Carren looked at Aaric who was waiting for his answer seriously. He realized, Aaric was making sure of his heart and he had to be honest. He remembered his mother's words. 'Honesty is the basis for building a good relationship. If you can't be honest with one another, it's better not to continue the relationship. Because you're going to deceive him and yourself.'

Carren saw that in Aaric's attitude, telling the truth by telling her past. Aaric must have wished that he could behave the same way as her. "No, Brother. Ever since she got married, we never met or communicated again. I don't know where he lives now, because there's never any news of him." Carren told me about Recky who never contacted him again. He also doesn't know where Recky is. Aaric still looked at Carren seriously.

"Did he love you?" Aaric asked seriously, because something was not right for him. If that man loves Carren why marry another woman. He also wanted to know, so that the man did not become a bully of their future relationship.

"According to what he said the last time we met, he loved me. We had to split up because there was something that could not be avoided. Situations and conditions that make us unable to continue our relationship." Carren said quietly, considering the first time he met with Recky in his study. How Recky was so hurt when he said he loved her and they had to part ways. Aaric still looked at Carren with a clueless look.

Seeing Aaric's clueless gaze, Carren tried to explain well so as not to misunderstand. "Look, Brother. Sometimes we are in a situation that we cannot avoid and must make decisions. Sometimes that decision can hurt others or ourselves. He is in a condition of having to make a decision and his decision may have hurt his heart. He didn't call or tell me that was also part of his decision, because he was already the husband of someone." Carren said softly, and still lowered his head.

"I decided not to expect it. Because if I wish there was a relationship between us, it's the same as if I wish he'd divorced his wife. That's so evil." Carren remembered what his mother said.

"I am now with Brother Aaric, not as an escape, but as a true love brother. Regarding him, I'm sorry, brother. Despite not knowing his whereabouts, I always prayed for him. I keep praying for him, because he did a lot of good things for me. He was present at my difficult time and helped me in many ways. Because of him, I can be like this. We parted well, and I have promised to pray for him." Carren said quietly, and hoped Aaric could understand and accept it.

"This is not part of still loving her, but part of the person who knows himself and does not forget himself. I can't repay all her kindness, so can only pray that God bless her." Carren said slowly, hoping Aaric could accept. Actually, to pray, Aaric would not know if he prayed for Recky, but he wanted to be open, so as not to be a problem and feel guilty to Aaric when praying for Recky.

"Arra, I'm fine if you want to pray for someone else. Because it has to do with God. Shouldn't we pray for each other? What matters now is that you know who's in front of you." Said Aaric while pointing at his face with a finger. Carren, who was worried, hugged Aaric tightly when he saw the twinkle in his eyes.

"Thank you, Brother. I could not have told you about this prayer. But I'd feel guilty if I prayed and didn't tell my sister." Carren said with relief.

"Now you must put my name on your prayer list. So that in the future I can be a better person, especially for you." Said Aaric while kissing the shoulder of Carren who was hugging him.

"We've talked about this enough. You already know a little about me, so don't give up on fighting for something you think is good. Don't let situations or conditions pressure you into making decisions you'll regret." Said Aaric, stroking Carren's back.

"We live in a world where it's impossible to tell what's going to happen one step ahead of us. So I like to say this to the people I love, and to remind me, because I love myself." Aaric said firmly and seriously.

"Now I tell you, and remind me. Let us leave behind the thoughts that make us weak. Everything that happened in the past, there is something that can weaken our hearts and minds to step. But there are also parts of the past that can give you the strength to build something good. Hold the mind that gives strength to you, that it may endure and fight." Aaric said that from his life experience.

"Now you better rest, don't stay up with me. Your condition is not healthy, tomorrow you can not work. Come on, get back to bed and get some rest. Don't think I'm leaving." Aaric then held Carren's arm to take her back to bed. Carren could not resist, as his eyes were already heavy and his heart was calmer. He did not want to show sadness, would part with Aaric so as not to burden his steps.

"If it's definitely time to return to Jakarta, I'll let you know. So you can arrange a time and place reservation for dinner with your parents. I'll meet with them and ask for permission, before coming home to formally propose to you." Aric said as Carren lay down. He wanted Carren to be able to calm down when he left later. Then Aaric stepped back onto the sofa to rest for a moment.

"I'm just staying with Mama, Brother Aaric. Papa died a long time ago, when I was a kid. So I'll talk to Mama when I get home from here." Carren spoke softly, while pulling the blanket to cover his body.

Aaric was stunned to hear what Carren said. He went back to the bed, then looked down and kissed Carren's old forehead while rubbing his head. "I'm sorry, for not knowing that." His whisper, while continuing to stroke Carren's head. "Stay by my side." Aaric's whisper again then rattled Carren's hair fondly.

"Now, sleep well. If you wake up in the morning and I'm leaving, don't forget to pray for my flight." Said Aaric, then raised his hand from Carren's head whose eyes began to dim. Carren nodded strongly to reassure and strengthen Aaric.

Aaric returned to the sofa and tidied up the bad cover on the sofa for his place to lie down. He simply looked at the ceiling of the room, without being able to break his eyes. He came to understand what Carren had to say about the man's presence and help during his difficult times. He concentrated on securing Carren from his Mama, so had not had time to check on Carren's family background.

By three o'clock, Aaric took out his bag and suit slowly without making a sound, so as not to wake Carren who was sleeping soundly. He approached Carren's bed and rubbed his head slowly, tidied Carren's blanket and walked out of the room. Where security members have been waiting to bring all their luggage.
