The Antagonist's Full Moon

The Antagonist's Full Moon
11. Slum Settlements

Note: (2 Apr 2023) Sorry, there is a change of writing from Chapters 7-11, can be reread to better understand Dean's arrogant nature. The scene of Dean calling dad is replaced by calling mom (who died and dad). However, the groove remains the same, so not being reread is also okay. Thank you, happy reading.

Haldir Legolas, after being discovered by the king's younger brother in a village, was taken to the kingdom and placed in a position as a successor to the previous king.

The background of his mother who was only a village girl made Haldir receive a lot of scorn around. However, Haldir managed to prove that he deserved to be king. Led by Haldir, the Kingdom of Legolas received many news of the victory of war against the surrounding kingdoms. Haldir successfully expanded the territory of Legolas Kingdom and made his name to the whole world.

The story of Haldir Legolas managed to make Dean reap profits of tens of millions of rupiah since it began to be written. Until Delia, her sister, no longer constrained the cost to complete school.

However, of all that he managed to remember, there was nothing that Dean thought could be used as a way back to his home world.

Nah! I can definitely find a way to get back home! If it is true that I have undergone transmigration, I can definitely return! I'm not dead! I'm just dizzy in my room, I'm not dead!

Dean refuses to believe that he is dead, until his soul moves the world as it usually does in parallel world stories.

Dean's sure, he's alive. There were still many things he had not done in his home world. Moreover, the story of "The Wasted Prince" had yet to be finished. Dean has not seen his family yet.

The man had not had time to congratulate Delia on her graduation. He also had not seen his sister succeed, so a successful person to be proud of.

Mama ... Delia .. I refuse to die before I can meet them again!

"Oh, that's it!!" There was a screaming sound, shocking Dean. The man looked. Ren the red-haired elf was standing not far from where Dean was. He managed to find Dean under a bridge, by the river.

Finding himself in danger of returning, Dean immediately moved on, jumping up. He was almost exposed to Ren's magic directed at him. The magic missed, even hit the surface of the river water until the water flow was turbulent.

It seems that the redhead is not adept at controlling the direction of his magic shot, Dean said in his heart.

Dean turned around and laughed, before finally running back. Ren was, of course, infuriated to be treated that way by humans.

"Si*lan! Gale! Yich! Found it!" ren shouted, calling his two comrades. Now complete already the colorful trio of red lights, chasing Dean back.

In the middle of it all, Dean's brain kept turning to find a solution. He believes that if a multisemitic theory existed, and he was in another universe at this time, Dean would have found a way to go home.

In science fiction movies, there is usually a portal door to cross into another universe ... .

Oh, I remember! Yes, yes, I can go home, the way Haldir used in chapter 67!

In the chapter that Dean wrote, the main character went somewhere to strengthen himself, before fighting the evil character who is very strong.

I know where to go now. The sacred temple of Lileathhof!

"Feel this!" Yich the yellow-haired elf, re-launched his magic. In just one hand movement, a mini black cloud appeared in the air and grabbed Dean's running foot with lightning.

"Akhich!" Dean ran into a whiff when his right leg was struck. Yes, since entering the world of this novel, Dean does not wear footwear.

If only I had been in my room wearing sandals or shoes before moving into this world! the weakness in the heart.

Fortunately, Dean had no trouble walking the streets of Legolas Kingdom. The soil is fertile blackish brown and rarely there are pebbles scattered. Everything looks neat, like what Dean wrote as a middle-class residential capital.

However, even though Dean's run had no significant obstacles, being constantly chased like this made him unable to think clearly about the sacred portal temple he had just managed to remember as the way home to the home world.

Can't keep this up! I need to find a suitable hiding place for me to think about my next move. But ... where is such a place in this world?

Although the elves in this world had magic power, but their physique and stamina could not compare to humans. Contrary to humans, elves get tired quickly when they have to do physical activities without the help of magic even once.

Elves can bewitch the vehicle they are riding in order to run fast, but not on their own bodies. This was seen from the widening distance in the pursuit between the three elves and Dean.

"It is true as it is said in history. Humans are very physically strong!" exclaim Ren.

Dean turned his head back at a glance and saw the three elven youths stop chasing. The man cursed himself, why make world history about the wars of elves and humans as the background of the world "The Wasted Prince".

It was fortunate that I still slipped the difference in stamina and physical strength between elves and humans. If not, my life is over! dean in my heart.

In front of Dean was already seen the city border wall. Near the wall, there was a forest where the man had first entered this world. Apparently, Dean had been running around without direction until he had unknowingly returned to the starting point.

The forest is located within the city, which is located near the outer perimeter fort. Dean wrote it down as a place rarely visited, except by lower class citizens who collect firewood.

That means, near here is the settlement of Litavenue!

Dean paused for a moment while taking a deep breath. Now, he already knew where to hide, while making plans.

Meanwhile, the three elven youths saw Dean running further and further away, entering the slum in the capital city called Litavenue.

Not all citizens in this city had enough financial ability to be able to live in a mid-citizen district like that colorful haired elf trio. There was also a lower strata of citizens, living on the outskirts of the city, near the outermost fortress wall. Usually the lower citizens work as laborers for strata on it.

"He ran towards Litavenue!" yich exclaimed as he pointed towards the densely populated settlement on the edge of the city.

Ren clucked in annoyance. "ah! Damnit damnit! Once inside, the creature will be harder to find! Too densely populated in that district!"

"We just wait here. He'll come back sooner or later. Moreover, there was no way that human would survive in a place like Litavenue."

Dean continued to enter the slums in the capital of Legolas Kingdom. His name is Litavenue.

Unlike the tree settlement in the inner city wall area district which is occupied by only one family, Litavenue is just the opposite. One large tree in this slum can be occupied by five to six families at a time. That's also if the citizens can pay taxes, because Dean saw there are elves who live in branch huts on the side of the road.

Dean looked around. Dean knew Litavenue very well, so his vigilance had increased since entering it. Dean remembered that he had never written down the existence of black hair in this world, hence his head was the first thing to be covered first.

Dean saw a clothesline in front of a house and took a piece of cloth that was in the same color as the shirt he was wearing, then put it on his head like a hood.

Now, I have to be a clothesline like this! the man grumbled in his heart.

Later, Dean passed through an alley where many poor elves set up huts made of twigs, because they had no home.

They seemed to be passing by here and there in makeshift clothes. There were even tattered ones, as if they were just the only clothes they had. Some elves had wooden baskets on their backs, about to go off to the forest to pick fruits and other natural produce.

Dean looked around. During this time, he only wrote about a slum called Litavenue. Dean never wrote in detail what the residents of the settlement did and how they lived.

Now, all of that is visible in front of Dean's eyes. There was guilt in the man's heart, because he was the one who created this novel world that way.

But ... If not written like that, the background of his world will feel bland. After all, in every big city must have a dark side of each, right? dean said inwardly, seeking to seek a defense of the haunting guilt.

Dean sat by the side of the road in the alley, intending to take a break from the chase.

Ironically, the creator of this world must end up sitting by the roadside like a homeless man!

Dean sat cross-legged on the ground. The man touched his injured back. His blood has dried up. Dean could feel with his fingertips that all that was left was the peeling skin. Strange, even though his blood was dripping. His toes that had been attacked were no longer sick.

I have never written that the human race in this world has this characteristic of speedy recovery ... .

Dean's confused. However, the thought was quickly dispelled. There is something more urgent to think about!
