Chapter 7 - The Hidden

"What is Mr Mayer's order?" asked a middle-aged man to Peter who was currently filling his gun with ammunition.

"Exit him," Peter answered with a flat face then he turned to the man by his side. "You want to accompany me, Simon?" tanyakanya.

"You're gonna shoot him?" ask Simon without answering Peter's question. "I thought Mr. Mayer would finish him off on his own, or maybe throw him into the lion's den" Simon chuckled.

"He's busy, you know for yourself right now he can't be bothered" Peter said.

"Is he okay? I didn't dare call him first" Simon said with an anxious look on his face.

"He's fine, he'll always be fine" Peter replied with a slanted smile. "There will never be a man who can put him in danger, for he himself is a terrible distress."

"Yeah, you're right" Simon said. "But still I'm worried about him, I already consider him my own son."

"Your son is a lion, he is king. He doesn't need to be worried about anyone."

After uttering that agile and proud sentence, Peter and Simon immediately rushed into an onion chamber.

If the basement is usually dark, it only has a dim light. However, not with the basement designed by Ethan himself. The room was brightly lit, there were some rooms like a prison and one that was narrow but also bright but for no reason was even still a land.

"Mr Mayer knew very well how to create fear for his enemies" Simon chortled. "By making such a brightly lit room, the traitors can see their wounds and blood or their plotters very clearly" he said.

"Yeah, Mr. Mayer is never wrong in deciding anything."

Now the two men entered one of the corner rooms, where there was a man who was weakly sprawled with all the wounds all over his body. In fact, the blood had already dried up on his arms, legs and head.

"How are you feeling now, man?" peter asked but with a smile and a gaze filled with ridicule, the man raised his face with the rest of his strength.

"Kill me, damn it!" the man growled with a voice that was almost gone.

"Yeah, Mr. Mayer has indeed ordered you to be killed" Peter replied, holding a gun to the man's head. "Traitors like you are supposed to die."

"Mommy!"

Louisa woke up from her sleep with sweat flooding all over her body, she looked so frightened and not long after the door of her room opened.

"Miss Rae?" call Bi Amy worried.

"Aunt Amy, I'm having a nightmare" cried Louisa.

Aunt Amy approached Louisa, wiping away the cold sweat that had soaked the girl's temples. "It's just a dream, don't be afraid" Bi Amy comforted.

"No one will hurt you, Miss Rae, we will all protect" Bi Amy said, hoping that her young lady would calm down. "Now go to sleep, it's night, baby."

"By my company tonight, Bi Amy, I'll have another nightmare."

Bi Amy nodded, she enveloped Louisa properly and slowly the girl closed her eyes again while her hand still tightly grasped Bi Amy's hand.

"Bi, can you sing me a song?" pinta Louisa without opening her eyes.

"Alright, Miss Rae," Bi Amy replied happily.

Things like this not only happen once or twice, but very often. When the young Miss is sick, or the nightmare is now, she will always be there for Louisa. Therefore he and Louisa have a different closeness from other servants.

Although Louisa also often applies not well to him, but Bi Amy does not mind it because it knows actually Louisa just lack affection and attention from her parents. Actually the girl was not as naughty as people saw, but she just wanted to attract everyone's attention because she didn't get it from her parents.

"Do you feel at home working here?" tony asked, because Ethan had been silent like a mute.

"Yes" replied Ethan briefly.

"While no one has felt at home as Miss Rae's personal bodyguard, at the most they only worked two months because they could not stand the girl's behavior" explained Theo.

Ethan only glanced at the middle-aged man without even responding to his story.

"Where have you worked before?" ask Tony.

"In many places," Ethan answered still expressionless.

"Have you ever gotten a boss like Miss Rae?"

Ethan glanced at Tony in annoyance, his facial features looking so cold that even his eyes were so sharp. It succeeds in making Tony shudder in horror, Ethan looks different from the other Bodyguard

Not long after, Louisa came and he immediately took Ethan's hand to make the man surprised. "What's up, Miss Rae?" ask Ethan.

"Let's go in, I want to have breakfast with my future girlfriend" Louisa cheerfully said.

"Sorry, Miss Rae, I don't want to be your boyfriend" Ethan argued.

Louisa clucked in annoyance. "You want to be my boyfriend or I rape you, will you? Huh?"
