Melian orders the guards to open the lock of the prison, where Dean is being held captive. The girl stepped slowly toward Dean's body which had been exhausted from hanging for two hours. Unlike Liv who was handcuffed in a sitting position, currently the two transparent-looking Dean's hands were stretched upwards forming the letter V, bound using a magic chain.
Melian stroked Dean's chest, then continued on his stomach like torn bread. Although rarely exercising out, Dean is still diligent push-ups in his room. Melian stared in amazement at Dean's body, then stroked his cheek gently.
"I didn't expect to meet my idol in a situation like this. Different world anyway," Melian said with a small laugh.
"Rika, let me go. I have to go to the Lileathhof temple! I have to go back to my home world!" dean shouted, shaking violently the iron chains wrapped around his ankles.
However, Melian instead laughed so hard at Dean who was like that. As soon as his laughter subsided, he said, "Then, let you change the story of this novel, right? I definitely won't let it!"
"I've been waiting a long time to be a princess, to be a perfect Melian! Ever since I was born again, I have always performed well in my role. I try to take care of my body to always be smooth, also my hair to always be soft and not as limp as before.
I've always studied hard in order to meet everyone's expectations here, in order to become a full Melian. Everything moved as I wanted. I've even been a good brother and have always loved this useless sister!"
Melian yelled as she pointed at Liv in the next cell. "Do you know, I've long dreamed of being Haldir's partner. Every day I lived perfectly, just like what was written in the novel. But, suddenly everything has gotten out of control since Liv met you!"
"Sister .. know where you---"
"I'm not your brother!!" pekik Melian riled, cutting Liv's speech. "Basic stupid! I know you have a human friend, ever since I found red blood dripping on your bedroom floor! Only humans have such red blood!"
Liv gasps. He forgot that Dean had been injured by his magic attack when he came to the room. The girl did not expect that the color of Dean's blood made Melian realize there was something strange.
"Then suddenly, the scene of you being kicked out of the house happened sooner than it should have been written in the book. Something must have happened. As expected, you met someone who told you about the power of the crystal chunks in the Themaris cave."
Melian pointed sharply towards Liv in the cell. "I won't let you continue on until the time comes when I marry Haldir!"
"Rika, please! Can't you see both of my hands!" This time Dean who screamed took the attention of Melian aka Rika. The man shook his hands slightly wrapped in chains upwards. It was more transparent than it was last noticed.
"I will disappear the longer I am in this world! Please!"
"And let you change the script for Liv, did you? I won't!" reply Melian.
"I swear, even if I change the script about Liv, I'll keep you married to Haldir! Trust me!"
Melian scrunched her forehead. The girl began to weigh. However, given what had happened to him in his previous life, being betrayed by those he had taken for granted, made him to keep Dean's oath.
"You must be lying, I don't believe it anymore! You're all the same! They play on the feelings of others. I won't be stuck a second time!"
"Rika--"
"No!!"
Melian runs out of the basement, leaving Dean and Liv stranded. The guard again locked Dean's cell tightly, used a similar iron chain loop as the one holding Dean and Liv's body back, then went to his desk again.
Dean clucked in annoyance. Liv could only cry. Her desire to change destiny was as great as Rika's, but that chance would simply disappear from before her eyes.
"Liv!"
"It won't! This is no ordinary iron chain! This chain is equipped with anti-magic safety, it will not be destroyed that easily .. ," Liv replied while shaking weakly.
"certainly can! Remember, you are the strongest figure after Haldir! Try first!" Dean gave me spirit.
Liv looked towards both of her hands. Then, the girl closed her eyes, trying to gather magic energy from within the body. He imagined that his magic pores were open. Then from there, his energy flowed throughout the body and turned into a great power.
However, it is not that easy to make it happen. Liv knows that inside her she has accumulated so much magic energy, from her mother as a baby and the vicious animals that attacked in the Nitville forest yesterday. However, to turn it into a magic power that can be expended is quite difficult.
As soon as there was a magic spark from inside Liv, the chains on her wrists reacted. The iron bracelet depicts a sting that can injure anyone who dares to use magic to escape.
Magic is countered by that chain bracelet with magic anyway. So far out of all the criminals who have been imprisoned, nothing can defeat the magic power of the chain. The power of the sting released was comparable to the magic given.
"Ohhh!!" Liv yelling. He's a little surprised. His black fog, which had now turned white due to the crystal chunks, managed to protect him from the sting, though not as potent as usual.
This time, Liv still felt a little pain. Liv never felt physical pain because she was always protected by the fog. He felt physical pain for the first time. Liv looked amazed.
"What are you guys doing!!" A guard came after hearing Liv's scream and saw what the girl had been trying to do.
"Don't try, Miss! The strength of that chain would not be able to lose just like that!" The guard smiled grinning.
"Let us go, please!" pinta Liv's.
However, the guard refused firmly. "Miss Melian's rule is absolute."
Liv tried her powers again. The painful sting was again present. Again, Liv complains. However, Liv tries it constantly.
The guard squinted his eyes. He saw a strange thing. Liv's skin is not injured like other prisoners when exposed to the iron handcuffs, because it is protected by the fog. The power that turned on Liv was not comparable. The guard soldier knew that if left unchecked, Liv and the humans in the cell could be free.
"Stop, Miss!" the guard's orders. Of course Liv doesn't want to stop.
Dean felt something was suspicious. If the guard believes the handcuffs are strong, why is he screaming in panic? This means, these handcuffs can come off if Liv keeps trying!
"Liv, don't be discouraged! Another bit! Go, Liv!" Dean shouted excitedly. Liv nodded. He came back and tried. The guard examines Liv's handcuffs from outside the cell. There's starting to be a little crack visible there.
"Can't be allowed, I can be fired like this!" the guard panicked. He seemed to think. His eyes shifted toward Dean's cell. An idea in his mind. The guard rushes to open Dean's cell, enters and stands next to the human.
The guard connected Liv and Dean's handcuffs. Supposedly, any magic power received by the handcuffs will give back the giver a sting. In that case, Liv should have been seriously injured. However, due to the fog protecting her, Liv is still fine. The girl had not been hurt at all, but had already released a considerable amount of magic power from earlier. He just complained about the pain, as if he had just been pinched.
The guard had an idea. He casts his magic, does something to Dean and Liv's handcuffs. As soon as Liv unleashed her powers, the sting that the elf girl should have received instead attacked Dean. The human man's screams echoed throughout the basement.
"Aghhhh!!"
