Carren did not expect the nickname to have such a tremendous meaning to both of his parents. He looked at his mother with teary eyes, then nodded in understanding. Then she finished her milk, and then stood hugging her mother affectionately.
"Arra did not think the name meant so much to Papa. Now Arra understands and is proud to be called that. Thanks for saying it, Ma." Carren said as he kissed Mama's cheek and let go of her embrace.
"Good sleep, Ma. Arra rest first, yeah." Carren said again, then went into his room. Miss Nancy looked at her daughter's back with a look of wonder and her heart wondered. What happened to his daughter. Why suddenly ask about the name, after decades of hearing it.
When in the room, he saw his personal cell phone light flickering. He took it and opened it, maybe someone called or sent him a message. When she saw that there was a misscall of Aaric's name, Carren held her chest with his left hand, then sent a message for her.
"Good night, sir. Sorry, I was in the shower. How, Sir?" Fill in Carren's message to Aaric. He didn't know how to call Aaric. Looking at age, it seemed to be older than him. Looking at his attitude and manner of speaking, it seemed like he was no ordinary person. Carren thought so, seeing the luxury car behind his car and also the driver could easily comply with his request.
Suddenly his phone shook, and Aaric's name appeared on his phone screen. It turned out that Aaric did not reply to Carren's message, but directly contacted him. Aaric, who had thought Carren was not responding to the call as he asked, was a little relieved when he received Carren's message.
๐ฑ"Allooo, Arra. I'm interrupting?" Aaric asked, as Carren responded to his call. He thought Carren was about to take a break as it was said in the car. That's why he called after he felt the time had been enough from the time Carren arrived home.
๐ฑ"No, Sir. I just need a break." Carren replied hesitatingly with his own answer.
๐ฑ"Good. Why do you call me that? Am I so old that I should call me that?" Aaric was uncomfortable with Carren's call.
๐ฑ"No, Sir. I just ..." Carren's speech came to a halt, as Aaric cut off his speech.ย
๐ฑ"Call by my name only, as I call you." Aaric said firmly, because Carren's call to him made a wide distance between them. Aaric doesn't like that.
๐ฑ"Good, Brother. Let me call you like this, so I can comfortably say hello." Pinta Carren, because she could feel the tone of dislike in Aaric's speech. There was a feeling of worry, if Aaric was angry with her. So he started trying not to be formal. Because Aaric himself was not being formal to him.
๐ฑ"Good, as comfortable as you. Are you busy tomorrow?" Aaric's question softened, as he realized there was something different in Carren's tone of voice.
๐ฑ"Yes, Brother." Carren replied briefly.
๐ฑ"But you have to eat, right?" Ask Aaric again.
๐ฑ"Yes, Brother." Carren replied briefly. Makes Aaric wooed.
๐ฑ"Arra, are you with someone else?" Ask Aaric to make sure what comes to his mind.
๐ฑ"You're married?" Aaric asked back, as he regained his senses. It's possible that Carren is married and there's a husband next to her. He patted his forehead slowly, forgetting to ask Sapta to investigate Carren's status.
๐ฑ"Ooh, not yet Brother." Answer Carren who is beginning to understand the direction of Aaric's question.
๐ฑ"Jeez, Arra. You made me think I was talking to somebody's wife. Don't you have any other answers, other than yes or no?" Aaric asked with a slightly relieved heart, knowing Carren's status.
๐ฑ"Yes, Brother. Sorry, I'm learning, how good it is to answer the question." Carren replied slowly, as he himself felt his brain was arguably intelligent, unable to think well when Aaric called out his name.
๐ฑ"Ooh, ok. I forgot, this is the first time we've ever communicated. Tomorrow night, make time for dinner with me. What time do you want to be picked up and where?" Aaric asked, without giving Carren a chance to think, let alone refuse.
๐ฑ"Sister Aaric share loc and tell me the clock. I will be there after work. Thank you for inviting me." Carren replied, because he himself felt it was a gift to meet Aaric again. His manner and attitude towards Carren made him feel like he had met her.
๐ฑ"OK, after this I will share loc and send time for you. Now rest. See you tomorrow." Aaric said and breathed a sigh of relief. Because Carren was willing to accept his request. He ended the conversation after Carren saluted him. Not forgetting she texted Carren after asking Jekob to reserve a place for her.
.***.
The next day, after work Carren changed his work clothes with clothes that had been prepared from home. He doesn't have a car and doesn't want to be driven by Ichad. They have a lot of work and have to work late. Carren wouldn't waste their time driving her.
After being tidy and feeling enough time to travel to the restaurant, Carren booked a car online to drive him to Goropaku Restaurant. He had been to the restaurant once with Parry, so a little bit familiar with the neighborhood. He was wearing proper clothes, according to the place and the person who invited him to dinner.
Upon arriving at the restaurant, along with Aaric who had walked from the parking lot to the restaurant. He deliberately brought his own car from the office. When he saw Carren coming down from the black Avanz, Aaric's eyebrows clutched. He walked quickly closer to Carren who was about to enter the restaurant.
"Arra, who are you taking?" Aaric asked while aligning his steps beside Carren. Aaric couldn't hold back his curiosity, because it wasn't Carren's car last night. Carren immediately held onto his chest with his left hand, shocked to learn Aaric was already standing next to him.
"So I used the car online, brother. Because I'm leaving straight from the office." Carren said quietly, seeing Aaric ask him seriously.
"Let's go in first, then we'll talk inside." Said Aaric while letting Carren in. Then he mentioned the name of Jekob to the waiters who welcomed them. When he heard the name, waiters were respectful towards them. Because Jekob has reserved a private place for his boss.
After sitting down, Aaric gestured to the waiters that they had not ordered a menu, as Aaric wanted to talk to Carren. He just asked for mineral water.
After being left behind by the waiters, Aaric looked at Carren seriously. "Arra, why don't you bring your car?" Aaric asked, looking at Carren. When he saw Carren get off his car, he further strengthened his assumption that Carren was not using his car. He had been looking all the way, the GPRS mounted on Carren's car was not moving. Aaric thought to himself if Carren had not come to dinner with him.
