36. Genuine Personality

"Sister! You're here?" Liv asked as her eyes widened.

Supposedly, Melian was still in the capital, living in the house that Liv had just left almost a week ago. Even more shocking was when Liv saw a row of heavily armed soldiers marching behind Melian.

"Why are you so surprised to see me? Oh, apparently your skin color's changed, huh?" Melian watches Liv from head to toe.

"Ah, yes, I didn't expect Brother to get here. In fact, yesterday the road was still closed due to a landslide!" exclaim Liv happy.

"I can fly the vehicle I'm riding, you forget?" answer Melian.

Liv gets to meet her brother once again. Of course he was happy. The girl ran over to her sister, about to hug her. But what happened was beyond a doubt. Melian brushed aside Liv's two hands, then walked past her, peeking to the inner side of the cave.

"What are you looking for, brother?" There was panic heard in Liv's voice, and her brother noticed.

Melian asked, "Where is your friend? I haven't seen him since."

"Te-friend what-- Brother, don't!"

Liv tries to prevent Melian from going further into the cave, but her own steps are stopped by two warrior spears. The magic flames on the two spears were hot and continued to burn even though they were stuck to the ground crosswise. Liv turned her head in shock at the two soldiers, then at Melian.

"Sister! What does all this mean!" Liv yelling.

Melian turned around smilingly. "Your human friend, where is he?"

"Man friend what--"

"Java!!"

Liv got jumped, so shocked at Melian's scream. Both the eyes of the brother look so sad, fierce. Like not Melian who Liv knows, who has been a kind and gentle figure.

"Th-that ...."

"Liv, what's wrong?"

Dean's voice suddenly appeared. The man looked up and walked out of the cave, unaware of any danger. Dean's steps come to a halt when he sees Liv being held hostage by the soldiers. Dean gasped, he realized there was a figure of Melian before him.

At once, Liv spontaneously shouted, "Dean, lariii!!"

Melian immediately launched a magic attack on Dean, upon hearing Liv's scream. Dean immediately dodged, trying to escape into the cave. However, his intention was forced to stop, the armpits he heard Melian's threat. "I'll kill Liv if you dare to run away from me!"

Dean's body is sculpted. Liv was surprised to hear the threat.

"Ka-kakak .. why ...?" Liv asked stammeredly, she really did not understand at all.

Melian didn't take a headache. The girl did not ponder her sister's question at all. He enlists the soldiers to capture Dean, then leads him along with Liv to the dungeon of Themaris castle.

Liv can't move much. His hands and feet were attached to iron ball chains. There are circular iron handcuffs on both wrists. He could only sit still.

Liv used to think, that his room had been the worst in the capital, only a rickety mattress in a narrow room. The prison is much worse. Liv has never been to this place before. There wasn't much lighting in a dungeon like this, just two candle sticks in the farthest corner, near the guard table.

The iron bars are located not far from where Liv is now. Behind it, he could see the cell where Dean was held. Both the man's hands and feet were handcuffed and chained to the same iron pattern as Liv's. His body did not wear a single piece of cloth, until it was revealed the color of his brown skin, black hair and round ears. The fact that Dean was a human was exposed already.

Liv really can't believe that her brother would do something like this. Liv thinks Melian will always support Liv, in whatever case it is.

"Something must be wrong. Brother can't be! Melian's sister is a very nice person. All this time she was the one who took care and defended when I was bullied by the others! There's no way my brother is like that!" liv shouted, not accepting the reality.

Dean looked towards Liv who was inside the opposite cell. Dean himself was also confused over Melian's attitude. Indeed, it was possible that he was arrested for his human figure. However, the man is confused as to why Liv should also be thrown in jail with him.

In fact, Dean always wrote the character of Melian as an angel. There's no way Melian in the novel can do this to Liv, even though Liv has turned out to be the strongest antagonist. In fact, when Liv's character eventually dies at Haldir's hands, Melian is the first to cry for her sister.

However, looking at what had happened just now, it was as if Melian's personality had changed completely. Like a whole different person than what Dean wrote.

There was a sound of langakh feet coming down the stone steps on the side of the room. The soldier who was standing guard greeted. The figure that Dean and Liv thought of was wearing a white and maroon dress, walking towards the cell where they were held while carrying candle candles.

Melian turned to Liv who sat down for a moment, then turned her eyes to Dean's cell. Melian smiled amusedly looking at the two of them. From the smile, it turned into the sound of a sinister, evil shrill laugh.

Liv really did not believe in what she was seeing before her eyes at this moment. Her tears started to drip down her cheeks.

"Sister .. Why has Melian changed? All this time, Brother never yelled at me ... Melian's sister has always been nice to me .. but why now--"

"Because all this time I've been holding myself back. To be honest, I have long wanted to be free from my role as a kind brother!" sahut Melian, cut Liv's question while snoring. "I also didn't expect to have to bring out my true personality any faster than it is today."

"Role? Real personality? What does that mean, brother?"

Upon hearing Liv's question just now, Melian frowned. Then, he laughed out loud, until it sounded roaring on the underground floor.

"Ah, it turns out to be a fool, this one Liv character!" melian exclaimed in between her laughter, then turned her eyes to Dean in the right cell. "You wrote about Liv this is really a package deal, yes, Author! It's whiny, despicable, flawed, stupid anyway!"

Dean gasps. Melian called her real name, plus mentioned the author's call.

That call is commonly referred to by readers on writers on online platforms! This is impossible .. it is impossible for him ... .

"Ah, apparently you're shocked too, huh, Author Dean? Don't you recognize me?" Melian asked, walking closer to Dean's cell.

Melian looked at Dean fixedly from outside the bars. "I'm your big fan! The most loyal fan, who is ready to support whatever your work is, and ready to attack any ignorant critic who blasphemes the storyline you have written!"

"Fan faithful ...? Don't-don't, you are ... ."

Melian smiled broadly. "Yes, my name is Rika, the head of your fan group, Dean!"
