Chapter 28 - Can I Escape?

Ethan binds Louisa using the girl's shall, while Louisa continues to whine asking Ethan to release herself and her parents.

"If my father is guilty, give the evidence to the police, Ethan. Let them punish him."

"I've done that 22 years ago, Miss Rae, but they're closing the case because they took bribes from your father" Ethan said at length.

Louisa's cry became more so, in just a few hours of her life now turned upside down and she did not know what to do. Too many surprises come, the fact that Ethan broke into his house for revenge has left Louisa's soul shaken. And now he must also accept the fact that his father was a murderer.

Louisa doesn't want to believe it, but what her mother says leaves Louisa with no choice but to believe it.

"Ethan, if you want to kill the brand, just kill me first because I can't lose them" Louisa exclaimed in despair.

"Oh yeah?" cynical Ethan. "The thing is you're a hostage, Miss Rae, you're my weapon to take your father. So I won't kill you before that bastard returns my kingdom."

"I'll persuade daddy to give you whatever you want, Daddy will follow my will, I beg you." Louisa still does not stop persuading Ethan, hoping that the man can show a little compassion.

"No," Ethan argued. "My goal from the beginning was to take what he took and certainly wipe out his life like he wiped out my parents." Ethan insists, making Louisa feel even more broken up.

"Ethan!" call Louisa when Ethan comes out of the room. "Ethan, I beg you!" Louisa screamed in tears as Ethan locked the door to her room.

Ethan leaned against the door leaf while holding his thumping chest, even the doubt felt back in his heart when he heard Louisa's cry.

Therefore Ethan must keep Louisa away from him, the girl can shake his heart.

Inside, Louisa tried to untie her hands while crying sobbing. If Ethan is determined to kill his father, Louisa is determined to save him.

While below, Peter opens the main door when most of Mr. Bertrand's men have been successful.

Now there are only a few tough Bodyguards who fight fiercely with the members of The Eagle, including Theo who is still fighting with the head of security of the Rae family.

Their strength was balanced, even now Theo was battered as was his opponent.

The two of them already looked overwhelmed, but they had to keep attacking and defending until someone died.

When the main door opened wide, Madam Agatha could only hold her breath seeing that some of the people working with her were now dead bodies.

Fear and guilt were evident in his eyes, in contrast to Mr. Bertrand who looked angry.

"Ethan, where's Louisa?" lady Agatha asked Ethan who had just arrived.

Ethan walks out to see the situation there firsthand.

Miris, that was what Ethan felt when he saw some people lying on the ground covered in blood. The fishy smell of blood was also so stinging in his sense of smell.

Ethan sees that Theo is still fighting, he has taken up arms to kill Theo's seemingly formidable opponent but Theo immediately prevents Ethan.

"I beg you not to embarrass me, Mr. Mayer," cried Theo. "I can finish him off with my hands."

Ethan chuckles and then lowers his weapon, he also witnesses the humans who are like animals. They continued to attack each other mercilessly.

Now Ethan's attention is on Theo who managed to deliver a crushing blow right on his opponent's neck, followed by a hard kick in his stomach to make the man helpless.

As Theo promised, he would slash the enemy's neck. So, Theo dragged the man before Mr. Bertrand like dragging a deer that he had hunted and he finished off.

Mr. Bertrand could only hold his breath seeing the aide helplessly.

"You see this?" cynical Theo while slashing the neck of his aide very slowly. However, of course with a deep enough incision so that blood immediately poured out from the neck of the aide of the Rae family's trust.

Madame Agatha and the servants screamed when they saw the man now fall with a convulsing body until he finally stopped moving.

While Mr. Bertrand was now feeling shaken, his guts shriveled and fear smashed into his heart.

In the past, he did kill Ethan's family but without dirtying his own hands. And the way they slaughtered was by shooting, not by slaughtering sadistically.

"Ethan!" shouted Madame Agatha who immediately ran and then rested at Ethan's feet. "Please kill us all, take our treasure but I beg you not Lou, not my daughter." Lady Agatha cuddled.

Seeing how sadistic Ethan's murderous men make him feel so scared, what if Louisa has the same fate?

"I'm going to shoot right in the head or the heart" Ethan said coldly. "So he won't feel pain for long."

"NO! I BEG YOU NOT!" Lady Agatha let out a frustrated scream, while the husband was still in his place and the servants could only cry.

Simultaneously, the sudden sound of helicopters and police sirens made Mr. Bertrand smile again.

Help came.
