The Antagonist's Full Moon

The Antagonist's Full Moon
4. Other Ways

"No .. I didn't kill Mom! No!" Liv shouted unconsciously. His voice was heard all the way into the lobby, followed by a more distant pace. Olrun and Melian immediately got up from sitting so surprised.

"Liv?" Melian was about to catch up with Liv, but her hand was prevented by Olrun.

"Once, let it go! After all, that's the fact."

"Dad!" Melian released the grip of Olrun's hand. "After all, she's still my sister!"

Melian ran after Liv upstairs. But late, Liv first closes the door. Many times Melian yelled, but Liv did not press. Eventually, Melian gave up.

"All you need to know is, Liv, I'll stay by your side!" melian shouted, hoping for her voice to reach inside Liv's room, before she finally went downstairs. Her brother did not know, that in Liv's hand there was a sharp glass shard from the closet mirror that he destroyed.

Liv's eyes were so dark. In his mind there was only one word: death. Liv thinks that's what's supposed to happen to her. He had even lost one very precious life. Liv looked at her reflection in the mirror and felt disgusted.

"Dad is right. Monsters like me should just disappear from this world ... ."

Liv held out her right hand, while her left hand was ready with broken glass. The girl closed her eyes, then brought the sharp end of the object closer to the skin of the wrist.

Let me die .. After this, I can meet Mom up there and apologize for what I did .. , Liv said in her heart.

However, as happened in the past, it also happens in the present day. A blanket of black mist appeared all over Liv's body. Unwanted by the girl, the fog began to become more pronounced in black and thickened, especially on the wrist. The sharp glass fragments cannot penetrate to the skin.

Liv tries to injure other parts of her body, but the result remains the same. Wherever Liv wanted to make herself hurt, the fog thickened in that part. The fog always appears when it detects any physical attack that will attack Liv and disappear when the danger is over, as if to protect her employer.

"Why! Why am I not allowed to just end my life! Why!"

Liv threw the broken glass in her hand at the wall. The girl cried while sitting hugging her knees. Even to die alone the universe had rejected him.

"Oh," Liv suddenly thought of something, "there are many ways to eliminate her own life, not necessarily by injuring her wrist, right? How about for example ... ."

Liv wiped away the tears left on her cheeks. He resolved to atone for sin, in any way. Not with magic, because Liv's strength was too weak when compared to the elves of her age. The girl thought of another way.

Liv took the hood coat from inside the closet. Then, he opened the window of the room. Liv looked down at the house. The distance was quite high, about twenty meters, but Liv had no intention of ending her life by plunge. After all, the result must have been a failure, considering that he had a black fog that was always ready to protect. Liv thought of a way that even her fog would be unable to act anything.

Liv descends the Themaris family tree mansion with the help of vines that are strong enough to stick to the trunk, from bottom to top. One by one his feet rest on the tendrils of the plant until the ground. Then, with a small run, Liv heads to where she wants to end her life.

"It seems like someone just passed by" a man told his friend. His eyes caught the shadow of someone moving so quickly between the roots of the mansion tree.

"really? I felt like there was a shadow of someone wearing a dress. Did I see it wrong, huh?"

"Wear dress? Women, you mean? How could this woman in Legolas Kingdom dare to go out alone at night? It can be talked about around!"

"Ah, right too."

The conversation between the two men really made Liv worried. His heart was beating so fast that he panicked. The girl was hiding behind one of the tree roots of someone's house. As soon as the two young men passed by, Liv took a sigh of relief. Both hands are placed on the chest, to calm the heartbeat.

In the Kingdom of Legolas, there was an unwritten tradition for women, not to walk at night alone unaccompanied. It was considered unethical, because the female elves were considered honorable and could maintain their honor. There are no special sanctions, it's just that the family name can be tainted because of it. In fact, walking with a companion will be questioned, whether there is still a family relationship, engaged, or not at all. Answering with the third option will make the woman and her companion judged by social sanctions by the local community.

Liv knows the tradition, but Liv is forced to go out alone at this time. She couldn't have invited her brother when the goal was to end her life. However, Liv also does not want to be caught by the residents if she is out alone at night. Liv just wants nothing, so she can disappear from her father's life, not defame the family.

Liv walks from behind one tree trunk to another. The destination was the lake behind the palace complex. Liv knew that even during the day the lake was crowded by nobles who were recreation or just a walk, but not so at night. When the sunset arrived, the lake was quiet, until only the sound of crickets could be heard.

Liv will try to drown herself at the bottom of the lake.

That night, the full moon appeared. Once Liv's body was exposed to the full moonlight, her skin color changed to porcelain white like other elves. Even so, Liv did not change her original purpose.

"My shortcomings disappeared during the full moon. But why be normal, if only in certain moments?" grouse Liv.

Not long after, Liv reached the lake area in question. The moon shines very brightly and is fully rounded above the surface of the water. The leaves rattled with the wind blowing. To the south of the lake, there are shrubs that border the fence of the palace complex. This lake is indeed located outside the back area of the Royal palace of Legolas.

Moonlite Lake, that's what it's called. This area is quiet after sunset, but its name is taken from objects that are visible only at night. Residents do not like to walk in the cold night air when there is no event or urgent need.

Liv hides behind a bush and watches the surroundings closely. He wanted to disappear silently and drown without anyone knowing. So, Liv made sure that there were no palace guards patrolling around this lake.

Apparently, Liv's worries were too much. The bodyguards were simply patrolling the inside of the palace complex, not getting out. In fact, it seemed like they would not be able to see that there were people walking around the lake at night like this.

After feeling pretty safe, Liv comes out of hiding. The elf girl approached the edge of the lake, then took off her shoes in the form of worn-out sandals given by her brother. The tip of his foot touched the surface of the water. It feels cold because autumn is coming soon.

Liv's desire was shaky when he felt the cold water. Plus, when Liv opened the headscarf, a cold wind blew. Her long and taper ears seemed to shudder. However, Liv again made up her mind. Liv had stuck one leg into the water. Liv was shaking, it felt cold to the bone.

However, just as Liv was about to insert the other leg, she was startled by someone's call. "Hey! What are you doing?"
