The Antagonist's Full Moon

The Antagonist's Full Moon
40. Sacrifice

"Hunchedkk!!" Frode spontaneously shouted a warning. He forced Dean's head down to bend down together. Liv does the same thing while continuing to hold the oxin control rope.

"That's Melian, with the soldiers!" peekit Dean's.

"Miss Liv! How'this?" frode asked in panic. Liv looked back for a moment. Both of his eyes stared in horror at Melian's troops. Meanwhile, the soldiers prepared to fire the next row of magic arrows.

"Liv, do something!" exclaim Dean. Liv nodded with her eyes straight ahead.

"I'll make a layer of fog balls. It'll take a few minutes. Protect me while concentrating!" exclamation Liv.

Inside the cart were wooden barrels filled with fruits. Dean had the initiative to throw the fruits at the soldiers.

"Wear this, sir! Elves are weak in physical defense. Throw the right one towards the heads of the hawkers they rode!" dean's orders.

Dean and Frode took all the fruit supplies and started throwing. Some throws had missed, but in the end hit the head of the giant bird. Hawker who was pelted into a screwdriver, then fell, carrying the soldier who climbed the saddle.

"Look! Come, again!" Dean and Frode again launch an attack. The soldiers retaliated by throwing a row of magic arrows back. Dean and Frode took refuge behind the wooden barrels of fruit. The two of them did not worry about Liv as her fog automatically protected the girl's body from any attacks.

However, the supply of fruits that were on the wagon was exhausted. Now, Dean and Frode could only take cover from the soldiers' attacks, without being able to retaliate in the slightest.

"Why bring the fruit is not much, sir!" dean's Nagging.

Frode immediately replied, "Where do I know that a war like this will be used! That one was even leftover fruits for rujak!"

Before long, Dean realized, from all over Liv's body came out a white mist that formed a layer of transparent balls enveloping the entire section of the cart. Now there was a shield between Frode's wagon and Themaris' army.

Sure enough, that layer of fog dispelled all the magic arrows of the soldiers. Dean squinted his eyes, afraid that the arrow could be penetrated towards him. But apparently not. All those magic arrows hit the layers of Liv mist, then disappeared just like that.

Melian is not out of her mind. He formed a spear just like the one previously thrown at Dean, only much larger in size.

Melian aimed her spear towards Liv's fog layer, intending to destroy it. Melian stood on the saddle of the hawker bird with a great balance, then took a swing and threw the weapon strongly.

"Awass!!" shouted Frode.

The magic spear struck and struck the layer closest to Frode's head. The tip of the blade is trying to penetrate through the layer, causing great electric current friction. Slowly but surely, the layers began to crack little by little.

"Liv, the protective layer!" Dean's Sweats.

Liv panicked, her sweat drenching her forehead. He shook his head and said, "I should focus on flying this wagon and making both oxins calm. I can't fully concentrate on three different magic at once!"

Melian saw that her sister had done nothing to the magic spear that had struck. He took advantage of the opportunity. The girl made a second magic spear. Then, Melian took the same twitch and threw her weapon forcefully, this time in a different layer area from the first spear.

The same crack occurred, caused by the second spear. As soon as the second one came along, the oxin wagon that Dean, Frode, and Liv rode on was smeared, losing its balance.

"Liv!"

"Sorry! I can't do much!" sahut Liv panicked.

"Then speed up your flight!" Dean gave me a suggestion. Liv also complied. The girl accelerated the wagon. Dean and Frode held on tight. A gust of wind felt like it wanted to blow the two of them backwards. Empty wooden barrels rolled in the cabin. However, Liv's efforts turned out to be free. Melian's troops could chase at equivalent speed.

From the back, Melian was ready to wield her third magic spear. This third weapon was thrown in the middle of the layer area. Once planted, large cracks are seen in the protective layer. The ball of white fog broke into pieces and disappeared, leaving Dean, Frode and Liv without the slightest protection.

"Agh!"

"Sir Frode!" dean shouted, as Frode began to be hit by the attacks of magic arrows that came after their protective layer broke. The arrow hit the face, darting to the tip of the right ear.

"I'm fine, but we can't keep this up!" Frode wiped the blood of the greenish-white elf on his cheek, then continued, "I have an idea. Miss Liv, slow down!"

"What?! What do you want to do!" ask Liv wonder.

Frode shouted, "Just do it, before they shoot again!"

At the back, Melian and his troops were preparing the next row of arrow shots. Liv obeyed Frode and lowered his speed.

"What are you going to do, sir?!" dean asked astonished as Frode took a swipe, facing back where Melian's men were chasing. The distance of the cart and they're getting closer. Dean was still sheltering behind a wooden barrel, but Frode was not. The pose at this time seemed to want to jump on top of the hawker that Melian was riding.

"Sir, don't tell me you're gonna--"

"Son Dean, listen. You must make it back to your home world. Don't forget to change your script, to give you the best destiny for me and Miss Liv" Frode said. His tone was like saying goodbye words.

Then, Frode turned to look at Dean with a smile. "Don't forget me!"

"Sir!!" The thing Dean was afraid of happened. Frode leaped towards the hawker that Melian was riding on. The old man hung around the hawker's long neck, spontaneously giving the animal a shock. Especially Melian. The girl widened her eyes as Frode dared to jump and disrupt the direction of his vehicle.

"What the fuck!! Move over!!" melian shouted in panic.

Frode quickly climbed up the bird's neck and hugged Melian, for her to stop throwing her magic spear again. The soldiers flying behind Melian could not stop Frode's actions.

"Let go!!" melian shouted trying to thrash. Frode hugged Melian with all his might until both of his hands slipped off the control rope.

"I won't let you do anything!"

In the next instant, Frode dropped to the far land below a hundred meters high, carrying Melian in a paddle.

"Sir!!" Spontaneous Dean screaming. Before long, both of his cheeks were wet with tears. Her first friend in this world of elves, had sacrificed herself to be able to return her to the origin world.

Liv's back on speed. His tears were spilled without him being able to avoid what had happened. Meanwhile, the soldiers behind them had lost the leader. Some are chasing Melian who fell. Others are at a loss for anything but to continue hunting Dean and Liv with their magic arrows, not knowing what the real reason behind the chase is.

Dean put away all the empty barrels that were the weight of the cart, dropping them to the ground. Now, only Liv and Dean live on Frode's empty wagon.

"We must not waste Mr. Frode's sacrifice ... Liv, speed up the train."

"All right ... ."

Liv spurred twice as fast as before. At the end of the vision, there had been a row of mountains whose peaks were shrouded in thick fog. Finally, they reached the Nautabu Mountains.
