The First Night of Cana (Angel Without Wings)

Disillusioned

Kana did not enter the house she left the door open when she saw a car enter the yard of her house. Thankfully, the car entered the garage. Kana glanced at the clock on her wrist. At 7 pm, his parents said they would take Ken at 8 because they had to go to the relatives. So, who's visiting her house now?

Kana squinted her eyes to sharpen her vision as the white car stopped. It was like seeing Joddy's parents getting ready to get out of the car. But hopefully Kana saw it wrong because it felt impossible for Joddy's parents to visit his house.

But as soon as I see who's out of that white car. Kana's heart felt like it was about to jump out of place. There's Joddy's parents and also, Laras?

Why did Joddy's parents come to his house? Is it because he met Joddy? There was no serious conversation between him and Joddy. Kana immediately went home with the reason awaited Ken. They both talk about nothing. Including when Laras humiliated him this afternoon. Kana didn't touch him in front of Joddy.

"Tante, Om good night" Kana greeted Joddy's parents. They didn't return Kana's greeting. Only Heru, Joddy's father smiled slightly. Jihan was busy staring around Kana's house while Laras was just staring at Kana coldly.

"Sorry what's wrong?" ask Kana without further ado.

"There's something we want to talk about" said Jihan flatly. Cana watched them one by one and motioned to enter her house.

"What's up, Auntie ?" ask Kana again when they have entered the house.

"You're really shameless huh, Kana!" Jihan looks very angry.

"How do you mean?"

"You're still in touch with Joddy. Still calling him" Jihan said.

"But I never-"

"Please Kana, stop contacting my son, the day of his wedding with Laras just count the days. Aren't you ashamed of flirting with people's husbands? Especially admitting to being pregnant with her. Oh my God, where is your self-esteem! "

Kana lowered her head with a strong clenched hand. It felt like he was arguing against everything that Jihan had accused him of but it felt free. Whatever he says they will never believe.

"So once again appreciate us as Joddy's parents. Leave him, let him go. Just so you know, Laras is pregnant with Joddy's child."

Kana was stunned to hear what Jihan said, so Laras was pregnant as well? Did they do it after Kana came home? Cana's gaze fell on that triumphant smiling Laras.

"So, I hope you understand. Let Joddy marry Laras. Unhand her! Forget her! You hold accountable to the man who has impregnated you. Because we're sure it's not Joddy's son. You're a widow, you can sleep with any man, right?" accuse Jihan.

Kana's heart ached when she heard what Jihan said. Once again his pride is hurt because of the humiliation Jihan gave him. Is that as low as he is in Jihan's eyes?

Kana was still silent, her tongue was twisted. The tears he desperately held nearly dripped from his eye pellet.

"It." Jihan thrust out a thick brown envelope.

"The amount is enough to eat you and your child for a few years or if the father of the child you bear does not want to be responsible, you can use this to abort it" Jihan added.

This time Kana really couldn't stay still she looked at Jihan sharply then pushed the brown envelope back towards Jihan. "Please take it back I don't need the money, Auntie. Aunty take it easy, Aunty's child's marriage with the woman of choice Aunty will still run."

Jihan sneered as Kana refused the money. " It's so arrogant of you! I'm sure you approached my son for money. So why don't you just take this money?"

"Sorry my aunt doesn't need it!"

Kana was pensive to hear it. It is not wrong what Baras said. Kana could work at the bank indeed on Joddy's recommendation. " Let's relax I'll be right out of where I work."

"Good then. If you need to get out of this city if you need to go abroad. Uh, but you have no money to make there?" sindir Jihan then laughs loosely with Laras.

"Yes, no aunt. It only works CS in the bank. Her husband's house. Maybe he'll sell the house if the money's gone." Laras smiled disdainfully towards Kana. Heru had since just silently watched Cana without wanting to speak or argue.

"Enough!" A snaps coming from the direction of the door. A man looked up at the three guests.

"Papa?" kana's hiss was restrained she was shocked when she found Gufron already standing in the doorway. Behind him Maya and Mbok Dar who were hugging.Ken who was asleep stood with a stiff face.

"Stop insulting my daughter and please get out of this house!" Gufron's jaw hardened his eyes sharply towards Jihan.

"Oh, you're Kana's parents. Please yes, her daughter is educated -"

"Shut up! no need to teach me! Please get out of this house!" sela Gufron cut Jihan's words hard. Jihan gasped in shock at the loud noise from Gufron.

"It's Auntie, we better get out of here" suggested Laras. Jihan nodded then the three of them got up from her seat and rushed out of Kana's house.

Gufron looked at Kana sharply, anger clearly visible in his eyes he told Mbok Dar to bring Ken masul into the house and then look back at Kana. "What did they say Kana?"

Kana did not immediately reply she looked down not daring to look at Gufron's face.

"Kana Jawab!!" gufron's snapping left Kana aghast in shock, Gufron's whole new life snapping at him. That indicates Kana's mistake was already fatal.

"Sorry Kana, Pa." Kana knelt hugging Gufron's feet which stood stiffly staring at the beloved Princess.

"Why Kana? Why are you doing?" Gufron's voice began to soften.

"Sorry Kana, Pa, Ma. Cana's wrong. Kana has made Papa and Mama disappointed. Sorry Kana." Kana cried hugging Gufron's leg. Gufron looked down at Kana with nanar.

"Papa can hate Kana. Kana ready Papa's law. Kana's ready if Papa doesn't recognize Kana as Papa's son and Mama again, Kana's ready."

Gufron crouched down to match Kana's height then grabbed Kana's shoulders and looked at her gently. "Papa who apologizes to you, Kana."

Kana gasped when she heard what Gufron said. Maya, who was standing behind her husband, smiled, knowing she could never hate Cana.

"Papa was disappointed with Kana. But Papa is sure this is not Kana's will. Kana Papa is a good boy. Papa apologizes for not knowing what you've been through. Sorry Papa for letting Kana through these tough days alone. Sorry Papa yes, Nduk!" Gufron hugged Kana tightly letting the Princess cry in his arms.

"From now on, Papa will always be there for you and Ken. We're gonna find a way out together, okay?"

Kana nodded in between sobs of her cries hugged Gufron very tightly.

"From now on no one will insult you" whispered Gufron rubbing Kana's head gently. He promised not to let one pum insult his son.
