"There's a wire on my neck."
Ethan's pupils grew up reading what Dante had written, he looked at the man who now turned his head back, he pointed to where the eavesdropping device was planted by Jose.
"Alright," Ethan said then while nodding in understanding. "If you want to keep quiet, then shut up forever. I'll find your daughter and finish her in front of you."
There was no anger in Ethan's eyes when the threat was made to Dante, because it was a charade.
"Work as best you can, Mr. Mayer, get out of my sight and please find whoever you want to find" Dante said as he returned to writing something on the ground.
"I give up on you, for my daughter's sake. If I open my mouth, they'll kill my daughter, if I shut up, they promise to pay for my daughter's treatment, she's got a heart defect. But I don't think you're gonna let go, you're gonna kill my daughter, too. I've heard of your cruelty, now I'm giving up and will tell the brain of all this. Just so you promised me you wouldn't hurt my daughter and you wouldn't let them hurt her."
Ethan is stunned when he reads what Dante wrote, he has heard of Ethan's cruelty?
The mafia don smiled wryly, as if only Louisa knew Ethan as a loving and kind-hearted man.
Dante looked at Ethan who was currently also staring at him, the man gesturing for Dante to tell who the hiding enemy was.
"Jose."
Ethan immediately smiled as Dante wrote the name.
"I guessed it," Ethan.
...🦋...
"He's expressing his feelings? What's your answer, honey?" lady Agatha asked when Louisa told me about Ed expressing her feelings.
"Of course I refused, Mom, I love Ethan" Louisa said.
At the moment the mother and the child are enjoying time together, they watch a drama that is actually not interesting enough.
However, the two did not bother about it because only now Louisa and Lady Agatha had time together, chatting casually, sharing stories about their days. Things they never did before.
"Lou, can't you think about it anymore, Dear?" Lady Agatha looked at her daughter with nanar. "Ethan is 12 years older than you__"
"Even one married a man 20 years older, Mom," Louisa quickly argued.
"If age isn't a problem for you, then what about his status as a Don mafia? A gangster, Lou."
Louisa was silent, she let out a long sigh and recalled Ethan's story about his family.
"Louis?" Madame Agatha touched her daughter's arm gently. "Your life can always be in danger, honey, and Mommy doesn't want that to happen."
"Ethan will always protect me, Mom," said Louisa.
"It won't always be, Lou, you can be wretched because of him." Lady Agatha slightly raised her tone, not the intention of yelling but she just wanted to be firm with Louisa.
"Look now, he's sending you to a faraway place because he can't protect you." Further.
"He sent me here as his protection, Mom," Louisa said, making her look upset.
"Geez, your love has blinded you, Lou."
Louisa chuckled then said, "That's why everyone says love is blind."
...🦋...
"He did it all for the sake of his daughter, Simon," Ethan said. "He doesn't know Peter much less have a personal grudge against Peter, don't hurt him."
"Don't hurt her?" squealing Simon emotion. "He made Peter die, you're asking me not to hurt him?"
"What if that Dante is you and that Angel is me?" hiss Ethan. "That boy was only six years old, Simon, Dante was just trying to save his daughter because she was the only one Angel had."
Simon is silent, trying to understand what Ethan is explaining. "No child wants to lose his parents" Ethan later wrote. "And no parent in the world can see his child suffer, nor can Dante."
The two men are now silent, Ethan again remembered his parents, as well as Louisa when she lost her father. Should poor Angel feel what Ethan and Louisa feel?
While Simon tried to calm his rumbling heart, trying to put his conscience back on.
"Then what should we do?" simon asked after a long silence.
"Compose a plan to save Angel, and also prepare for all possibilities" said Ethan. "They know our location, maybe they'll attack us first."
"Nobody has done that before" Simon said.
"Once, said Marlon's grandfather," Ethan denied. "But they can all be finished off easily, which is why after that no one attacked the base directly."
"Then they're probably planning something right now, either to lure us out or penetrate our defenses."
...🦋...
"Piercing their defence is very unlikely unless we have an army two or three times bigger than them" Dexter told Jose and Amber.
The three men are currently plotting revenge against Ethan.
"Then, should we lure them out?" ask Amber.
Jose's memory was immediately reflected in the events in the tunnel. "I don't think that's possible either" said Jose.
"Even though Ethan looks alone, but he's never really alone. I've had a pretty good experience for it." Further.
"Then what should we do now?" Suddenly Amber shouted furiously. "We can't get into their stronghold, nor can we lure them out. Then can we just keep silent like cowards?"
"Calm down, Amber!" firmly Dexter. "We're looking for the best solution."
"What kind of solution? It's been days that we just kept thinking about the plan without finding a clear point, is it that hard to kill Ethan Mayer?"
"You've never dealt with it in person" Jose said. "He was like an angel of death while slaughtering his enemy, and he looked like a friend of the angel of death when in danger because he did not die even though he was dying often."
"He must have a weakness" Dexter said.
"Louisa Rae, she's his weakness."
"You and daddy have failed to use the girl as bait" Amber said. "Now he must have protected the girl even tighter."
"And we don't know where he is now." Dexter added.
"We still have the last way" Amber said later. "Working with all of Ethan's enemies, the enemy's enemies are friends, right?" Amber rang out as she thought of that cunning plan.
"If our powers were all put together, it would definitely destroy Ethan."
"Good idea."
