The First Night of Cana (Angel Without Wings)

Resigning

Gio shook Kana's hand tightly with a sincere smile on his lips. "I'm actually sorry you resigned from here Kana. Because actually the board of directors has another solution to the problem that was yesterday. But we can't force you to keep working. May you be comfortable in your new workplace."

Kana nods and smiles, her decision has been unanimous to resign from her workplace now. He will follow his father's advice. Move out of town and settle there with Ken and Ken's future sister.

"Thank you sir, I'm sorry if there's been a wrong word when we've been working together."

"Either. Success yes, Na in a new place."

Kana nodded in response to Gio's words, she then walked out of the room of her boss to say goodbye to her friends.

Key was most sad when Kana said goodbye because they were quite close. Key had already regarded Cana as his own brother because their age was not far adrift.

"I'll miss you, Na. Often video calls yes even if you are abroad," Key's message heard that Kana just chuckles amusedly and hugs Key once again before finally getting out of the building. Kana stared once more at the majestic building in front of her before her feet stepped towards her car.

"Where!"

A voice uncovers Kana to open her car door.

"Pak Dipta." Kana nodded politely.

"Surprising. Why should I resign?" tanya Dipta looked at her cousin's dead love. Must be Dipta admitted Kana is beautiful behavior is also good no wonder if Joddy chasing after him desperately.

"Yes, Sir. There's a job offer out of town." Kana has started to be good at lying indeed, because there is no job offer wherever Kana just wants to avoid Joddy according to Jihan's request.

"Bang Joddy knows?"

Kana smiled bitterly, then shook her head slowly. " Sister Joddy doesn't need to know, sir."

"Wouldn't it be better to see him first?" tanya Dipta was curious to see the reaction of Kana who was just silent. " As long as you know, Na. He's quite frustrated with everything that's going on."

Kana shook her head slowly." Sorry Sir. We have our own lives. Let him be happy with his mother's choice and I'll be happy with my own."

Somehow Dipta felt that Kana was trying to hide the wound when she said it.

"Then how about -" Dipta said, her eyes falling toward Kana's stomach which still looked flat.

Kana knows where the direction of the conversation is. "He'll be fine without his dad." Kana looked down and stroked her stomach slowly.

"But Kana, Bang Joddy is trying to"

"Please tell him sir, it's been over since his mother made me realize that I don't deserve him" said Kana, clutching the end of the shirt he was wearing, restraining all pent-up anger while remembering all the insults of Jihan and Laras to him.

"Sorry, I have to go home soon. Thank you, sir for giving me the opportunity to work here." Kana nodded politely and immediately got into her car, leaving Dipta still standing in her place.

The thing Joddy did when he heard Kana quit her job was to go to her house. He must be able to make sure Kana doesn't go anywhere. She doesn't want Kana to just walk away after what Joddy did to her.

"Om, let me meet with Kana," Joddy's pinta expectantly looked inside the house from behind Gufron's back which blocked him from entering.

"For what? Hurt her?" Gufron stared at Joddy.

"I know, I was wrong Om. Please give me a chance to fix everything." Joddy stared expectantly at Gufron. Joddy knew Gufron was very angry with him. His favorite daughter was hurt.

"I've told you to stop and stay away from Kana if your parents don't like it and you confidently say you will fight, but in fact what? Kana is pregnant, you are engaged to another woman and the one that hurts my heart the most as a parent, my beloved daughter is insulted by your parents!" Gufron let out all his anger at Joddy.

"I mean Om, my parents-"

Gufron stared cynically at Joddy." Your parents came here with your fiancee. They insulted Kana with words that deeply hurt my daughter's feelings."

Joddy was stunned when he heard Gufron's words. "What right?"

"You think I'm lying?"

Joddy looked at Maya to make sure what Gufron said was not true but Maya was just a silent woman who was usually full of smiles at Joddy was now turned into a cold figure.

"For a lifetime, I never once snapped or uttered words that hurt Cana, but both of your parents did. Do you think as a parent, I'll just shut up? No!" Gufron's eyes glazed over as he remembered how his favorite daughter's face looked when he heard what Jihan and Laras said. Very hurt but could only remain silent, even when Gufron imagined Kana being run over at his workplace by Laras. Hearing the story directly from Cana alone Gufron's heart felt torn apart.

"So, I'll take Kana away because you've hurt her too deeply. The child is already experiencing the pain of losing her husband and I don't want her to feel the same pain. So, before I go deeper I'll take her away from you and your family as you asked my daughter."

Joddy groped slowly. He will not go anywhere. "No, Om. Please give me a sash"

"No more chances for you! Get out of my son's life, let him be happy with his own life!" gufron.

"But Om, Kana is pregnant with my child."

"No problem. I heard your fiancee is pregnant too. So, just take care of the child in the stomach of your fiancee. It's our business."

"No Om, please! I can't just let Kana go Om. I love Kana."

"But you let your parents insult my son!" jolt Gufron." So, from now on forget about Kana. He'll be fine without you." Gufron prepares to close the door but Joddy prevents him.

"I don't know what my parents did to Kana. But I apologize for that. I beg you not to take Kana away, Om."

"Even if you beg and kneel at my feet, my decision will not change." Gufron stared straight at Joddy.

"Forget over my son and build your new life without Kana" Gufron said, closing the door without Joddy stopping.

As soon as the door closed Joddy felt Kana's heart was closed to him and to make it open he had to fight hard again.

If Gufron thought he would give up, no. Joddy's not gonna give up. He will still fight to get Kana's heart and get Gufron's blessing.
