The Antagonist's Full Moon

The Antagonist's Full Moon
45. New Chapter

Four years later.

"Who would like to request an autograph and shake hands with author Dean Prayogo, please line up here, yes!"

A number of readers lined up in front of the table occupied by Dean. Currently, the man is attending a script surgery event in the famous Mall area in the city. Dean became one of the speakers, along with other famous writers, in seminars and meetings held in person by the online platform where he wrote.

Writers other than Dean participated. Of course, this event is increasingly enlivened with the enthusiasm of thousands of readers who come to meet their favorite writers.

Dean had prepared with a black inked pen in hand. Four years have passed since his brief comatose event in the chamber, which could never be explained scientifically. Dean never shared his story with anyone, if he ever stuck in the world of novels he wrote himself and met with his fictional characters. He might be considered crazy.

"Sister, ask for his autograph!" A fan presented Dean's work that had been published in print to the man. Soon he opened the first page and wrote the name "Dean Prayogo" there.

"Thank you, yeah!" dean exclaimed, smiling pleasantly. Although it was just a smile, it was already a big thing for a Dean. Usually, the man is thin, unfriendly when dealing with strangers.

"Sister, I want one thing, okay?" ask the fan. Dean looked up, curious. "Ask what?"

"What made Dean finally change Liv's story? Is it because of the criticism that Dean's sister has received?"

Dean hesitated for a moment to hear the question, then replied, "I realized that my concept of the antagonist was less mature. And it's true, my reader friends say, I was too sadistic to write about the end of Liv Themaris' life, even though she had a sad background."

"But, doesn't Brother Dean also have a lot of supporters who like the way you write antagonists like that?" ask the fan again.

Dean sighed. "Well, I don't know. Maybe because I've been feeling sorry for a long time too."

"Pity? But he's just a wreath?"

Dean laughed at his statement. "Yes, indeed. But one night, I had a dream of being approached by Liv who was protesting against me, hehehe!"

"Is that so?" The fan was apparently still dissatisfied to hear Dean's answer.

How else. How could the man reveal that he had met the antagonist who became the debate, then fell in love with him. Dean Prayogo may be labeled as a writer who is obsessed with his own character.

An hour later, the event was closed and all participants went home. It's almost afternoon. After chatting a little with fellow writers, it was time for Dean to come home. Not to the rented room, but immediately went to his mother's house in the village.

For the past four years, Dean has decided not to continue with his room rental and chose to live in the village with his mother and sister. Even though that meant sacrificing an internet network that was not smooth when it rained, Dean did not think about it anymore.

Dean bought a garden of fruits and vegetables for his mother, so that she would no longer be a farm worker. On that land, Dean set up a chicken coop and built a small catfish pond. So, his mother does not need to slam bones anymore, earn a living with great difficulty.

Although the small garden and farm is not necessarily making money, at least they will not lack daily food because they can harvest from their own land.

Today, Dean's daily activities are to help his mother take care of the garden and livestock in the morning, then write from day to night before going to bed. If there is no call to be a speaker at the seminar, of course.

Dean had just come home and was about to go to the room, when his sister said hello, "New home, Brother?"

Dean nodded, then looked at Delia who was wearing a work shirt. "Where did it come from?"

Four years have passed, Delia has graduated college on time with a full scholarship. Now, Delia's activity is to find work while waiting for graduation. How much his achievements have proud of his family, including Dean.

"Continue?"

"I'm accepted!" delia semringah.

Dean scrunched his forehead. "Working in the city? Want to stay there?"

"It's just in the next town, right! I can still drive home on the bike, hehe!" exclaim Delia while grimacing.

Dean smiled, then stroked his sister's head as he passed, "Congratulations, yes!"

Delia looked at the back of her brother who was about to enter the room, and chanted, "Sister brother came home from dating?"

"Huh? I have a girlfriend! It's from the seminar, so the speaker."

"Oh, another seminar, anyway." Delia was weaving her mouth. "When can I have a sister-in-law, if my brother's crazy working continues like that!"

Dean chuckles. "There are you!"

Dean went into the room and locked the door. Leaning at the door, the man let out a long sigh. His eyes were fixed on the computer that was on, on the writing table in the hadpaan.

A wallpaper with a picture of Liv Themaris on the desktop monitor. An artist described the character at Dean's request, shortly after he finished changing the script. The goal is for Dean not to forget about the elf girl. The artist's drawings were quite satisfying, as they were really similar to the Liv Dean had met.

There's no way I can forget him Dean said in his heart.

Then, he walked up to his computer, looking for the "Wasted Prince" script file on the dashboard on the online platform he wrote. Dean reopened the completed chapters even down to the epilogue.

The script is complete and nothing has been edited for the past four years. Pros and cons come from readers, but Dean doesn't care. The man knows he's done the right thing for Liv, the girl he can't forget.

His mind was always on the elf girl. Dean has been plagued by questions about whether his editing of the script really changed the life story of Liv and Frode, or had no effect at all. Dean was so curious, that every night Liv was always present in his dreams.

Although various activities filled Dean's days as a famous writer today, but honestly he felt empty. She longed for her adventures with the elf girl, but she could never return to the novel world again.

Dean's eyes are fixed on the menu symbolized by a circle-shaped plus sign located in the bottom right corner of the screen. That's a menu to add a new chapter. Dean pensively felt his cursor move by itself clicking on the menu. Dean was faced with a blank sheet in front of the screen.

Slowly, Dean started typing, what he had been holding. His longing for Liv Themaris made him do this.
