making everyone at the dining table look at him in shock.

"Mas, why are you so angry?" ask Jihan .

Aware of his behavior that could make everyone suspicious Heru hurriedly corrected his attitude. "Not angry but I'm just afraid you're bored if you come with me to Bali, there I work not vacation."

"But we can take Kana with Ken," babil Jihan.

"Yes, I don't care, but what if people think you're financed with company money? Later, they think because of all the costs borne by the company I even invite families who can make a budget swelling. They might not believe me even if I say I use my own funds." Heru still insisted on finding reasons to reject the wishes of Jihan who would join and even take Kana on vacation to Bali.

"Oh, so." It was seen that Jihan was trying hard to cover up her disappointment.

"I promise after I get home from Bali, we'll take a vacation. How about going to Semarang? To your brothers' place?" Heru clasped Jihan's hands back which had been released.

A relieved smile emanated clearly from that beautiful face that was no longer young. "Yes, we're on vacation when you're done traveling to Bali." Jihan chose to give up even though Jihan hopes that with a vacation together they can repair the relationship that had fallen apart.

"I promise, after returning from Bali I will arrange time for us to vacation," promise Heru who hopefully not just a 'sweet promise' that will then be forgotten.

Jihan returned Heru's hand with her gentle smile. It did not escape the attention of Cana who held back the anger not to shout in front of the Joddy family and told her that Heru was still in contact with Laras.

Gosh, Kana really doesn't believe it, Joddy and Jihan don't suspect Heru. Though Joddy is usually always sensitive to the oddities that occur around him but why is he not sensitive to his own father?

"Dad, why are you so insistent on not allowing you to come to Bali? Is it because I'm going to meet someone there?" Kana asked in a soft but resolute voice making the entire room stare at her in astonishment.

"What do you mean, Kana? You're accusing Dad of cheating?"Heru asked in an angry tone like a person caught cheating.

Kana raised her next to her eyebrows. Was there a sentence that led to the accusation of infidelity?

Isn't the word 'someone' can be anyone and any gender.

"I'm sorry, but Kana didn't accuse Dad of cheating. Why do you feel accused? Kana was just wondering why Dad insisted on banning Mom from coming when Kana was sure it wouldn't interfere with Dad's work." Kana ignored Joddy's cue telling her not to talk anymore seeing as if the middle-aged man objected to hearing Kana's question. And also ad Ken who looked at them bungent because he did not understand the talk of his parents.

"I'm there for work not for vacation! Is that unclear?"firmly Heru.

"As Kana said earlier, Mother's presence will not make Dad disturbed especially if Kana and Ken come along. The problem of suspicion because Dad used office money I think it is impossible, because after all Dad was one of the founders of the company. Even if there's a suspicion of corruption, it's funny why the founder of the company corrupted?" Kana already does not care about the opinion of the Joddy family against her she just does not have the heart for Jihan if she has to be hurt again with the same people and problems.

Heru almost shouted as he said it even blatantly his index finger pointed towards Kana.

"Why should you be angry anyway? If there's nothing, there's no need to be angry." Ferddy replied in a relaxed tone. In contrast to Joddy who stared in wonder at his wife with a look of tangent. Why would Kana have the courage to say all that?

"There is nothing going on in Bali! You are the only ones who still suspect me! I'm going to work there not on vacation!" heru's task with a dead red face held back the vexation.

"Dad, Cana just-"

"Well, yeah, honey." Jihan interrupted Kana's words and shook her head at the young woman to stop talking, more precisely stopping all her talk.

"I know my mistakes used to be fatal, but what's wrong with trying to change? Can't you guys try to trust me?" Heru sighed tiredly.

Kana snorted inwardly, the middle-aged man was smart at manipulating the situation and saw how her husband looked at her now. Joddy doesn't seem to like everything Kana says.

"Mas, I believe in you." Jihan held Heru's shoulder to try to calm the guilty man.

