Chapter 31 - What Is Left?

As Ethan exits their home, Louisa's parents run straight to their daughter's room.

"Oh my God," muttered Lady Agatha crying profusely as she saw her daughter was fine despite still being unconscious.

He immediately ran up to Louisa and hugged her, while Mr. Bertrand could only stand with an empty look.

Ethan really ruined his glorious life in just under 48 hours.

All his people are dead, all his possessions are gone. Now, all he had was his wife and daughter.

"Lou, get up, honey." Lady Agatha patted Louisa's cheek gently. "Darling, it's over. Everything's fine, let's get up."

"Should we repay him?"

Madam Agatha immediately threw her sharp gaze upon hearing what the husband said.

"Didn't you see a corpse under that, huh?" shouted Madame Agatha. "Aren't you going to stop until you see my dead body and Louisa's?"

Mr. Bertrand fell silent, he approached Louisa and clasped her daughter's very cold hand. "But I give Lou a decent life, pity him if we live with nothing."

"What's going on? You canceled the main plan, Mr. Mayer. Is it because of that little girl?"

Ethan is reluctant to answer Peter's question, he is busy changing clothes with clean ones.

Right now they're all in a helicopter flying towards Ethan's family mansion.

"You fell in love with her?" peter's lips while smiling sideways.

"I see myself in him" Ethan said at last.

"Then what? You forget that they slaughtered your family?"

"I remember and I've already returned."

"But they're alive now."

"Living in adversity is worse than death."

"What if he devises a plan for revenge?"

"Are you scared?"

"I'm just worried about you, Ethan, your parents left you with us."

When Ethan and Peter clash, Simon can only listen in silence, while Theo is still focused on treating his wounds and the wounds of his men.

While in his room, Ethan looks at Louisa as he closes his eyes. This makes Ethan unable to sleep even though he feels very tired.

Ethan goes to the bathroom, he washes his face and stares at the reflection of his face in the mirror.

"Why doesn't everything go according to plan?"

He rubbed his hair rough. "I'm sorry, Mom, Dad! I didn't kill your killers but I managed to get them to have nothing, I hope you guys feel like that's enough."

Fighting sounds.

Threats.

Bloods.

Corpses.

Louisa growled stifled in her sleep, her hands squeezed the bed sheet firmly and her forehead wrinkled deeply.

Cold sweat soaked Louisa's forehead and entire body.

"No!"

"Don't!"

He was delirious and even started to sob. "Don't, I beg you!"

"Lou?" Madame Agatha immediately patted Louisa on the cheek. "Wake up, son."

"Mommy!"

Louisa opened her eyes while screaming in fear, her mother quickly hugged her tightly.

"Mommy!"

"I ... I had a bad dream," said Louisa, who made Lady Agatha immediately shed her tears. "I saw Bi Amy, and everyone has__" Louisa hung up her words, she recalled the events from yesterday to last night and all that?