"But they don't! " Heru looked at Kana sharply. "Here you go, it's free to change if you still doubt me." Heru got up from his seat and left with a wounded look. Jihan rushed over to her husband to try to persuade him.

Joddy exhaled loudly and looked at Kana sharply. Looks like he should talk to his wife alone.

"Ken, did you eat yourself first accompanied by Om Ferddy? Mother same Daddy want to come out for a minute?"

Ken nodded at Joddy who immediately pulled Kana's hand away from Ken.

"Where, why are you talking to me like that? Look, he's angry!" reprimand Joddy he's really scared if his family will stretch back.

"Sister, I don't want to talk if you know! Father-he's, he hasn't changed!"

Joddy frowned." You mean what?"

"Father is still in contact with Laras, Sister!"

Joddy looked at Kana sharply and smiled."Jesus, Baby! Barrels don't even exist in Indonesia!"

"There, Brother. He's back! Last night when you caught me in the living room, I just finished hearing your dad was calling someone, and I'm sure it was Laras."

"No way, dear."

"Believe me, my brother did not lie. Do you remember the day we met at the mall? The same day I also met your father and Laras."

Joddy still smiled and shook his head slowly." I know believing in Dad is hard for Kana. I also know you're afraid I'll do the same thing as Dad. But do not then you assume every thing that Dad did when he would be away from his family an act of cheating again. I know him, he's not gonna fall in the same hole."

Kana stared in disbelief at her husband. " What did you say? Assumptions? Sis! I spoke like that to protect Mom, sister!" exclaim Kana upset.

"Protect from what?"

"From the same pain I once gave Mom!" kana Exclamation .

"Where, please believe me. Try for that. Don't make the mood worse. Dad and Mom have started to rearrange their lives, not just because your assumptions they're stretched back."

Kana clenched her hands tightly, she could not believe Joddy could tell her that.

"If everything Ma'am Kana said is true, how is it, Bang?"

Joddy and Kana turned to look at Fersdy who suddenly entered into their conversation.

"What do you mean?" Joddy looked at Ferddy who was standing leaning on the door frame. Then slowly approached the husband and wife who were busy arguing.

"Everything Kana said is true." Ferddy looked at Kana and smiled as if to make sure she was on her side.

"You're doubting Dad too, Fer?"

Ferddy smiled." No doubt about it anymore. I'm sure already."

"What do you mean, Fer?" ask Joddy again.

"As Ma'am Kana said . The guy we used to call Dad hasn't changed he's still in touch with his affair." Ferddy said calmly but it looked very clear he was holding back the anger.

"You two are why?Clearly Baras-"

"He's in Indonesia!" sela Ferddy quickly made Joddy speechless.

"He's been in Indonesia for a long time . And our father is back in a relationship with him, again. Last night I heard myself he called Laras and made a holiday to Bali."

Joddy's face became tense upon hearing Ferddy's explanation.

"So you're nagging?" kana asked in shock, Ferddy smiled faintly.

"It's more precisely the two of us eavesdropping," Ferddy replied.

Kana grieves then glances at her husband who is just silent might be shocked to hear what Ferddy has to say.

"Bak Kana didn't lie they were in a relationship anymore."

"Unfortunately, you have no proof." The logic of Joddy is still trying to deny everything that his wife and sister said even though his heart began to waver.

"Are two people saying the same thing that's not enough evidence?" Ferddy looked at his brother annoyed.

Joddy just shut his brain thinking hard. Logic and heart try to find the truth of all the facts that Ferddy and Kana reveal.

Kana exhaled a rough breath and looked at her husband. " If this isn't convincing you enough, just look for the evidence yourself. And then you just realized that it turns out you don't know your father too well or maybe your father has indeed changed like never before." Finished talking Kana rushed away leaving Joddy just like that.

Ferddy sighed and looked at his brother." Just admit that our family can't be saved, Bang!" whispered Ferddy while leaving Joddy who was still dumbstruck thinking about everything they both said.
